Oh, Pauly "DJ Pauly D" Delvecchio…have you been cheating on me? No? Well, you've been cheating on MTV, although I can't say I blame you. You were enticed by the dimples and flashy Kardashian representation that Ryan Seacrest provides. I don't think anyone will judge you.
The acronym creating, high hair wearing, "cabs are heeya" screaming star of Jersey Shore is getting a new show…and it's not on the network that made him an international reality star and a household name. That's right. He's potentially moving on to E! What a tangled web we weave when first we practice to hop to another channel for more money. I'm not hating, Pauly…I want you in my TV line-up regardless.
Last night was a big night for the ladies ofTeen Mom 2. Chelsea Houskais taking baby steps to get her life in order, while Jenelle Evans seems to have found an somewhat upstanding guy. Leah Messer moves on with a new love while Kailyn Lowry wants to live in the past. These girls are exhausting!
We begin as Leah and Jeremy make it official after her first motorcycle ride. When he asks about what went wrong with Corey to which she replies, "He did some things, I did some things." Jeremy doesn't care. He couldn't be happier that he sent that Facebook friend request!
Chelsea's friend has encouraged her to see a therapist. Chelsea isn't ready to give up Adam, but she admits to having issues with depression and low self-esteem before Adam ever came along.
Jenelle is passing all of her drug tests, and she's back in school. She has lunch with her mom Barbara, and she admits that she's stopped taking her bi-polar meds. Barbara wants Jenelle to make a doctor's appointment to refill her prescription which Jenelle says she'll do "when she has time." We all know how that turns out, don't we? She admits to her mother that she's going to hang out with a new guy. Barbara thinks that a new skinny kid is exactly what her daughter needs to take her mind off of Kieffer. She praises Jenelle's more responsible attitude and agrees to let her take Jace to Myrtle Beach for the day.
When Jo comes to pick up Isaac, Kailyn is crying over Jordan. He tries to console her by telling her any guy that would stand her up isn't worth the tears. Poor Jo. He can't win for losing.
I realize they are probably too old to be the party animals they are at this age (although that throws a wrench in my social plans), but they are still human, vulnerable, and fun-loving. You can't help but relate to that…or maybe you can't, but I can.
On last night's episode, the boys have recently made peace with Jionni. Jenni calls Roger who reveals that Jenni has been pot stirring about Jionni's mismatched relationships with the guy roommates. Jenni isn't happy that Jionni says she's been talking crap about her. Rawn is quick to defend Jenni although he knows what was said at the guys' night out. Jenni decides to go straight to the source and calls Jionni. She questions why Jionni thinks that she's been talking smack. As far as Jenni is concerned, Jionni wasn't present for the first half of the summer. He bends, she forgives, and the pair loves each other for the sake of Snooki.
Last night's Teen Mom 2 was thankfully less dramatic than normal. It was a refreshing break from the normal yelling and sobbing. Of course there were tears (after all Chelsea Houska is still on the show!), but it wasn't the normal Jenelle Evans drama. Kailyn Lowry ended a relationship while Leah Messer started a new one. Over all, it was a relatively low-key episode.
Jordan is still distrusting of Kailyn when it comes to her spending time with Jo. While I can see his point with her, I don't think he needs to worry about Jo…he seems to be well over Kailyn. The following day at school, Kailyn chats with a friend about their love triangle…and there's that flipping feather in her hair! Her friend wants her to try being single for a while. Kailyn hasn't been single since she was fifteen. She basically admits that she's with Jordan for support.
Jenelle is trying to put her anger towards her mom aside so she can spend time with Jace. His second birthday is coming up, but she can't plan a party because she's too busy lunching with friends and worrying about her parole violation. I'm guessing she's probably smoking a bunch of weed as well. Jenelle has decided that she's going to quit smoking and send her probation officer an apology letter in hopes of avoiding jail time. Her friend Tori promises to quit smoking as well so Jenelle won't have to be drug-free all alone. Sweet!
If you've been watching anything on MTV, chances are you've seen previews for it's new reality show Buckwild. It's like Jersey Shore, but with rednecks…and a lot of dangerous looking antics. I think it would make Honey Boo Boo proud.
Remember when Italian Americans and the citizens of New Jersey had such an issue with our favorite GTLers? Well, West Virginians and Southerners are feeling the same way about Buckwild. I have to say though that all of this controversy is making me want to watch the insanity…even though, as a Southerner, I should be totally offended.
We resume the Jersey Shore with Vinny trying to make amends with Snooki's fiance Jionni…at his future son's baby shower no less. It's super awkward. Jionni questions Vinny about joking that Vin is the actual dad. The conversation is seamless, and all is good in the land of Jionni and Vin. Really? I thought that MTV would have sprung for more drama. Thankfully Jionni's insecurities don't get in the way of a bottle chugging contest. Rawn wins. Who is shocked?
Snooki loves unwrapping baby clothes, champagne, and wine, typical baby shower gifts. Jenni asks Jionni to come around more often which basically calls him out for not being present up to this point. Snooki is just thrilled for a baby day. While she still can't look at Mike, she's excited about all of her presents. Mike is planning his entrance for when he can finally make amends with Snooki. After a Mike-Snooki video montage, Sitch heads to Nicole's apartment. I'm unsure as to whether this is part of his twelve step program. Yikes.
With just three more episodes left of Jersey Shore, JWoww and Snooki are going to send it off in style. The finale is on December 20th, but the Shore girls will reunite just 2 weeks later for New Year's Eve.
MTV has invited JWoww and Snooki to be the co-hosts for their New Year's Eve party: Club NYE 2013.
The Jersey Shore guidettes will be joined by musical guests Ke$ha (Jenelle Evans is packing her car for the road trip as we speak), Ne-Yo, Sean Kingston, Rita Ora (so we can rule out Rob Kardashian attending) and Conor Maynard.
Some might say it's the end of an era. I'd say that. RIP camo hat. I guess much like Leah Messer being replaced in Corey Simms' life of wedded bliss, his hat must also be replaced. In this case, he has replaced both Leah and the hat with a more conservative, less redneck version…although if you look closely at both the new fiance and Leah and camo hat and new hat, they all are pretty interchangeable, right down to the bleached hair, fake nails, and super curved bill.
Likewise, just how everything in Corey's world will always follow a simpler, flame-emblazoned truck story line, Jenelle Evans also likes to follow a script…and not one from the local pharmacy (that we know of, although I'm sure she wouldn't turn down any Rx painkillers). It's a Teen Mom 2 post of stuff that won't surprise you in the least!
