Neil Murphy Speaks Out About His Final Days With Mob Wives’ Big Ang

Everyone is still mourning the loss of larger than life Mob Wives star Big Ang after she succumbed to cancer on February 18th. The series aired its last episode on Wednesday followed by a tribute to everyone’s favorite Staten Islander that I couldn’t watch…to the commenter who compared the tacky special to a budget New Year’s Eve spectacle, you couldn’t have made a better comparison.

That said, it was incredibly hard to watch Ang wrapping up her final scenes by revealing her cancer had returned and that she’d split from husband Neil Murphy. While Ang and Neil’s ups and downs were chronicled this season and on Couples Therapy, the pair showcased a hilarious and fun-loving side on Ang’s lighthearted spin-off. Regardless of their relationship status at the time of Ang’s death, Neil clearly loved his wife immensely, and he wants to make sure everyone knows how much he adored her.

Couples Therapy Finale Recap: Let’s Get This Party Started

Wow. It’s hard to believe that it was already time for the Couples Therapy finale – I mean, doesn’t it seem like the season just started? Time sure flies when you’re ~~hating on your significant other~~ having fun, doesn’t it? So, let’s get straight to it here, folks. Last week, we watched a beautifully romantic proposal by Adrian that began to go horribly wrong when Carmen started to question all of the things that SHE wanted for her wedding day. Notice the emphasis on Carmen.

Would Carmen come to her senses and realize that her wedding wasn’t just about her, but it was about Adrian and their love, as well? For starters, things didn’t go off without a hitch (hey, this is Couples Therapy, after all). And while most of the couples would leave the house in a better place, one couple called it quits! Couples Therapy Recap: Let’s Talk About Sex, Baby!

That’s right, sex talk! Because that is always the most exciting part of a relationship, right? Kidding (or am I?)…after overcoming their childhood trauma last time on Couples Therapy, Dr. Jenn wanted to hear all about the couples’ adventures in the bedroom, or at least how their sex lives were going. And it was definitely, um, interesting to say the least. In fact, you may be shocked to hear who was embarrassed to even talk about it. And even more exciting this week was a surprise marriage proposal!

However, before I get to all those juicy details, there was another matter that needed to be dealt with – Scott Stapp’s father. Dr. Jenn managed to get Scott’s father to come to the house for a face to face meeting with his son for the first time in many, many years. Needless to say it was emotional for both, but did Scott get the closure that he so desperately longed for? You’ll have to come inside to find out!

Couples Therapy Recap: Who Wears The Pants In This Relationship?

Last week on Couples Therapy, we watched as Joe returned to the house, and did his best to explain what happened, hoping that everyone would give him the benefit of the doubt that he is not a woman beater. Woman beater or not though, Joe and Kaylin’s problems were far from over. We were also shocked to watch as Carmen took over the “shut the hell up already award,” but that was all about to change.

This week, Dr. Jenn’s goal was to determine who wore the pants in the relationship, and guess what? And though we already know who does in each relationship, it was time for the couples to exchange the power. Needless to say, that did not go over well for some, but for others, it was a nice surprise! Get all the details after the jump.

Video – Couples Therapy Season 6 Superteaser!

Couples Therapy is back – and per the usual some our favorite reality stars from other shows are migrating to Dr. Jenn in the hopes of salvaging their relationships! Apparently people need reality television cameras for that… (complains I who relishes in watching!). In the newly released super teaser VH1 teases all the major breakdowns, arguments, tears, and tantrums.

Season 6 promises to be “the most explosive ever” but is also endearing. Featuring reality television veterans such as Janice Dickinson (fresh from Celebrity Big Brother!) and Big Ang of Mob Wives fame. This season confronts serious issues such as gender identity, drug and alcohol abuse, and domestic violence. When the cast learns Carmen Carrera is transgender, predictably (and very unfortunately) not everyone is accepting.

Mob Wives’ Big Ang Recovering From Throat Cancer: “I Quit Smoking The Day I Found Out”

We haven’t heard much from Angela “Big Ang” Raiola recently as the beloved reality star has been battling throat cancer. However, after opting for two major surgeries instead of chemotherapy, the Mob Wives scene-stealer is recovering well after doctors removed a tumor the size of a lemon from her throat.

Big Ang is rarely filmed for the VH1 series without an ever-present cigarette dangling from her giant painted lips, but that is no longer the case. Diagnosed in March, Big Ang immediately gave up the nasty habit cold turkey. She’s ready to be back in business, and her struggle with cancer, as well as relationship stresses with husband Neil Murphy, will be featured on the upcoming season of Couple’s Therapy.
