Nene Leakes vs Star Jones

You either love her or you hate her as no one I know has ever had a neutral opinion about NeNe Leakes.

In a recent radio interview with the Russ Parr Morning Show, NeNe, who stars on the Celebrity Apprentice, is not happy about the insinuations in the line of questioning inferring she bullies fellow cast mates. Of course, the always diplomatic and never defensive NeNe attempted to set the record straight.

She tells the radio show, “I don’t know what you been watching because nobody has said that I seem like I’m the bully on ‘Celebrity Apprentice.’ I know I’m not a bully and everybody has their opinions and that’s fine with me. You’re not on the show, I am. So you don’t know what goes on.” Well, I guess that’s it then, NeNe is not a bully. Not one to end it there, NeNe goes on to share what it is about her sparkling personality that could potentially lead to that false public opinion. She adds, “I’m not bullying anybody. I stand up for what I believe in, and I’m very honest, and I always tell the truth. I’m not a liar, I’m not manipulative, and I don’t stab you in your back, because I will stab you in your chest.” I’m just concerned that regardless, stabbing is involved.

NeNe insists that it is her star quality and not her penchant for drama that landed her on Celebrity Apprentice. “I’m on the show because I am very popular and Mr. Donald Trump handpicked me himself,” she insisted. NeNe did admit to the radio hosts that Apprentice wasn’t her cup of tea and revealed that she was soon hoping to get her own show. If that happens, I know I’ll be watching. Seriously.

When asked if her slightly (?) negative portrayal was the fault of editing (isn’t that what all reality stars say is to blame for less than stellar reputations?), NeNe is not happy. She retorts, “You need to say that to your listeners and also you haven’t seen Star be manipulative, evil and conniving? She was calling me uneducated. She likes to pull the ‘I’m more educated than anyone’ card all of the time. Just because you went to school for ten years doesn’t mean you are smarter than me because we are on the same show getting the same check. I don’t like people who like to put out bad information. That’s not cool to the listeners. I have a very big heart. I’m a very good person and there’s nobody you can talk to that has ever been around me that would tell you anything other than that. That is who I am and what you see on TV is TV.” It’s very commendable to own her behavior, I have to say, but I am guessing that Gregg or Kim Zolciak may think otherwise as to how fabulous she says she is.

Recently fired “celebrity” castmate Hope Dworaczyk also dished about NeNe’s behavior, as well as that of NeNe’s Apprentice nemesis Star Jones. In the past, Hope has called NeNe “unstable” but opened up to E! Online about both co-stars. “Star was bossy and you couldn’t tell her any different, but NeNe was a bitch, too…I love them both and I hate them both, because they were so hard to work with, yet, when we were in our down time, they were fun and enlightening and dancing on the floor.” Too bad that Hope won’t be dancing on the floor of Trump Towers with NeNe any longer.

What drama can NeNe stir up innocently come across on tonight’s episode? Watch the following preview of the special three-hour episode below!

TELL US – DO YOU THINK NENE IS A BULLY?

On last night’s episode of the Celebrity Apprentice, it was Nene vs Star take, oh who’s keeping count! The two ladies butted heads once again, well actually it was more of the Nene verbally attacking yet another person on national television, while Star just attempted to keep her distance cool.

The episode begins with Nene Leakes still reeling over the elimination of her new BFF La Toya Jackson. You know, the same person she verbally attacked a few weeks ago and the same person she helped send packing. Nene is upset at Star Jones as she feels Star is manipulative aka playing the game, something the Nene clearly doesn’t know how to do.

The task is to produce a live hair show using Biosilk and Chi products, with the winning project manager getting $40,000 for their charity of choice. Donald Trump wants to know who will be PM for the women’s team and Nene immediately volunteers. Okay, all is well. Not! Almost immediately, the Nene loses her cool as she reveals the only reason she’s PM is because Star told her to be. Evidently, she has to do whatever Star says, and even more interesting, asking someone to be a PM in the game of the Apprentice equals fighting words!

Nene Leakes vs Star Jones take 10.

Following Nene’s latest shameful display on Celebrity Apprentice during which she verbally attacked La Toya Jackson for no good reason at all, Star is now speaking out against the Nene once again.

In a new interview with Popeater, Star tells the site “you never get involved in a pig fight,” when asked about Nene. “If you do, three things happen: you get dirty, you get tired, and only the pig has fun. It diminishes me to talk about her. I have so many other things going on in my life.”

And when it comes to her upcoming fight with Nene on the show, Star reveals she had to restrain herself from really going off. “In my heart, I think ‘pray, don’t act crazy, your grandmother is watching, your sorority sisters are watching, you were raised better than this,’” states Star.

Star, who recently released her book Satan’s Sisters, then takes the ultimate swipe at the Nene, referencing her past as a stripper. “I know there are people that value my opinion,” says Star about wanting to set a good example. “Plus, I’m not 20 minutes off the pole.” Ouch!

In other Nene news, RadarOnline is reporting she badly wants her own show. Apparently, Nene wants her own spin-off show a la Bethenny Frankel, or a talk show a la Oprah Winfrey.

“Nene is actively shopping herself around and she wants her own chat show and if that does not happen she would like her own reality show instead,” says a source. “She was encouraged when she did some slots with local television stations in Atlanta and she thinks that she has what it takes to be the next Oprah or Wendy Williams.”

The Nene has reportedly had talks with Bravo and VH-1 about getting her own show though a recent report states she and her Real Housewives of Atlanta costars have signed on to return for another season.

TELL US – THOUGHTS ON STAR’S COMMENTS & NENE WANTING HER OWN SHOW? WOULD YOU WATCH A NENE SHOW?

With Lisa Rinna out of the picture, the Celebrity Apprentice battle is now back to Nene Leakes vs Star Jones… or is it?

According to RadarOnline, Nene and Star are apparently trying to call a truce after coming to blows on the NBC show (on a yet to be aired episode), and slamming each other publicly in recent weeks. Example, Star tweeted a while back, “My neck does not turn when I argue a point & I didn’t spin around a pole to earn what I have. Water seeks its own level…#NotOnMine.” While Miss Nene made it clear she “wouldn’t spit on Star if she was on fire.”

A source tells Radar the ladies are now trying to reel it back in fearing the feud has gotten out of hand, Geez you think? “Both NeNe and Star are trying to get along better off set – it was really only when the show started taping that their competitiveness kicked-in,” reveals the source. “NeNe felt slighted by Star who she thought was not showing her enough respect – while Star believed that NeNe was all show and no substance.”

The source adds, “They are both head strong women and NeNe believed Star was trying to boss the other contestants around and on top of that they were feuding over hair, wardrobe and make-up too.”

The two are reportedly “trying to be more accepting of their differences” now. Though we’re not quite sure how accurate this story is as Nene has been recently hanging out with Al Reynolds aka Star’s ex-husband. In fact, Al tweeted a photo this week of himself hanging out with the Nene and Basketball Wives’ Jennifer Williams. That pic is below.

On tonight’s all new episode of Celebrity Apprentice titled “Unhappy Campers,” the celebrities use two RVs to organize a recreation experience in the core of the Big Apple. It’s a bumpy ride, however, when one project manager falls victim to a power grab and the other team questions a leader’s mental competence.

TELL US – WHO’S WORSE? NENE OR STAR? THOUGHTS ON TONIGHT’S CELEBRITY APPRENTICE?

Celebrity Apprentice returns tonight for its fourth season with what is being called the most dramatic cast to date.

While the show boasts 16 “celebrities” this season, Mr. Donald Trump can thank one particular castmember in general who seems to be bringing most of the drama based on the show’s previews.

Bravo housewife Nene Leakes, known for running her mouth speaking her mind on the Real Housewives of Atlanta, is taking her drama schtick to the NBC network, with Star Jones playing the role of Kim Zolciak.

Nene has spent the past couple of weeks slamming Star in the press, you know, calling her “special” and stating she “wouldn’t spit on Star if she was on fire.” Star on the other hand has appeared to take the high road in the feud, stating in a recent interview that she did not want to contribute to the stereotype of the “bombastic black woman.”

Nene however sees things differently. “I’m not surprised that Star used the ‘black women need to get along. Oh, she’s just being a black woman being mad or yelling or whatever,’” Nene tells Zap2It in a recent interview. “She has no fault in this. So, let’s just say that. You can not argue by yourself.” Nene goes on to refer to Star as “phony,” adding, “I’m like this, if you are a b***h, own it. Be a b***h 24 hours, own that. Be that.”

So what is Nene’s strategy on Celebrity Apprentice you ask? “Going into ‘Celebrity Apprentice,’ I didn’t have any strategies,” admits Nene. “I was a little scared going there. I saw Donald and I thought that he was scary. You know, mean-mugging you and not really smiling. So, I was really scared of that. I just went in, thinking to myself that I’m just here to fight for my charity and I don’t want to be voted off first. That’s all I thought.”

Moving on to tonight’s season premiere — the “sixteen celebrities engage in business-themed battles when Donald Trump’s competition series begins its 11th season. In the opener, the stars must manage a New York City pizzeria.” The celebrities include La Toya Jackson, Lisa Rinna, Richard Hatch, Marlee Matlin, Dionne Warwick, Gary Busey, David Cassidy, Lil Jon, Meat Loaf and Mark McGrath.
