On last night’s Jersey Shore, there was a guido/gorilla break up of juicehead proportions. Kuckas were flashed, tears were shed, screams were heard ’round Italia. It was pretty epic.
We rejoin the meatballs post-wreck. If Snooki thinks that this is the worst thing to happen to her while she’s in Italy, she needs only to wait a few days! Snooki gets a breathalyzer, and because she doesn’t have her license, she and Deena are being carted off by the Italian police. The guys arrive with her license just in time to see the house car being towed. The boys spend two hours in the waiting room at the station before they are able to free the meatballs.
Once home, Snooki calls Jionni to tell him of her recent escapades. Jionni tells her that Roger can’t come any more because he has to work. Snooki relays the news to JWoww, and she calls Roger very upset. It seems Roger’s leave from work has been denied. I think there has to be more to it, but I want to like the Roger I met at the shore.

Jersey Shore in all its trashy glory is returning; so hold onto your pouf and get ready to move to Florence, Italy for the Season 4 Premiere!
So what can you expect from this season’s Italian adventure? According to Executive Producer, SallyAnn Salsano: “The dynamic is supercrazy and explosive and yet more caring.” SallyAnn also relays being thousands of miles away from real friends and family, the cast had to rely on each other for support instead of bickering constantly!
While one might expect the Guidos and Guidettes to take to Italy like ducks to water, apparently the cast members had a difficult time adjusting to the lack of available facilities, i.e. GTL: We rarely made it to the gym,” says Vinny. “That’s unheard of for us. But it’s not really a big thing there. And these little weird streets that were built in the 1000s… going to the laundromat, you have to haul your luggage through friggin’ Italian villages. That made us stop doing certain things in our routine.”
The Guidettes also had some difficulty with Italian architecture, as apparently stripper shoes are not compatible with cobblestones, explains Sammi: The worst thing was the cobblestone roads and walking in heels. I had to buy a lot of flats, which I would probably never wear in Jersey.”
Despite the difficult surroundings, the cast still made sure to bring the drama to the max! And while no one is revealing the biggest conflict – apparently the Guidos were the source of most of the conflicts, without Angelina there to annoy JWoww, who reveals: “They were doing the catfighting.” Pauly D concurs: “You’ll be surprised to see the drama that sparks this year.”
There was one routine they didn’t have to give up, besides fighting: partying! “The guys, we went hard in Italy. There were a lot of entertaining nights,” relays Ronnie.
“Jersey girls still found us,” says Pauly D. And lucky for them “American college students are far easier to get home at night than Italian girls,” says Salsano. Well, she has a job I certainly don’t envy!
In other Jersey Shore news, it appears filming for Season 5, the last and final season, has already wrapped! Wow – these Guids move fast in more ways than one! To celebrate the end of an era, Snooki got her nose pierced! A picture of the pierced Snooki is below!
The cast also bid farewell to the very brave Shore Store, which was ballsy enough to employ them during their time on the Jersey Shore. After bidding farewell, The Guidettes decided to hang out on the roof one final time. I wonder what they’ll all be up to next?
Jersey Shore premieres Thursday, 8/4 at 10/9c on MTV. A preview of the upcoming season is below!
Jersey Shore star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi will have to look for another way to ring in the New Year now that she has been banned from the Times Square area on Dec. 31.
According to the NY Post, MTV concocted a plan to drop Snooki in a hamster- toy-like ball in Times Square Friday night. MTV however found themselves in trouble once the Times Square officials found out what the network was planning. The officials told MTV it didn’t have permission to do a Snooki ball drop from the roof of its studios.
“The request to have her in a separate ball on a setback roof came too late and was too impractical to fit into our outdoor events,” a spokesman for the event organizers said yesterday.
Meanwhile, an insider tells Popeater, “At midnight, the crowd and the media will be watching Mayor Bloomberg, Dick Clark and the official ball drop, not a cast member of the ‘Jersey Shore.’” Ouch.
TMZ is also reporting that the Snooki ball drop will still be happening, but instead in Jersey Shore. The ball, pictured below, has a giant lit Snooki sign on it.
Oh yeah, the new season of the Jersey Shore premieres Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 10/9c on MTV.

And for the first time on Monday night, MTV aired a 30 second trailer to promote the third season. In the preview clip, posted below, Vinny is shown engaging in a four-way kiss, the new cast member Deena Nicole Cortese is shown getting down and dirty, and it seems Jwoww and Sammi get into yet another physical fight.
Also shown is Snooki‘s now infamous drunken fiasco that ended in her being arrested. Based on the preview clip, the formula of drinking, fighting and fist pumping remains in full effect. Should be a hit! The last season of the show brought MTV it’s best ratings in a very long while. The show averaged over 5 million viewers per episode.
Season 3 premieres on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 10/9c on MTV.
In other Shore news, TMZ is reporting that cast member Jenni Farley aka JWowwis being sued by her ex-boyfriend Thomas Lippolis, who has been featured on both seasons of the show.
Tom is alleging he served as JWoww’s business manager, helping her sign deals with MTV, nightclubs, a tanning lotion company and even a plastic surgeon. In court documents, Tom claims he was the one who negotiated her Jersey Shore deal of $17,500 per episode plus a $75k bonus “dependant on ratings at the end of the season.”
According to Tom, JWoww stiffed him and he now wants $350,000 to make things right. Sources close to JWoww however deny Tom’s claims, stating he did not negotiate her tanning or MTV contract and he was paid for the appearances he booked.
JWoww also fired off a letter to her ex a few weeks ago requesting he return the nude photos of her in his possession. The letter read, “It has come to [Jwoww's] attention that you may be in possession of certain photos of her that may be derogatory to her image and in violation of her contract with MTV.”
And the photo above is of the Jersey Shore cast with Barbara Walters as they earned a spot onBarbara Walters’annual list of the “10 Most Fascinating People.” The cast members gave Barbara a lesson in GTL — gym-tan-laundry — grenades,” and smooshing.”

Jersey Shore’s breakout star Nicole Polizzi aka Snooki, got a verbal lashing from a New Jersey Judge during her court appearance yesterday.
This all stems from Snooki’s July 30 arrest for public intoxication. According to UsWeekly, the charges were later changed to “creating a public nuisance, disorderly conduct and annoying beach-goers.”
“You seem to be acting like a Lindsay Lohanwannabe in this matter, going through life rude, profane, obnoxious and self-indulgent,” Judge Damien Murray told Snooki following her sentence of two days of community service and fines totaling $533.
The Judge didn’t end there, also questioning whether Snooki’s drunken antics was all for show. Judge Murray told Snooki that if it was all for TV, she needed to decide if “it was worth trading your dignity for a paycheck.”
Snooki appeared remorseful for her behavior as she said she was “very embarrassed” when she addressed the court. She later tweeted “Ah never again! So scary…thank you judge for understanding, I’m very thankful for that! Whew…now I can breath!”
A new episode of Jersey Shore airs tonight during which Sammi will likely utter the words “I’m done” a minimum of 10 times before jumping back into bed with Ronnie. Photos of Snooki during her court appearance below -
TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON WHAT THE JUDGE’S COMMENTS? PLUS TONIGHT’S EPISODE OF THE JERSEY SHORE?
It seems drama always seems to follow Snooki wherever she goes. The latest is now that the break out star of Jersey Shorewas involved in a bar fight over the weekend and got a drink thrown at her.
According to RadarOnline, the newly single MTV reality star, 22, was doing shots with her co-star Jenni “JWOWW” Farley, 23, at Ocean’s 10 bar in Miami this past Saturday when a man approached her.
“She was in a good mood, but this particular guy was obviously interested and she wasn’t,” said a witness to Radar. “She told him, ‘Don’t f— with me’ so he snatched her drink and walked off.”
“I guess he provoked her by wanting an apology and she flipped out,” the witness continued. Snooki then reached for food on her table and threw it at the guy before slapping him on his shoulder and his face, and tossing a plastic cup at him.
In response, the unidentified man reached for his own drink and drenched Snooki, much to her anger. Security ended up throwing him out.
The Jersey Shore cast continues to film its second season in Miami. It is set to debut July 29th on MTV.
MTV is once again stirring up controversy with the debut of their new show – Jersey Shore. The show, which follows a group of 20 something year old Italians as they live and work on the Garden State’s shoreline, has been criticized by some Italian American groups as being offensive and reinforcing stereotypes of Italian-Americans.
UNICONational — the “Largest Italian American Service Organization in the USA” — claims they “can’t keep up with the volume of calls” from “outraged” Italian Americans. They added that it should be pulled from the air. The backlash doesn’t end there, as advertisers – Domino’s and American Family Insurance have requested that their ads be pulled from the show.
MTVhowever continues to stand by the show. “We understand that this show is not intended for every audience and depicts just one aspect of youth culture,” MTV’s spokesman told Fox News on Tuesday. “Our intention was never to stereotype, discriminate or offend.”
The cast of Jersey Shore can be seen continuously referring to themselves as “Guidos” and “Guidettes” on the show. Both terms have long been found to be offensive to Italians.
One of the cast members, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, however defends the use of the term ‘Guido.’ “The older generation doesn’t understand. These days in New York and New Jersey a ‘guido’ is a good-looking Italian male that likes to have fun and a ‘guidette’ is a good-looking Italian girl,” Mike tells EW.com.
I actually saw the premier episode of this show and was a bit surprised to see the term “Guido,” be used so frequently by the cast. Always assumed the term was offensive. Other than that, the show pretty much fell in line with all the other MTV reality shows, such as the Real World. It was pretty much the same formula – follow a group of 20 something year olds as they get drunk, and make complete asses of themselves on national television. It’s likely the show is here to stay as it premiered to rather good ratings, the premier episode was seem by a total of 1.4 million viewers.
