deitrick preachers

Well, we're back for round two of Preachers of L.A.! Clarence McClendon was too busy counting money Scrooge McDuck-style with his butler to make much of an appearance, while Noel Jones was all about family and females…or one female in particular. Ron Gibson took it upon himself to provide premarital counseling to Deitrick Haddon and his fiance, but we all know Deitrick doesn't like being told what to do. Thank God for Jay Haizlip for having a story that isn't just superficial and putting aside his bravado to reach out to someone who many would shun. As for Wayne Chaney, has he already given up on this gig?

After last week's explosion in the Man Cave between Deitrick and Clarence over respect, bedazzled jeans, whether a Ferrari trumps a Porsche, and poor people, Deitrick is talking to fiance Dominique about how to rectify the situation. The pair is in the studio, and Deitrick feels that Clarence didn't like being challenged. Dominique hopes that Deitrick can swallow his pride and make amends. Meanwhile, Clarence arrives at Noel's home to share his take on the events. Clarence wonders why Deitrick thinks it is alright to tell him how to run his ministry. Noel understands completely…an entourage isn't a bad thing. Sidebar, who was Dwayne Wayne's best friend on A Different World? Can we be totally sure he didn't leave acting to become an evangelical pastor named Clarence? #IMDB

Last night was the premiere of Oxygen's Preachers of L.A.  To be honest, I am not really sure what to think. One guy looks like Billy Dee Williams and used to fancy the angel dust. I swear another one of the ministers is twins with D.J. Drew from Love & Hip Hop. They all drive ridiculously expensive luxury sports cars, and they appear to have more money than God.  Pun clearly intended.

I am extremely intrigued by the entire premise of the show.  It's likely going to be very controversial, and I apologize in advance if I offend anyone with my attempts to recap–and snark–on a show about men of the cloth.

We are first introduced to Bishop Dietrick Haddon.  He describes himself as "a preacher, a pastor, a gospel entertainer, and a Grammy nominee."  Impressive! He was called to minister at a young age, and he preached his first sermon at age eleven.

Dietrick married young and went through a contentious divorce. In the midst of the dramatic split, Dietrick relocated from Detroit to Los Angeles where he met Dominique. Soon after they started dating, Dominique became pregnant. Not yet divorced and fathering a child out of wedlock, Dietrick believed he had two strikes against him.  Now engaged to Dominique, he is working on making his choir an international success.

Oxygen is debuting a positive new reality show called Preachers Of L.A.

The new series, which premieres October 9th, will follow six world-renowned and inspirational mega-pastors from Southern California. The "candid and revealing" show will showcase their different styles of preaching as well as giving viewers a glimpse of their personal lives.

From the press release: "While 'Preachers of L.A.' documents these pastors’ lifestyles, the series also focuses on the daily struggles and triumphs they face as men, husbands, fathers, brothers and friends."

In addition to featuring the pastors themselves, the show will also demonstrate the strong relationships of each of these men and explore their family lives.

Produced by Lemuel Plummer (executive producer of “Vindicated” and producer of “The Sheards”) and Holly Carter (executive producer of “106 & Gospel” and “The Sheards"), both of whom are "pastor's kids" themselves, they promise engaging and compelling stories that need to be told!

Meet the cast and see a preview below!

The Helping Hand Of Los Angeles Annual Mother's Day Luncheon

Reality TV stars Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott are in hot water!

Three television producers, Charles W. Malcolm, Jake P. Hall, and Denny O'Neil Jr., have filed a lawsuit with the Los Angeles Superior Court against Tori and Dean's Life in a Bowl Productions, Oxygen Media, and two other production companies.

They're asking for $60 million for theft of their idea, unfair business practices, and more. Apparently, Tori and Dean's sTORIbook Weddings is "uncannily similar" to a show they previously pitched to Oxygen, titled Wedding Rescue

It’s time for the most intellectually stimulating show on television, Bad Girls Club! First, I want to say that the editing on this show is so annoying, all kinds of things are shown out-of-order. Do the editors think I can’t notice, especially when they are either in pajamas or in full makeup and club gear?

We open last night with Erica trying to leave the house alone to go to the mall. She’s over the twins and throws a fit when they try to crash her solo shopping trip. And who can blame her, if those two were driving me to the emergency room, I would wait for an ambulance to take me instead, that’s how horrible and whiny they are.

Bad Girls Club Season 7Tonight, Bad Girls Club: New Orleans officially comes to an end with the airing of the reunion part II!

More drama tonight as Part I of the Bad Girls Club: New Orleans reunion special airs on Oxygen!

Gossip guru Perez Hilton returns as host and quickly gets down to the business of rehashing the Bad Girls’ old drama. It’s the first time all of the housemates have seen each other since leaving New Orleans and the tension is palpable.

Judi brings her famous voodoo doll to the stage, Cheyenne defends her untidiness and Tasha resiliently stands by her self-proclaimed “classiness.” Perez of course chimes in on the drama offering his two cents on his least favorite housemate.

On the season finale last week, Shelly vowed to get revenge against Stasi who gave her a well deserved butt whooping for destroying her contact lenses, before being kicked off the show! In the preview clip (below), Shelly and Stasi get into it again and things quickly turn physical! Will Shelly give Stasi a taste of her own medicine or will she get yet another beatdown from Stasi? The preview clip is below! What the heck is Stasi wearing?

The Reunion Part I airs tonight on Oxygen (9/8c).

TELL US – THOUGHTS ON THE PREVIEW & TONIGHT’S REUNION?

Bad Girls Club New Orleans

Tonight marks the ending of Bad Girls Club New Orleans and in usual BGC fashion, the ladies are going out with a bang!

Things reach a boiling point when Nastasia Townsend finally decides to get some revenge against Shelly Hickman for destroying her very special/custom made contact lenses!

On tonight’s dramatic finale: The girls arrive home from the club, and Nastasia heads upstairs to prepare for a fight, warning Judi to protect her stuff. Nastasia approaches Shelly and Angelic and Angelic asks Nastasia why she has sneakers on. Nastasia asks both of them who messed with her contacts but they deny their involvement again. Nastasia gives an ultimatum—either defend yourself in the next five seconds or take an ass whooping. BAM! Nastasia throws a drink in Shelly’s face and starts punching.

A video preview is below! The finale episode airs on Oxygen at 9/8c.

Moving on to this season of BGC, which let’s face it wasn’t the best, but it was still entertaining nonetheless. Early on, Stasi was my favorite but in the end, she became a bully. While I can understand her need in wanting to get out the ever annoying Tasha, I wasn’t a fan of the way she turned on Judi, who is pretty much equivalent to a harmless puppy. It just seemed like she was picking on someone much much weaker when she decided to boot Judi, who considered her a sister, out the house.

Shelly was not likable and was quite weak as she always needed backup and pretty much spent the entire season picking on Judi. Priscilla was okay, while newbie Cheyenne was a non factor this season. Angelic was tolerable, and I would have to say Tiara was without a doubt my favorite this season. When you think about it, she did not change in the house and stayed true to her character the entire season. Not only was she funny, but I loved the way she stood up for Judi towards the end, realizing the others — Stasi included — were indeed picking on her. Tiara also held her own the entire season without resorting to bully tactics.

So the question is…
