This news follows the report that Pauly D will begin filming his own spinoff show for the MTV network any day now.

TELL US – DO YOU THINK THE JERSEY SHORE SPINOFFS WILL BE A SUCCESS? WHAT WERE YOUR THOUGHTS ON LAST NIGHT’S EPISODE?
A not so shocking new report by RadarOnline reveals that Jersey Shore’s break out star, Snooki, was hospitalized for suspected alcohol poisoning.
According to Radar, the scary near death incident occurred back in May while the cast was still filming the second season of the hit show in Miami.
A source who was on the set at the time tells Radar the 4’9″ reality star “was so drunk that she had to be carried out of the nightclub ‘Dream’ by the show’s producers.” Snooki was reportedly rushed to a local Miami hospital where she was treated for the suspected alcohol poisoning.
Radar reports the show’s producers decided to leave the incident out of last week’s episode, as it actually occurred the night Jwoww’s boyfriend Tom Lippolis came to visit. This was the same night Snooki was shown playing with the couple’s feet before eventually going into Vinny‘s bed.
While MTV failed to comment on the story, the source adds that “Snooki was out of commission for about two days and was left in pain after undergoing the hospital treatment.”
In other Jersey Shore news, Radar is also reporting that DJPauly Dis the first cast member to get his own solo spin-off show! The show, which will air on MTV, will reportedly follow the DJ as he travels the country and Canada spinning tunes.
“They have already chosen a name and of course it will be deejay-related,” a source tells Radar, adding that the show will begin filming next month.
The fellas of Jersey Shore get unguidofied in the latest issue of GQ.
Since the Jersey Shore guys take a lot of pride in their GTL rituals aka Gym Tan Laundry, the folks at GQ decided to address the gym “situation” by providing them with some simplified sportswear.
Above is a after shot following the makeover for Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio, Mike “the Situation” Sorrentino,Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, and Vinny Guadagnino. The guys also did a Q & A with GQ, excerpts below –
GQ: What about using personal trainers? Yes or no? Vinny: I used to be a trainer, and 90 percent of the people who use trainers are women and old people. But it can be good—I used to train other trainers sometimes. DJ Pauly D: Sometimes I look at the trainers at the gym, and I look better than them. I’m not gonna take advice from somebody who doesn’t look better than me, bro. Mike, I don’t really have a six-pack. Should I be crying in my beer about it? The Situation: Nah. Be confident in what you got.
GQ: What’s the best body-related compliment you’ve gotten from a girl? Vinny: I’m not that big next to these guys, but— Ronnie: It’s more about the mind-body connection with Vinny. The Situation: It’s more about the pushin’.
The before shot and more makeover photos of the guys below!
The fans of Jersey Shorecan now breathe a huge sigh of relief as America’s favorite fist pumpers will be returning for a third season of the hit show!
News and reports of a strike hit the web this week as TMZ reported the entire cast refused to film home scenes for the third season because they wanted a raise from MTV. The cast wanted $30,000 per episode, a 200% raise from the $10,000 per episode they earned for the 2nd season.
It seems MTV is very confident in this cast because the 2nd season has yet to air! It is however set to debut on July 29. No word yet on how much the cast will actually receive from MTV. TMZ did report some of the more popular cast members aka Snooki, The Situation, will get more money than their peers. Angelina will not be back for season 3.
In other Shore news, Snookicovers this month’s issue of Steppin’ Out magazine, and dishes on her castmates and the downfalls of fame.
“Myself, Pauly, Vinny and Jenny [J-Woww], we’ve all stayed the same,” she says in the new issue of Steppin’ Out magazine. “We’re the closet friends in the house. I trust them with my life…It hasn’t gotten to our heads.”
Snooki, 22, says she realizes she and The Situation are more popular than their co-stars. “I know the others want the same opportunities that Mike and I get, but we don’t control those things,” she says. “The media isn’t asking for the others so they can’t really be mad at me.”
After acknowledging DJPauly D‘s rising stature as a DJ andJenni “Jwoww” Farley‘s fashion line, Snooki adds, “I can understand why the others might be jealous. They aren’t doing anything, but they should still be happy for me.”
Snooki also gives her sob story touches on the pitfalls of fame. “I miss my old life,” she sighs. “I miss being able to be around my family and at home. I miss going out with my friends and going out to a bar. I can’t do that anymore. When I try to do that, I get attacked by the fans.”
They’re baaaaack! MTV has now released the trailer for the second season of Jersey Shore, and judging from the look of things, there will be no second season jinx!
In the 2 minute clip, we get to see The Situation, Pauly D, Ronnie and Vinny creeping on the girls in Miami Beach, while the ladies,Sammi, Snooki, JWoww and even Angelina can be seen getting into fights and arguments with one another.
So are Sammi and Ronnie together again? Will The Situation and Pauly D be able to avoid grenades this go around? Is Snooki still snookin for love? Will Angelina bring the drama once more?
All these questions will be answered when the show premieres Thursday, July 29 on MTV.
TMZ is confirming that a deal has finally been struck between the cast of Jersey Shore and MTV.
All the cast members are expected to return. According to TMZ, Vinny, Ronnie and JWoww accepted the $10,000 per episode offer. No word on if the other cast members will also be paid the same amount.
Though a deal has been agreed to in principle, lawyers for the cast are still trying to hammer out certain terms of the deal. Apparently, one of the main issues is how many paid club appearances the cast members will be able to do each week. Snooki, Pauly D and The Situation want the right to appear at as many as four clubs and other venues a week ..
As we reported earlier, some of the cast members are able to pull between $7,500 – $10,000 per club appearance.
UPDATE – A MTV Exec confirms the entire cast will be returning for a 2nd season and also reveals it will be filmed at a different location.
“Our audience has fallen in love with ‘Jersey Shore’ and its amazing cast who have really grown together as a family” said Tony DiSanto, President of Programming for MTV. “That bond gives the show its heart, and we’re thrilled to reunite these friends to bring fans more of what they love — laughs, love, drama and of course GTL.”
The Jersey Shore cast might be a lot of things but when it comes to their money, the cast is proving to be much smarter than most would give them credit for.
TMZ is reporting that the entire cast has rejected an offer from MTV to do a second season. Sources connected with the negotiation say MTV offered Snooki, Pauly D, “The Situation” and the others each a $10,000 signing bonus and promised to pay them $5,000 per episode to do a season two of the hit show.
The cast however rejected the offer and made it clear that they were negotiating “Friends” style … meaning everyone would get the same amount and it had to be a lot higher than MTV’s offer.
The sources reveal MTV came back and doubled the offer to $10,000 an episode. So far, the cast has yet to respond to the new offer.
Some of the cast members of The Hills are getting paid a whooping $100,000 per episode, which should give the Jersey Shore cast some leverage considering their ratings doubles that of the Hills. They averaged over 4.8 million viewers just last week.
An MTV spokesperson would not comment on the negotiations and MTV has yet to officially comment on a season two. TMZ also reports MTV has received thousands of tapes from wanna be Guidos and Guidettes wanting to be on the show.
As much as I like this cast, I’m not sure having them all back for a 2nd season would be a good idea. They have become too famous and I’m guessing the show will become too fake and scripted for a season 2, The Hills anyone? I think it would be better to do a Real World format, and bring back an entirely new cast for a 2nd season.
UPDATE – TMZ is also reporting that MTV has given the cast until the end of Monday (today) to accept the offer, or they will be replaced. This is allegedly a ploy by MTV to try to divide and conquer the cast. Apparently, the cast members who accept the offer will be on the 2nd season, and the ones who don’t will be replaced. We will be sure to keep you updated on this.
TELL US – SHOULD MTV BRING BACK THIS CAST FOR A 2ND SEASON OR CAST SOME NEW PEOPLE?
The finale of MTV’s hit show – Jersey Shore aired last night and many fans are wondering what is next for the cast.
UsWeekly caught up with the cast members who revealed their future plans. As we reported earlier, Snooki claims to be in talks to get her own reality or dating show. She even said she has an offer from VH1.
As for Jenni “J-Woww, she has received a nice offer to pose for playboy. “I got a really good offer from Playboy,” J-Woww said “But I’m going to hold off and see.”
DJ Pauly D is also considering stripping for Playgirl. “I’m just trying to get my head straight right now!” he told Us. (But after Snooki said she’d want to see that issue, Pauly D responded, “If she buys it, I’m gonna do it!”)
Mike “The Situation“ reveals he’s “got an offer to do something for primetime TV… like a sitcom of some sort. I think it may be a sketch comedy, or, like, the real deal. Something that’s really awesome… it’s a big thing!”
As for the show’s couple – Ronnie and Sammi – it seems they might really be done for good this time (they broke up during the reunion show when Ronnie saw some unseen footage of Sammi talking/flirting with The Situation.) TMZ is reporting Ronnie hosted a party last week and was photographed creeping with making out some random girls.
It will be interesting to see how MTV deals with doing a 2nd season, which is sure to come considering 4 million viewers tuned in last week. MTV is said to be considering bringing back this cast for season 2, or bringing in new people similar to the Real World formula.
