On last night’s episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta the husbands brought the catty as the wives instigated from afar. Kim had a wedding prequel in the form of her baby shower and Sheree started work on her new job building her dream house and I’m counting down the minutes until foreclosure.
Sheree arrives at the building site for Chateau Sheree to watch the demo of the original house built in 1975, practically before she was born. Really Sheree? Someone needs to check you, Boo! BTW: nice “workboots.” Poor Sheree tells us that overseeing the construction of her new home is so much work it’s like a another job – as if she needs one! Leaving all of us to wonder what exactly are Sheree’s other jobs? Being a Housewife? Divorce settlements? Sheree makes sure the contractor has her list of “necessities,” which include: a ballroom with skating rink, a DJ booth, a massage parlor and a library or liberry – even though she doesn’t read. Hopefully she can read the notices of foreclosure that I anticipate will be arriving shortly! Kidding, kidding… only sort of…

In a new interview, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia Baileytalks about how she ended up on Housewives, what reality stardom has been like and what to expect this season! Sadly, she doesn’t really give anything good away.
Eight months after moving to Atlanta for her relationship with then boyfriend, Peter Thomas, Cynthia learned that Bravo was casting for a new Housewife. “People I knew had mentioned I should be on the show, and I was eventually approached because my name kept coming up as a candidate. I took a meeting, which led to another meeting, which led to a phone call with Bravo and a screen test.”
Cynthia says watching herself on TV during her first season was “a little mortifying.” “There’s no book on how to be on a reality show,” she confesses. “You just have to go through it. Peter and I decided the best thing to do was to put it out there – to be real. On one hand, I’m glad we put it all out there. On the other hand, I feel like we gave too much.” Is she referring to the total financial implosion that happened days before the wedding her mother and sister tried to cancel moments before she walked down the aisle?
“I think people really related to our troubles last year with this economy. I got so many letters from viewers who were losing their jobs, losing their houses, losing their cars. They were glad to see that people on TV have problems, too. It was really real. I can’t fake that kind of pressure,” Cynthia explains of last season’s issues the couple faced after Peter was forced to close Uptown.
This season Cynthia promises that, although she remains friends with out of control out-spoken co-star NeNe Leakes, she is “more opinionated” and branching out to form friendships with other ladies. “Last season, NeNe was my friend on the show, but this season I integrated with more than just NeNe, and I’m much more vocal.” Uh-oh… that means trouble!
She also formed strong friendships on the ladies’ cast trip to Africa! “We took an amazing trip there, and it’s one of my favorite things we shot this season,” she expresses. “I felt like I really bonded with each of the girls individually on the trip. We were stuck together for ten days in a Third World country, and it brought us together.”
“Our show offers something different; we’re organic,” she says of what makes RHOA Bravo’s most popular Housewives series. “It is what it is with us. We’re more real, and you’re going to get great moments and major train wrecks with us.”
In other RHOA news, as you all know Kim Zolciak is engaged! She is finally showing off the glamorous rock fiancé Kroy Biermann designed especially for her! While it’s not as big as her ring from Big Poppa, the 10k ring is nothing to laugh at. It’s gorgeous! Kim revealed her sparkler to the world via TwitPic just in time for her expected 11/11/11 nuptials! A photo of Kim’s ring is below.
Well, I can’t wait! Real Housewives of Atlanta premiers on Bravo, Sunday, November 6 (9/10c).
THOUGHTS ON CYNTHIA’S INTERVIEW? DO YOU PREDICT TROUBLE BETWEEN HER AND NENE THIS SEASON? ARE YOU EXCITED FOR SEASON FOUR OF RHOA? WHAT DO YOU THINK OF KIM’S RING?
And in the new trailer released by the network, the ATL ladies are more dramatic than ever! In the season trailer below, we see Kim Zolciakdealing with her pregnancy and the arrival of her first son, Phaedra Parks works on opening up a funeral home while her hubby Apollo and Cynthia Bailey’s hubby Peter get into it. And speaking of Cynthia, her family still hates her husband Peter!
In the clip, Nene is also seen dating while husband Greggis not shown. But as it’s been reported, this appears to be a storyline solely for the show as the two have been photographed during filming — away from Bravo cameras — looking happy and cozy. But we’ll let you be the judge. The housewives also manage to take a break from all the drama to visit South Africa!
The RHOA season 4 trailer is below! The show returns Nov. 6 on Bravo at 10/9c.

According to the TalkingWithTami blog, which was on hand to snap photos at the event, The Bailey Agency offers an intense six-week course with Cynthia, exploring the many different facets of modeling such as etiquette, walking the catwalk, posing, photography, film production, make-up amongst other things.
If you recall, Peter, who was found not guilty this week of assaulting a former female employee, shut down his previous lounge/restaurant Uptown last year when it stopped doing well. No word yet on whether or not Cynthia also invested in this latest venture of Peter’s. And speaking of Cynthia, she recently opened up her own modeling agency called The Bailey Agency.
In other news, it’s now been weeks since Kim Zolciak gave birth to her baby boy Kroy Jagger and we have still yet to see photos of the little one. Many are now wondering why as Kim is not one to shy away from cameras, even selling releasing her sensual pregnancy photos to the tabloids.
Well it appears Kim is planning to wait a little bit before releasing her baby’s pics. “I’m going to go with a month or two. She’s figuring it out,” said her rep to the Wetpaint website when asked about the baby’s photos. The site adds that Kim has already sold the photo rights to an as-yet-unnamed magazine.

The gossip website MediaTakeOut broke the story offering no proof but the word of a source who told them Peter, husband of Cynthia Bailey, is currently going through a bench trial (a trial held before a judge sitting without a jury) for assaulting a former female employee named Tamela at his now closed Uptown Club.
While no major media outlets seem to have confirmed this news, Reality Tea did uncover two mugshots of Peter, both stemming from recent arrests for battery.
The first mugshot came from a 2008 arrest in which Peter was arrested for Simple Battery. He was released the same day after posting $1,000 bond. The second arrest came a year later on December 3, 2009 when he was once again arrested in Atlanta on two different charges – Simple Battery and Battery with visible harm. He was released the same day after posting $2,000 bond. It’s likely the later charge is the one he is on trial for.
The sources add that Peter will likely be convicted and locked up for a year. As of the moment, neither Peter or Cynthia have yet to respond to the story.
This newly uncovered arrest records might be one of the reasons Cynthia’s family was so against her wedding to Peter last year. If you recall, Cynthia’s mom and sister spent most of her wedding day crying and trying to talk her out of it.
TELL US – THOUGHTS?
UPDATE – Peter spoke to the Sister2Sister blog and acknowledged he was on trial on Monday but states he was found not guilty. He denies hitting his former female employee and states she was “acting up in his restaurant and throwing plates.” Peter states after asking her to leave, he returned about 30 minutes later and was accused of pushing her. Peter said she slipped and the former employees who testified on his behalf backed his story.
Following a very successful 3rd season, regaining its title as the highest rated Bravo housewives franchise, tonight marks the finale of the Real Housewives of Atlanta!
On the episode titled ‘The Bride and the Doom,’ season 3 closes with Cynthia’s wedding rapidly approaching, but jitters and dramas surround the big event. Elsewhere, Phaedra returns to work; Sheree’s acting ability is sorely tested during a movie audition; and Kandi approaches Kim about song-related finances.
According to a NY Post report that came out last July, days after the wedding, Cynthia Bailey’s BFF Nene Leakes supposedly held up the wedding for 45 minutes when she barged into Cynthia’s bridal suite and demanded her hair and makeup be done. The Post added the drama did not end there as Kim then got into an argument with boyfriend Kroy when she caught him checking out “a hot redhead.” It will be interesting to see if any of these stories make the finale episode tonight.
And finally, wedding photos of Cynthia and Peter Thomas are below. The super sized 1 hour 30 minute episode airs at 10/9c on Bravo.
Watch What Happens Live – On tonight’s show, Andy Cohen will throw a live baby shower for the pregnant Kim Zolciak. Joining Kim will be her baby daddy to be/NFL player Kroy Biermann.
A preview clip of tonight’s episode is below!

In two separate new interviews, Cynthia Bailey and hubby Peter Thomas are telling it all, discussing issues such as a prenup and their financial woes.
First up is Peter, who slams all of Cynthia’s Real Housewives of Atlantacostars in an interview with UpTown magazine. In the interview, Peter also discusses signing a prenup as well as Cynthia’s lost investment in his now closed restaurant. Excerpts from Peter’s interview is below -
ON THE MONEY-LENDING INCIDENT
As much as I appreciate what she’s done, it probably came across to everybody that she put up all this money to help me build my restaurant. No. Initially, she put up $10,000. Uptown [Restaurant and Lounge] cost several hundred thousand dollars—$10,000 couldn’t buy the silverware and the plates at Uptown.
SHE CAN’T TELL ME NO
If I need her to do something for me again, she better step up. That’s part of her duty as a wife. Because she’s never gonna call on me and I say no—never. It’s my duty as a husband to provide whatever support to [help] her go forward. The show that I’m on is called Atlanta Housewives, not Atlanta Husbands. I’m not getting paid to be on the show. But I have to do it to support my wife. So I just gotta bite my lip, swallow my spit, and call it a day.
IS CYNTHIA GETTING HER MONEY BACK?
If that’s the last thing I do before I die, I’ll make sure that she gets her money back.
IN CASE IT DOESN’T WORK OUT…
I do respect that what’s hers belongs to her. I have nothing to do with it. And what’s mine is mine. We have a prenup. But if I build something and she was by my side while I was building it, that’s definitely for us.
ON ANDY COHEN AND THE OTHER HOUSEWIVES I say anything I f—ing feel, because I don’t feel I need to answer to anybody but God. People are going on Andy Cohen’s show and being all careful—I don’t give a f-ck. If they ever put me on that sh–, I’m gonna say exactly how I feel… If they say, “What do you think about the other Housewives?” I’m gonna say, “I can’t stand Phaedra’s ass. I think Kim is crazy as f–k. Nene has a big-ass mouth, okay? And Sheree’s not cute! She thinks she’s cute, but she’s not cute.” And this is ON the record. The only one I like is Kandi, and she’s too soft. That’s why she got played with Kim. And that’s how I truly feel.”
Wowzers! Peter also reveals he has some new business endeavors in the works including opening a new bar called Bar One in March 2011, and starting “The Lifestyle Conference, which will take place Memorial Day weekend in Montego Bay.”
Cynthia also gave an interview to Black Voices during which she briefly touched on her financial woes with Peter.
BV: Wait. You still asked him whether he was going to give you the money back? CB: Yes! I just asked him yesterday. I don’t know when I am getting that money back, but he’s going to have to give me something.
BV:A lot of people think you should work out your financial challenges before tying the knot. Many people believe a relationship can’t last with something so major causing disagreements before a wedding. CB: When we started the process, our wedding wasn’t so expensive that we couldn’t do it. The more involved in the planning I was the more I wanted it. Who wants to go through tastings and menus and then go to the courthouse? I’ve never been married before. I just wanted it. It’s mine to want. We just had problems in the end.
