According to Access Atlanta, the judge just granted Angela's motion for continuance, which means the proceedings will be delayed for five months. Angela's reason behind filing the continuance is to give her time to secure new counsel, with the court documents noting that her original attorney had been "representing Stanton on a pro bono basis, always with the understanding that she would secure other counsel."
The saga of the one-hit wonder continues… Unfortunately.
In her attempt to get Kandi Burruss' 'Don't Be Tardy' lawsuit against her thrown out of court, Kim Zolciak is taking on Kandi's lawyerPhaedra Parks and asserts that Phaedra has failed to prove that Kandi has sufficient rights to the material in question. She filed a Motion To Dismiss suggesting that Kandi has no grounds to file a suit for material that she has no copyright for.
In paper's filed by Kim's legal counsel she attests that: “Nowhere in Plaintiffs’ Complaint is it asserted that Kandi Koated Entertainment, Inc. is an owner or an assignee of any copyright interest in the Composition or the Sound Recording”.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star of course believes otherwise. Kandi is not the sole party in the lawsuit so it is unclear if Kim believes none of the plaintiffs involved have rights to the copyright.
Well now that she has her new spinoff, Rich People Problems, to promote and an upcoming book, Secrets Of A Southern Belle, Phaedra is out of hiding and dishing on RHOA drama, her behavior last season, and a certain someone's upcoming wedding!
Phaedra shares that of course some of her colleagues reached out to her post-birth. "Kandi [Burruss] and Todd came to the hospital," Phaedra tells TooFab. "Cynthia [Bailey]has talked to me several times since giving birth. And Porsha [Stewart] sent a wonderful gift."
Phaedra Parks is about as refined as any Bravo housewife can be, but its her Southern one-liners, fancy hat collection, and "bless her heart" way of insulting someone with a compliment that make her a true belle. As any Southerner knows, there are certainly rules, tips, and tricks of the trade that make manners, mama, and magnolias a way of life. Lucky for y'all, Phaedra wants to share those secrets with her fans.
Forget the donkey booty, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star is now focused on all things etiquette, and she is ready to teach anyone who will listen the importance of tradition, place settings, and the perfectly made-up face. Smells like another Housewives book, doesn't it?
Kandi, who sympathizes with all of us in declaring the song a national embarrassment, wants it permanently removed from the airways. But Kim, whodoesn't exactly have a job (except makin' babies!), is fighting to keep it on iTunes claiming she has already "over-paid" Kandi for her services and that Kandi isn't even the real songwriter. We know that's a lie!
