Ahh, Real Housewives of New York…this week we say G’day to Jill (have you missed her? She missed you!), Sonja reveals the housewives’ pecking order to newbie Cindy, Kelly and Ramona call a truce (??), LuAnn makes it clear that shopping parties are not her glass of pinot cup of tea, and Alex finds her (slightly grating) voice when it comes to holding her own.
Jill returns to lunch with LuAnn, Kelly and Sonja, and the first thing out of Jill’s mouth is that she is done mouthing off about others. No. More. Gossip. From. Jill. And 5-4-3-2… “Oh, I want to be out of the gossip and the garbage, but sometimes I get sucked back in…” Kelly’s threat drunk text from Ramona resurfaces and the ladies learn Kelly is going to meet Ramona for lunch the following day. Sonja is concerned that Kelly isn’t quite ready to confront meet with Ramona, and thus begins the role-playing to prepare Kelly for the inevitable barrage of Rameddling. If Ramona ever gets the flu this season, I think Sonja could easily just grab a glass of pinot grigio, do Ramona better than Ramona does Ramona, and we viewers would be none the wiser.

This episode of Real Housewives of New York City was scattered, hard to follow, and all over the place – so the writing is reflective of how difficult it is to connect the plot points. The episode, which Bravo dubbed “Ramona’d” was all about Ramona Singer unleashing her Pinot Personality and letting her cray-cray take over, I call that Cramona. Crazy Ramona. We’ve seen it before from Mrs. Mario Singer – however not like this, but lets start out the recapping by focusing on another lady who is losing her marbles and a different one who is losing her teeth. Sonja Morgan and Cindy Barshop take it away!
Replacing Jill Zarin this season as Empress of the frienemies, Sonja agreed to trek all the long way downtown to TriBeCa and meet Cindy for some shopping and designer schmoozing at Vivienne Tam and then lunch at Cipriani. Unfortunately, when Sonja arrived Cindy had some news: after having a few too many Martinis at Ramona’s event the previous night, she devoured a bunch of pistachios and the veneers on her two front teeth fell off! A likely story if I’ve ever heard one –I personally think she took a drunken tumble after all those martinis. It happens to the best of us. The ladies proceed into the store where Cindy actually pulls out the broken front teeth, which she has brought with her in a Ziplock baggie along with an accompanying tube of Fixadent. While in Vivienne Tam Cindy, asks Sonja to help her put her teeth back in. Yuck. Sonja is understandably grossed out! Who wants to eat lunch after all that? Sonja still does, actually.

While Jill Zarin, star of the Real Housewives of NYC, continues to deny having had any plastic surgery procedures, it is starting to become more apparent that she has.
We were able to dig up the above before and after pic which clearly shows what appears to be a nose job. In fact, Miami Board Certified plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer of Balbody.com tells Reality Tea, “It appears that Jill Zarin has had a nose job or Rhinoplasty to narrow and lift the tip of her nose.” Dr. Salzhauer, who hasn’t treated Jill, adds that she “most likely has used dermal fillers such as Restylane or Juvederm to smooth out her “laugh lines” and give more volume to her cheeks.”
Others who aren’t buying what Jill, age 47, is selling are her costars. Ramona Singer tells Popeater, “If you see her in the photos, her face looks different. Personally I like her other look better.”
Ramona adds that their fellow housewife Sonja Morgan is also certain Jill has had numerous “injectables” put into her face. “It does make her face look too taut and not as natural,” Ramona says. “Jill overdid it. It’s not the best look. Too much injectables look as bad as a bad face-lift.”
Housewives husband Simon van Kempen also gives his opinion – “I certainly think it’s better to age gracefully than pull yourself so tight that you can no longer show facial expressions.”
As for Jill, she is sticking to her story telling Popeater “If I did, I would be the first to admit it.”
Moving on to tonight’s all new episode of the RHONYC titled “March Madness.” The housewives participate in a marriage-equality march over the Brooklyn Bridge, yet there’s drama with these mamas when tension heats up between Sonja and Alex. Elsewhere, an offensive remark delivered by Ramona spreads back to Cindy.
The episode airs tonight on Bravo at 10/9c. A preview clip is below.
Watch What Happens Live – The guests tonight are Sonja Morgan and David Arquette.

A day after it was reported Jill Zarin demanded a recount on a WWHL poll, Ramona Singer is now speaking out on pollgate.
See, both of the Real Housewives of New York City stars appeared on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live last Thursday during which the poll question asked if viewers were on Team Ramona or Team Jill. Ramona received 78% of the votes with Jill only receiving 22%. The NY Post then reported yesterday that Jill demanded a recount immediately following the show and even threatened to get her lawyers involved.
Even Ramona, who has known Jill for many many years, was shocked to see how low far her frenemy costar would go. “When we were walking the carpet for TV Land [on April 10], people mentioned it to me saying, ‘Did you know she demanded a recount?’” Ramona tells the HollywoodLife. “I said, ‘Are you kidding me? Why would she do that?’”
Ramona adds that she was also surprised to hear Jill solicited votes from her twitter fans during the live show. “And then I found out that she tweeted everybody to please vote for her,” says Ramona. “She’s tweeting all of her fan base to vote for her — and she still lost!” Ouch!
Ramona states, “I’m not so competitive and so anxious to win that I’m going to start tweeting while I’m on with Andy. But she did, which I had no clue about. I had no clue that she was so upset with the results that she demanded a recount.” Ramona then makes it clear Jill is the one who brings all her misfortune on herself. “Jill is her own worst enemy,” says Ramona. “She’s very competitive. She doesn’t know how to let things go.”
“Obviously she was the most disliked housewife last season because [of] the way she treated Bethenny Frankel,” continues Ramona. “And she’s trying to redeem herself this year. But then her first episode, she’s nasty to Alex behind her back and to me. So why are people going to vote her?”
Ramona finishes stating Jill “pretends she’s all nice, nice, but it’s all about Jillousy. She’s like a suicide bomber. She’ll self-destruct.”
Meanwhile, days after Andy Cohen admitted on the air that they messed up on the WWHL poll, many fans are now wondering how that could have happened? According to Andy, the final results gave Jill 41% of the votes, a big difference from the 28% stated on Thursday.
Unfortunately, Bravo failed to give a reason as to why the error occurred, simply promising it “won’t happen again.” However, a certain tweet by Rob Shuter of Popeater might shed some light on the issue.
“Saw #RHONY tonight and found out vote was changed after it was clear no one using sprint vote counted and voting was cut off after 14 mins,” tweeted Rob.
Interesting explanation though it still doesn’t add up as to why there would be such a major discrepancy in the final vote tallies. Something does seem odd and fishy about the whole thing, mostly how was Jill so certain the poll numbers were wrong? How could anyone be certain the poll results would go a certain way if they didn’t do something to ensure it would? Whatever the case, what is certain is it’s unlikely there was any funny business on Bravo’s part as a third party handles the polling results.
HollywoodLife also ran the same poll again yesterday with 81% of the votes going to Team Ramona, and only 18% going to Team Jill. Those results seem awfully similar to Bravo’s original results no? No word yet on whether or not Jill plans to audit those poll numbers as well. Our poll is also below to see how the fans really feel.
TELL US – THOUGHTS ON RAMONA’S COMMENTS ABOUT JILL? SOMETHING FISHY ABOUT THE POLL ISSUES?
It seems Jill Zarin has yet to find a hobby after all. According to a new report, the Real Housewives of New York City star channeled her inner Al Gore last week following her appearance on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live.
The NY Post is reporting Jill demanded a recount after a poll from the show had her losing to her costar Ramona Singer in a landslide. The question of the poll was whose side were viewers on when it came to the two ladies. Andy Cohen read the results at the end of the show with 78% of the votes going to Team Ramona, and the remaining 22% in favor of Team Jill.
Sources tell the Post Jill demanded a recount immediately following the show. The renewed Jill reportedly went as far as to tell Bravo she would get her lawyer to “audit” the polling numbers. Yikes.
Jill denies calling her lawyer but admits she was surprised to have received so little votes, you know, being that she’s so well liked by the fans and all. “They had a problem,” Jill tells the Post. “My initial reaction was surprise, based on my own fans and how they were telling me they supported me. That night, we said, ‘We don’t think these numbers are right.’ ” Wowzers.
Whatever the case, there was a recount as Andy admitted on Sunday night there was an error with the poll results. The final tally? Ramona still came out on top with 59% of the votes. No word yet on whether Jill would like another recount.
Oh yeah, Jill asked her followers on twitter to vote for her during the live show while Ramona didn’t.
In other Jill news, her face is making headlines today after she walked the red carpet this weekend for the annual TV Land Awards. After debuting what looks to be a new face, many media outlets are speculating she went under the knife. We put together the above before and after photo which you can click on to make bigger.
In a poll by PopEater, over 95% of those polled believe she went under the knife. Jill however denies such a thing tweeting earlier today, “How funny is this? 95% [of PopEater users] think I had surgery. Should I be flattered they think I look better? Ask Dr. Pat Wexler. She is my doctor.” We’ll let you be the judge with more photos of Jill below.

UPDATE: Board Certified plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Salzhauer of Balbody.com tells Reality Tea, “It appears that Jill Zarin has had a nose job or Rhinoplasty to narrow and lift the tip of her nose.” Dr. Salzhauer adds that Jill’s smooth forehead is most likely the result of Botox injections. “She most likely has used dermal fillers such as Restylane or Juvederm to smooth out her “laugh lines” and give more volume to her cheeks.”
On the season 4 premiere titled “Grin and Bare It,” Ramona hosts a rooftop cocktail party while elsewhere, tension continues to brew between Jill and Alex; and the ladies gear up to participate in a gay-equality march. Single mother and spa entrepreneur Cindy Barshop joins the cast. A preview clip is below.
Watch What Happens Live – The guests tonight will be Ramona Singer and Jill Zarin!
In other news, following a major slight fall from grace last season with her actions both on and off the show, Jill Zarin reveals the reason she decided to return for another season.
But first Jill states she felt she was ganged up on last year. “I was ganged up on by Alex, Bethenny and Ramona,” Jill tells the NYDailyNews. “It’s so last year and it’s so over that I don’t want to talk about it anymore. … But let me tell you, it’s hard to fight three against one. One on one is one thing. Three on one, not so even.”
So why did she return? “I asked my husband, Bobby, ‘What should I do?’ And he said, ‘Don’t leave,’ ” she says. “My family felt that I wasn’t portrayed accurately, that I needed to come back, to have another round at it. Then, if I want to leave, I leave with my head held high.” Aka ‘I’m going to spend this entire season pretending to be nice and trying to redeem my image.’
Meanwhile, the NYC ladies visited The View talk show this week during which both Jill and her BFF Kelly Bensimon tried to insinuate the show isn’t real, well at least last season, with Kelly also trying to convince us she isn’t really crazy.
First Jill insinuated Bethenny Frankel played up their fight for the cameras last season. “You wanna know what the truth is? The truth is I thought it was a wink-wink. We had a fight, I thought it was sort of drama for the show and that we would make up,” said Jill.
And when host Sherri Shepherd asked Kelly about being crazy and that whole Scary Island meltdown, Kelly denied being mentally unstable. “I didn’t fall apart. It’s hard to be portrayed as crazy and it’s hard to come back from that,” said Kelly. “Sorry you guys I didn’t fall apart. I know it’s hard for everyone to understand that … I make great television and Bethenny and I create better television. So, I mean, that’s what it is,” added Kelly as we try to figure out what planet these people are living on.
TELL US – THOUGHTS ON JILL & KELLY’S COMMENTS PLUS TONIGHT’S SEASON PREMIERE?
On the third episode this season titled “Business as Usual,” business is booming for Bethenny but not quite fast enough when it comes to the growth of Skinnygirl Margarita. When Bethenny realizes that liquor stores are unable to replenish their supply quick enough, she enlists Jason to help to figure out the problem. Bethenny then faces the consequences of her boundary issues with other important people in her life – namely her intern Max and her broken hearted baby nurse Gina – she realizes she must find balance in all of these relationships before things spiral out of control. A preview clip is below.
But back to Ramona’s comments, as she, similar to some fans of BEA, takes issue with the way Bethenny treats her in-laws on the show. “How could she not embrace her child’s grandparents?’’ Ramona asked. “That was shocking to me.’’
And finally, Bethenny is launching her own shapewear line. It is called Skinnygirl Shapewear and includes a collection of camis, tanks, half-slips, high-waisted briefs, and leggings, complete with sexy designs and lace detailing, aimed to conceal all the unwanted bulges in all the right places.
“The line ranges from tank tops in black or beige to my signature color, red, which is a confidence color, and a little daring, but not white because it can make anyone look bigger,” Bethenny tells WWD of the collection.
But unlike the Squeez shapewear line of Bethenny’s former BFF Jill Zarin (and no, we’re not certain which line came first), Bethenny reveals her collection offers more than just panty-smoothing pieces. She describes some of the items as “lazy lingerie” such as a sexy apron with a bra, which she states is “a fun item with a little skirt you might wear for Valentine’s Day to wake up … and fix your husband breakfast in.”
In an interview with the Miami Herald, the NYC Housewife shares her opinion on RHMIA’s Elsa Patton and Lea Black. According to Ramona, Lea is badly in need of a makeover.
“I thought she looked like she was going to a costume party,” Ramona stated about the House of Gaga reject attire Lea wore to Adriana‘s gallery opening. “She looked a little ridiculous.” Oh but Ramona had more to say. “Someone’s giving her bad fashion tips. I think she needs a makeover,” added Ramona about Lea’s crimes against fashion. “It just looks like she’s stuck in a bad era.” Ouch!
And what does Ramona think of the glamorous Elsa? “I freaked out. I didn’t know if she was a man or a woman at first,” said Ramona upon facing Elsa for the first time on television. “I didn’t know if she was like a drag queen, I swear.” Telling it like it is indeed.
In other MIA news, the Miami Herald reported last week that three of the housewives – Alexia Echevarria, Marysol Patton and Lea Black — share a six degrees of separation with Willy Falcon and Sal Magluta, dubbed “The Boys” during the real Miami Vice era. Both currently seat in prison as Falcon pleaded guilty to money laundering and got 20 years in prison, while Magluta was convicted in 2002, sentenced to 205 years and ordered to pay a fine of $63 million for laundering cocaine profits to defense attorneys, bribed jurors and Colombian hit men.
Alexia, 43, then Alexia Figueredo married a Magluta associate Pedro L. Rosello in 1992, the same year their son Pedro aka Peter was born in Hialeah. Rosello, who cooperated as a government witness, was ultimately convicted of cocaine trafficking, and served some time in prison. Alexia and Rosello were divorced by the end of 1995.
Meanwhile, Marysol, 44, was the girlfriend of a convicted, big-time cocaine distributor who also was a cooperating witness in the federal drug case.
As for the role of Lea, 56, she is married to famed attorney Roy Black, who was paid millions to represent Magluta. When Roy was asked about the connections between the Bravo show and the Willy-and-Sal case, he simply stated, “It’s so Miami, that’s for sure.”
