Last month Apollo Nida's attorney filed a "waiver of indictment", which basically says he's waiving his right to a trial and it's usually filed when a plea deal has been hammered out. From what we know, the waiver is filed shortly before an official plea is entered before the judge. And that seems to be what is going on here. The waiver documents were filed on April 24th and today it's reported that Apollo plead guilty to some of those initial charges. It looks like it's safe to say he's worked out an agreement but we don't know any further details until they're filed and available online – hopefully tonight or tomorrow.
Is it true? Has the day really come? Can I finally stop talking about the Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion? I mean, how many hours of this three-ring circus have we been subjected to? What was last night hour 475? I chugged a 5 Hour Energy drink vodka soda and settled in for two hours of she-said/she-said-you're dumb-annnnd now here comes the husbands! Oh and the husbands, they sure showed up. Or at least Apollo Nida did. He was gunning for Kenya Moore's title as Queen of the Krazies!
Of all the things that happened last night it was the deafening silence of Kenya in the wake of Phaedra Parks' atomic bomb of verbal destruction. At some point, Kenya, realizing she had not a friend in the eaves, gave up. She just resorted to the silent game, but it was because she was trying not to cry.
Kenya can match any of these broads with her outlandishness, wild accusations, and sheer commitment to getting the job done. NeNe Leakes is easy – she's all loud buffoonery and nebulous threats. Kandi Burruss is just gonna say her bit – loudly – and then get teary eyed, but nobody hates Kandi enough to truly come for her. Cynthia Bailey perpetually wears an expression that says, 'Please don't kick me – I'm already down!" there's no satisfaction in gunning for her. And Porsha Stewart, well, she just gets louder and wilder and self-destructs on a comical level. But Phaedra… Phaedra does not shake.
Even though your DVR claimed there was a two hour season finale of Real Housewives of Atlantatonight, it was really just an hour and thirty minutes long, topped off with an episode of Watch What Happens Live. Sneaky way to again claim RHOA's ratings as WWHL ratings, too? Anywhoo… Andy sits down one-on-one with Porsha Williams to chat about the reunion brawl with Kenya Moore and her abuse claims regarding Kordell Stewart and she calls Kenya out for lying about being the first black Miss USA winner.
Porsha says she's been in contact with Phaedra, Kandi and NeNe since everything went down, but she hasn't heard from Cynthia.
Andy wants to know what her cast mates had to say to her. "Phaedra was just really upset. These girls know me now at this point. I've been their friend for two years straight, so for them to see me act completely out of character and let Kenya win like that. That was the main thing, I was sorry that it had to reach that point, I was sorry that that was my reaction, but more than that I was sorry that I gave her the power to make me go and do something like that."
Tonight is the final episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta. And after being in the forefront of the bitchy drama all season, the husbands will take the stage to give their opinions on the mayhem!
Apollo Nida will also discuss the criminal allegations against him and, once again, face off against Kenya Moore regarding 'sext-gate'. And NeNe Leakes will get a chance to make amends with Peter Thomas – or will she? Likely not! Bloop! Plonk! Bloop!
NeNe will also get in an argument with Kandi Burruss over some of NeNe's comments about Mama Joyce.
Not to channel my inner Jerry Orbach (the Dirty Dancing one, not the Law and Order one…clearly I have both!), but when I'm wrong, I say I'm wrong. I honestly never thought that former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak would last three weeks withKroy Biermann. To me, their relationship screamed story line.
However, a few years, spin-off, and umpteen babies later, I do think the couple is genuinely happy and in love. I hate that I was such a cynic. Kim has been Kroy's biggest supporter on and off the field, and now she's gearing up for his latest NFL season.
This week's reality TV viewer numbers are in – and an impressive 2.206 million watched the Basketball Wives L.A. reunion, bringing its season average to 2.055 million. Sadly, only 861,000 fans bothered with the Southern Charmreunion, but we hope the season finale's 1.21 million and the season average of 943,000 is enough to get it renewed.
This afternoon Bravo shared a handful of great pictures of Kandi andTodd Tucker's big day. In the gallery you'll see a plethora of fun snaps, including several of Kandi's Real Housewives of Atlanta castmates like Cynthia Bailey, Phaedra Parks and more. In this pictures we also get a better look at Kandi's dress and their reception.
Everything may look happy and sweet and peaceful, but from the glimpse of the trailer, we know that's not the case! We're looking forward to watching it unfold!
Apollo Nida sat down with Sister2Sister magazine for their May issue and laid it all out there! Probably a little more than he should have, but that's what reality stars do, right? Apollo dished on everything from his past and how he got started in a life of crime. He talks prison life, his marriage status with Phaedra Parks, and the new criminal complaint against him.
We've grabbed some of the highlights, but we highly recommend picking up a copy of the magazine because it's an interesting read! It's six pages long and I tried to squeeze as much as I could in, but trust me – you want to read it in its entirety!
Apollo starts off talking about his mother OD'ing on heroin when he was just seven years old. He says she had it tough because she was a German woman shunned for being in a relationship with a black man. He met his father around age 20 but didn't have anything to do with that side of his family. "She was kind of pushed out. So she turned to the streets. And the streets will eat you up."
