Don’t get me wrong, most of that does amount to entertaining television, but it is all admittedly trivial stuff. The (lack of) seriousness of those story lines is all put in perspective given the news that Cynthia Bailey went through surgery to remove a tumor.
Real Housewives of Atlanta
The one person who was consistently bringing drama and good tea was Sheree Whitfield’s boo Tyrone Gilliams– and he was doing that all via collect call in a prison cell. He was bringing a lot more to the show than most of the full-time cast members, so I figured Sheree (and Tyrone by association) would definitely get asked back for Season 11. Apparently that might not be the case.
With so many great reality shows back with new episodes this week and others that are filming for the next season, it makes sense that a lot of reality TV stars are sharing behind-the-scenes photos.
New York Housewife Tinsley Mortimer finally cut her signature hair, so of course she shared a photo of getting all glammed up with her new look. Real Housewives of Potomac star Monique Samuels shared a photo of her hair and makeup team getting her ready to throw shade during some on-camera interviews this season. Orange County Housewife Shannon Beador also posted a photo of her glam squad in action. Southern Charm star Shep Rose shared a photo of he and Whitney Sudler-Smith in front of a green screen in between shooting some commentary on the current season.
In essence, Season 10 of Real Housewives of Atlanta was brought to you in part by Snapchat, or at least that’s what it should say somewhere in the credits of each episode. The video that Kim Zolciak’s daughter Brielle Biermann took of herself in the mirror at NeNe Leakes’ house, changed the course of the season.
Kim saved it in her archives and unleashed on NeNe, accusing her having a roach-infested home. NeNe fired back with accusation of racism aimed at both Kim and Brielle. Roachgate took over the season and that’s why I thought it was hysterical when NeNe and her husband Gregg Leakes dressed as an exterminator and roach for their Halloween costumes. I laughed, Kim’s girl Sheree Whitfield even laughed, but Kim did not find it funny. At all.
NeNe has no regrets and had no fears about what reaction she might generate. “My costume was my favorite, and it was so fitting, considering that it was all Kim wished everyone would believe!” NeNe scoffs. “Kim is a joke every time I see her. I’m never worried about a hater that stays sipping haterade!

The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast members are known for their superior shade throwing abilities, except for Cynthia Bailey, who is known for being the nice and normal one in the cast. Sure, she says some funny things once in a while, but she’s never the one live tweeters are mentioning the most or the subject of memes. Every Housewives show has that one relatable person to round out the cast and Cynthia is that person- plus the fierce fashion and variety of hair and makeup combinations.
That’s why it’s so surprising that Cynthia is actually the one who came up with the idea for NeNe Leakes and her husband Gregg Leakes to dress up as an exterminator and a roach for Halloween. After Kim Zolciak released a video of a bug in NeNe’s bathroom and accused her of having a roach-infested mansion. NeNe turned the scandal into a joke and ended up owning the situation, but it was actually Cynthia who helped her make such a clutch move.
I have no idea why, but for some reason the Real Housewives of Atlanta cast members felt it was necessary to compare Sheree Whitfield and Eva Marcille’s Cleopatra costumes during the Season 10 finale episode. In all honesty, it looked like they both put in an equal amount of effort.
The women pretended to like one costume over the other when they were just actually making their critiques based on which woman they were closer friends with. Kim Zolciak has not had one scene with Eva and she’s openly loyal to Sheree, so of course she preferred Sheree’s costume, but did she really say that Eva, a model, is “not pretty”? Really, Kim? Did she spend enough time talking about roachgate that she had to pretend that Eva was “not even a pretty f***ing Cleopatra”? What was the point of that?
Pretty much every Real Housewife describes her latest reunion taping as “epic.” Seriously, Google it and you’ll see that it is the go-to descriptor. Nevertheless, I can’t help believing that the word actually does apply to the Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 10 reunion. They all seem like they have some reality TV edition of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
