Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Casting

I’m sure it will come as no surprise to learn that Yolanda Foster Hadid‘s ego might be the real reason she left Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills

After much speculation that Bravo was desperate to repair Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills after last seasons’ toxicity and Yolanda was fired, today she confirmed her departure. Yolanda implied she made the decision not to return, however a production source claims Yolanda actually quit because Bravo only offered her a ‘Friend’ contract instead of being a full-time cast member.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills finale

With Season 7 contracts being signed, rumors are already swirling about next season’s cast. One thing is unquestionably certain – Bravo wants changes! It seems they might want more true friendship and fun, rather than the divisive “Munchausen show” and ManipulationGate, RHOBH became last season.

Oh no – say it ain’t so Yolanda Hadid is probably not be returning to Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills next season. I don’t know how I’ll recover from the heartbreak. Maybe I’ll just go instagram some sad-face selfies.

Unfortunately Kathryn Edwards, who I was slow to warm-up to, but eventually really liked, is reportedly not returning either.

Sydney Holland

Sydney Holland, the very recent ex of Viacom and CBS mogul Sumner Redstone, apparently wants to reinvent herself by becoming a cast member on Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills. Well – that’s one way to get out of your mega famous’ billionaire ex’s shadow! Move over Yolanda Foster there’s a new mega-accomplished gold digger in the 90210!

Sources say that Sydney officially pitched herself to Bravo producers by creating a “sizzle reel.” Oh dear… do we think Sydney’s reel featured her dining with Giggy at PUMP? Or possibly attended a Lyme IV drip with Yolanda? Or shopped Kaftans at Mumus By MeanieMcMessiniessToo? Or perhaps – oh, perhaps! – patting a puss in Erika Jayne‘s empowered panty chapel?!

(If any of this happened, I need to see all of it in the Secrets Revealed episode.)

According to multiple reports, Erika Jayne has joined the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Erika is a recording artist/club performer and is (reportedly) friends with David and Yolanda Foster.

Erika‘s coming into the show as a friend to Yolanda and David and she has already filmed her segment for the start of the show,” an insider shared with In Touch. “She has definitely signed on to the season as a full housewife.”

And the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills casting rumors keep on coming!  This morning it was splashed about on Page Six that Kyle Richards was out and her sister Kathy Hilton was in.  This is after the rumors of a few weeks ago that said once Kim Richards was out, Kathy was in.  Oh that Kathy!  Ready to take either sister’s place.  Not so fast, says Kyle!

We were trying to wrap our heads around a RHOBH without Kyle and Mauricio and just couldn’t imagine what kind of vibe it would have.  But it turns out we don’t have to worry about that..probably.  Access Hollywood caught up with Kyle at an event last night and she dished what she could on the casting for the upcoming season.

Lisa Rinna joins RHOBH

Season 5 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is getting really crowded.

Lisa Vanderpump, Yolanda Foster, and Kyle Richards are confirmed cast members, Kim Richards and Brandi Glanville have been seen filming and are assumed to be returning, and Camille Grammer, Adrienne Maloof, and Shiva Safaiare rumored participants.

That’s 7 1/2 already – I mean, Kim? Seriously? Let’s just give her a half.

Now rumor has it that Lisa Rinna has joined the cast as well. Reportedly, ABC has approached Lisa about The View, but she couldn’t resist Bravo‘s charm. Or something. Around this time last year Lisa stated that she wouldn’t ever join Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster leaving The Dorchester Hotel

It's probably no coincidence that the week Adrienne Maloof was fired from Real Housewives of Beverly HIlls, Penny Lancaster (wife of Rod Stewart and rumored new cast member) backed out on her opportunity to be a Housewife. After all, Adrienne is dating her step-son Sean Stewart!

Rod shared yesterday that his wife isn't interested in reality TV. "She was asked but she turned it down," Rod insists.

"She doesn't want to do that sort of thing," he told TMZ. "She's just happy being a mom."

Bravo is reportedly having difficulty finding high society ladies wiling to sully their reputation by appearing on the show. In order to bolster the cast to truly represent the BH caliber, they are cleaning house. Adrienne and Camille Grammer are not returning for season 4. Rumors are also swirling that Taylor Armstrong and Kim Richards will be MIA next season.

Following yesterday’s report that Taylor Armstrong will be “phased out” of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the reality trainwreck star is freaking out. Even worse, Taylor allegedly found out about Bravo’s plan to gradually remove her from the cast from reading the tabloids! Oops—that’s gotta sting!

Upon hearing the gossip, Taylor immediately got on the phone to Bravo producers for reassurance, only to be told that the rumor was kinda true! “Taylor called because she was certain that there was no way that she was going to be phased out,” a source close to the reality star reveals to RadarOnline. “However, when she spoke with the higher ups they didn’t deny that she would be featured on the show in a much more limited capacity with a much smaller role.”

The news is devastating to Taylor, who is under contract for another year and will not be eligible to secure any other TV deals until released! “Taylor now knows that her days on the show are numbered. She is extremely upset because she just signed a contract extension for season three, but she wasn’t made aware of Bravo’s plans for her. She absolutely freaked out because she counts on the show as her primary source of income and uses it as a platform to secure other endorsement deals.” Uh-oh!

Moving on, Adrienne Maloof and her family are again threatening to move their NBA team, the Saramento Kings. If you recall, last season Adrienne was shown attending what could possibly be the final game at the King’s Sacramento stadium, and was faced with protests from local residents. Adrienne announced that upon learning how much the team meant to the community they had decided not to relocate the team.

However, a year later, things have changed. According to the NY Times, the outdated arena remains a problem for the team owners, and the family is hinting that the team’s days in the city are numbered. Yesterday, the Maloof family hosted a press conference in which they detailed plans to relocate the team, because a soluble agreement with the city could not be reached.

Apparently, in October of last year, the family reached a “handshake deal” with Sacramento Mayor, Kevin Johnson, agreeing to financial terms for the new arena; but the deal is no longer sufficient. The Maloofs would like the deal renegotiated and they would like to see progress to substantiate the agreement, but the city is not prepared to make changes or agree to a proposed renovation of the exiting arena. Other areas of contention include the lease agreement for the new facility, naming rights, arena design, and responsibility of game-day expenses.

The Maloof family also objects to the city’s request for a financial contribution of an additional $3.2 million towards the project when they were already expected to shell-out $73M. The NBA was prepared to loan the family $67 M and give them an additional $7M for the construction with the city kicking in $255M. Sheesh—that’s one hell of an outrageously expensive basketball court! Maybe they can borrow the court at the local YMCA?

“If [Mayor Kevin Johnson] says he’s not negotiating, then he killed the deal,” Adrienne’s brother, George Maloof, said in a press conference yesterday. “It’s over.”

Since the deal was non-binding, the Maloofs have every right to back out and begin looking for a new location for the team as the move is apparently imminent.

THOUGHTS ON LATEST IN THE RHOBH CASTING DRAMA? DO YOU BELIEVE THE NEWS THAT TAYLOR WILL BE “PHASED OUT”? IS IT A MISTAKE FOR THE MALOOF’S TO MOVE THEIR NBA TEAM?
