Following a season of lackluster ratings, ridiculously transparent producer and editing manipulation, and a déjà vu storyline, Wendy challenged Andy about making changes to the formerly successful show.
Wendy straight up called out this season as "not the best." Andy agreed and admitted, "We need to make some adjustments." When Wendy suggested "new Housewives" and "no more Manzos" or Wakiles, Andy said, "alright, alright" but he seemed off-put and annoyed. I think he's also realizing this show is doomed without MAJOR shakeups!
Did Teresa Giudice get timelines and facts twisted this week in her blog?
This week in her blogTeresa tried to explain why she couldn't possibly be the one behind Penny knowing about whether Melissa Gorga went to visit her father in the hospital, because many other people knew about it due to filming and any one of those people could've told her.
Teresa wrote: “How would Penny know about the controversy of when Melissa did or didn't go visit my dad in the hospital? We had filmed about it in public, me asking Melissa. There were lots of people there that could have told her.”
Teresa Giudice is upset with Joe Gorga for the hurtful comments on the past few episodes of Real Housewives of New Jersey and she's setting him straight on a few things in her new blog. She's also confused and trying to figure out what sort of game Penny Karagiorgis and Melissa are playing.
Teresa says that Joe blasted her advice as terrible and he's got one amazing memory because he's recalling things from when he was only three years old? "Last week he said no one should "take advice" from me. That really hurt because I was good enough for Joey to take advice and help from when he was first starting his business. Then this week he tells some ridiculous story about how I acted when I was 5. Here's what's funny: he was 3 at the time. How long is he going to keep talking trash about his only sister? I wish he would stop, but it is taking a toll. You can only get hurt so much before you get numb. This week, when he was spewing garbage about me, I was numb. I don't know what that means, but that's how I feel now."
Caroline Manzo spent most of last night's episode over at the grand opening of her sons' new restaurant venture "Little Town New Jersey". The proud mom of three shared in her Bravo blog how thrilled she is that Albie andChris are following in their dad's footsteps.
Caroline shared: "The Little Town Grand Opening was awesome. I am so proud of my boys. They've got the restaurant business in their blood, and I loved that they value Al's opinion the way they do. Life is funny — they always said they never wanted to be in the food business and here they are, right smack in the middle of a food and beverage world. They work very hard, and as a parent, watching them make a name for themselves doing what they love to do is a wonderful, wonderful feeling."
I'm just gonna say it – I'm over this crap. Yep, I just called Real Housewives of New Jersey "crap" so nana-nana-boo-boo. Look I'm as mature as the castmembers now!
So last night was part one of the so-called "epic" season finale. It was pretty much rehashing of last season's season finale except there will be actual fist fighting. So they took last season and made it more trashy! Lovely, Bravo. Really just lovely.
Before all that, we were rendered temporarily deaf by Melissa Gorga attempting to sing. While I was holding my head and cringing, Bravo threw Penny Karagiorgis, her Wal-mart extensions ripped off from a Barbie Halloween costume, and Teresa Giudice shrieking at each other in my face.
It's a miracle I did not spontaneously combust right here on my non-made-of-marble sofa while drinking my non-fabellini alcoholic beverage. Maybe next week…
Melissa Gorga brought along an adorable sidekick while promoting her new book this weekend: daughter Antonia.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star was at Bookends book store in Ridgewood to sign copies of "Love, Italian Style" and pose for photos. Melissa and Antonia hammed it up together for the cameras, both inside the store and outside.
I'm sorry. I'm not buying it. No couple is that gooey all the time (thank goodness!). Of course, along with Melissa's "happy wife, happy life" mantra, both she and Joe claim to be the most in love couple and devoted parents. I'm not saying they aren't, but do they feel as if they have to constantly shove it down our throats? Yes, I guess they do.
Last night Melissa attended a book signing at Mendham Books in New Jersey and this morning she stopped by for a chat with Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford on 'Today'.
I perused Amazon to see the initial reactions to Melissa's book and so far it hasn't been positive. In Melissa's defense, many of the 1-star reviews left for her were by people who admittedly didn't read the book or only read the free excerpt from chapter 1, and some flat out said they just didn't like her on the show.
But on the other side of that coin, of the few 5-star reviews written, those users didn't have any history of leaving product reviews except for this glowing summary of how Melissa's book changed their life. So, that's a little suspect. But again, the same is true for some of those negative reviewers. The whole thing reads a little like a blog comment section – filled with both Melissa lovers and Melissa haters and the reviews are nearly all 1's and 5's, with no in-between.
