No one wants peaceful family happiness more than Siggy Flicker, but if there’s one message she would like to impart to her fellow Real Housewives Of New Jersey stars it’s that in matters of resolution “TIMING IS EVERYTHING!” (the CAPs were Siggy’s).
As Siggy so aptly reminds us, a lack of timing “applies to a lot of the relationship turmoil that’s happening during this season of RHONJ.” And every other season in the human existence of Real Housewives Of New Jersey… (this is the storyline that doesn’t end…) The latest Timing Turmoil belonged to Teresa Giudice, Rosie Pierri, and Kathy Wakile – cousins who may wave at each other if they saw each other on the street, but otherwise only interact if there is a Bravo camera trained on them!
Season 7 of Real Housewives Of New Jersey continues to center around the transformation of Teresa Giudice. Flashbacks to the season 4 reunion feature an enraged Teresa, morphed into TreHulk – bright green dress and all! – screaming into Kathy Wakile‘s face, contrasted with a post-prison Teresa, calmly explaining that she’s just “not ready” to deal with the emotional weight of rebuilding her relationships with her cousins. Instead, it is Rosie screaming in frustration.
It exemplifies a point that no one on Real Housewives of New Jersey seems to understand until it is way too late: no matter how much you want it so, no matter how much you regret your actions – from the person you married, to the words you said, to all the money you shouldn’t have spent – you can’t erase the past. In the immortal words of Cher, “If I could turn back time/If I could find a way/ I’d take back those words that hurt you…”
The first viewer question asks why Melissa loved Rosie and Kathy last season when they stood up for her, but this season she’s dropping them. “I’m not dropping them. I feel like we have grown apart, I’m not gonna lie about that. They actually stopped calling me to start that off. Sometimes people just grow apart and we didn’t have a big fight. I love them very much – they’re like family – they ARE family to us. I feel like what goes on between them and Teresa runs deep down the line. Like before I was even around, generations.
Melissa Gorga has been struggling all season to find a way to keep her family and her business endeavors in balance. She shares in her latest blog that they’re still in a work in progress.
She starts off, “Watching these last two episodes you really get to see the struggle Joe and I have been going through balancing both work and family life. Our babies are now all in school and are growing up so fast.”
Jacqueline Laurita has discovered a new way to drunk rant – is this good or bad? She recently posted two videos answering viewer questions about her life, the show, and all things in between. Interestingly, Jacqueline ignored most of the questions about Teresa Giudice (she was asked over and over again where they currently stand) but she did address her situation with Dina Manzo, drop hints about the reunion, dish on almost landing a spinoff, and more.
Jacqueline is preparing for the Real Housewives Of New Jersey reunion, which films next month. Jacqueline predicts it’ll “be a good one” and “extremely eventful,” adding, “I think it’s gonna be pretty intense.”
A few months ago, I would have never imagined that Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga would peacefully come together for a family gathering. Times have really changed though!
Both the Gorgas and the Giudices celebrated the birthday of Teresa and Joe Gorga’s father, Giacinto Gorga, and Gino Gorga in one big happy family celebration. All of the adorable Giudice girls – Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana – were present, hamming it up for the cameras, and the Gorga kids – Antonia, Gino, and Joey – were as cute and demure and darling as always.
Caroline weighs in on the Teresa and Kathy/Rosie situation: “Kathy is good people, Rosie is good people and they’re doing it from their heart. So I’d like Teresa to open up her heart and just understand that people make mistakes and say bad things they don’t mean sometimes and I think it’s time she kind of grows up and accepts them back.”
