Real Housewives of New Jersey

Real Housewives of New Jersey is right in thick of serious drama. Last week Teresa Giudice and Joe Gorga tepidly began to process their issues with the help of the formidable Dr. V (there isn't enough alcohol in the world for me to try and tackle that mess – so props to her!).

Caroline Manzo was also brought on by Teresa to try and mend the issues. "This is a tough bunch. They are very passionate people and very stubborn," Caroline dishes to The Hollywood Reporter.

However Teresa admitting she needed help shocked Caroline enough into going! It's not often Miss. Everything's Fine admits there's a problem, as we know… "I was very surprised to hear from Teresa," Caroline admits. "She's a strong girl and doesn't usually ask for help. I knew something was up."

Hey – remember a few months back when a big ol' brawl erupted when the Real Housewives of New Jersey stars were filming at the opening of Kim D's (KIM D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) new boutique, Posche 2?

Remember how Jacqueline Laurita reportedly ripped off her designer discount stilettos (girl's on a budg!) and whacked Johnny The Greek (aka John Karagiorgis) on the head, giving him like 10th degree brain damage. He couldn't tweet for one whole day, y'all!

And then Joe Gorga and Chris Laurita like attacked him. We've seen Poison fight, so I imagine Chris did most of the beating down. And then someone threw a sink…

You know, I have mad respect for how hard the ladies of the housewives' franchise work.  When they aren't filming drama-licious episodes, they are on a constant media tour, touting their products, and giving a whirlwind of interviews.  Of course, we all know that no housewife is on her game more than Real Housewives of New Jersey's Teresa Giudice, and you have to give her mad respect for that!

Speaking to Out In Jersey, Tre dishes on everything from her favorite dishes (what a segue!) to her family dramz.  Of her latest cookbook Fabulicious On The Grill, Teresa opines, "It's really refreshing right?! This book is all about eating clean, and exercising of course. You are what you eat, people need to get that by now," adding, "I've been exercising for the past two seasons and it's been great, they really go hand in hand. I cook the way you see in the book, simple and easy, and always with fresh ingredients. That's really what people need to understand, it doesn't have to be fancy. You can make a great meal with fresh and simple ingredients."

Teresa also reveals that she's always had a passion for cooking, and she hopes that her girls will share her love of all things culinary.  She says, "I'm first generation Italian, it's definitely what I love to do. The cooking, the cleaning, all of the traditional things like that, like the old days. I really think that the new generation loses that, and it's really important. Those are the things that were instilled in me, like keeping a good house and having old school values. I want my daughters to do these things for their families, which is what really inspired me to do the books. It's a memoir for my daughters to have for the future."

Sunday nights are stuffed with our favorite reality shows. A few of the shows are seeing big viewer numbers while others may need to consider a move to another night.

The rumble at the retreat proved to be a ratings hit for The Real Housewives of New Jersey this week. Jersey reached its second largest audience numbers this season – a whopping 2.83 million, which almost tied the season 5 premiere (2.84)!

Also seeing an increase was Keeping Up with the Kardashians.  The K-Krew came in at 2.6 million this week, up again from last week.  Clearly Kim's pregnancy is bringing in the viewers.

Sister Wives debuted on Sunday night and is off to a strong start with 2.5 million.  We're still planning to cover it, but most likely not until next week due to technical difficult difficulties this week!

I'm so tired of Real Housewives of New Jersey making promises it just can't keep. Kind of like writing checks your mouth (or your husband!) can't cash… right Teresa Giudice?!

In the latest installment of the feud that just goes and on and on my friend (this is the feud that never ends), Teresa blogs about how the retreat went from bad to worse and then maybe better? Baby steps, baby steps, baby steps…

"There are no words. No words. I wouldn’t wish this situation on my worst enemy," Teresa begins.

"This was not a fun episode to watch mostly because I was hearing the things my family was saying about me behind my back for the first time,"  Teresa continues. "Richie, really? Melissa [Gorga], really? This is how you talk behind closed doors? You see how me and my husband talk. No bashing. Never have."

It's no shock to any of  you that the drama was front and center on last night's Real Housewives of New Jersey when the retreat that Teresa Giudice organized turned into a Joe Boxer situation with Poison Gorga battling brother-in-law Juicy Giudice.  Kathy Wakile has her own take on what's gone down thus far this season, and she's talking to OK about the craziness.

Discussing how it's hard to re-watch the drama after the fact, Kathy explains, "It scratches the surface again and that hurt keeps coming up. It’s hard to watch it because you’re like, ‘Oh my God—that’s what we look like.’ Sometimes it’s about the hurt and not about the actions that make is so bad. And we’ve come so far that you don’t want that to suck you back in."

She adds, "You have to rise above it and say, ‘Okay, I’m glad I’m not there anymore.’ It’s easy to add negativity because you now see what the other party was saying and you can easily start saying things and falling into that trap. You start reliving those patterns so you’re really not in a better place if you allow yourself to do the same things. Then you really haven’t learned anything."

Melissa Gorga took to her Bravo blog to defend the crazy antics of last night's episode of Real Housewives of New Jersey and attempt a little more damage control.

Melissa says that last night's brawl was ten years in the making and her Joe just couldn't keep the floodgates from bursting open, "Ten years of hurt and anger in my husband just exploded. He had reached his breaking point.  Joe Giudice immediately demanded an apology when his wife was called “scum.” I wonder how he would have reacted if his wife were called, say, “stripper,” “cheater,” “skank ass beotch,” or “horsey face.”  The fight was about anger, frustration, and resentment. We held it in for so long that eventually we just broke down and couldn’t take it anymore. What Joe was trying to explain to his family is that when you speak negatively about his wife, it is disrespecting him."
