There is no doubt about it: Sonja Morgan always elevates the situation when she is a guest on Watch What Happens Live. Andy Cohen barely has to do any work as the host because Sonja delivers comedic gold without even trying.
Real Housewives of New York City
For the most part, the Real Housewives of New York cast is full of dynamic characters. No matter what you think about Bethenny Frankel, Ramona Singer, Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, and Dorinda Medley, you have to admit that they really bring it as cast members. Excluding some people from that list is my subtle way of saying who the boring ones are. Why are they on the cast when there are so many viable candidates in New York City?
Even Bethenny herself wants a more diverse cast. The part about some people being boring was just my own personal commentary, but my point is that there are is definitely some dead weight on this show and that in combination with Bethenny’s wish for diversity can go hand in hand. Andy Cohen, are you listening? Drop those other two and spice up the show.
Hell really has frozen over in Vermont since Bethenny Frankel invited Ramona Singer to the Vermont trip she hosted. So far, Ramona stayed out of the drama. The biggest issue she caused during the first episode of the trip was complaining about the room selection with Sonja Morgan.
Still, those two had nothing on Luann de Lesseps, who felt like she was entitled to some sort of bridal suite because she just got married. How does that make any sense? She only invited one of these women to her wedding and she already had numerous pre and post wedding parties. Now she wants a special room during a girls trip just because she got married. That doesn’t add up. The fuss around this wedding has gone overboard… a long time ago. Good for you, Lu, but let it go.
After the best season ever of Real Housewives of New York, this current one is not living up to last year’s glory – other than Dorinda Medley who comes through in every single episode. She went off on Sonja Morgan during that “gangster lunch” in the Bronx and gave this season some much needed life. I had no idea what she was talking about when she kept saying “clip” over and over again, but she clarified on Watch What Happens Live.
This season on Real Housewives of New York, Ramona Singer is constantly bragging about all of the dates that she goes on, so it seems like she loves the single life and dating around, but apparently she still has a bone to pick about her divorce from Mario Singer.
Surprisingly, Ramona’s beef is not actually with her cheating ex husband. Instead she supposedly confronted a publicist about her role in the demise of her marriage which sounds like a textbook case of projection and deflection.
This isn’t saying a lot, but this Real Housewives of New York season isn’t a good look for Ramona Singer. And no, I’m not talking about her high ponytail from the last episode. She has been more irrational and spiteful than ever before. Her latest move? Inviting Tom D’Agostino’s former love interest Missy to her party even though she knew that both Tom and Luann de Lesseps would be in attendance. Is that a coincidence? Dorinda Medley sure doesn’t think so.
After all, Dorinda is the one who introduced Luann and Tom in the first place, so of course she’s going to support the newlyweds. Plus it’s really just ridiculous that Ramona is still trying to push their buttons even though they are legally married.
Even though Bethenny Frankel was more focused on selling her apartment than hanging with her Real Housewives of New York costars last episode, she sure has a lot to say about everything that went down. Obviously she called out Ramona Singer for inviting Tom D’Agostino’s former flame to her party.
Bethenny also had a lot to say about the new girl Tinsley Mortimer, which is pretty surprising considering that she doesn’t have much a story line this season, but then again there’s pretty much nothing going on so far. Hopefully it picks up, but in the mean time, as her last name suggests, Bethenny has some surprisingly strong opinions about Tinsley’s return to the Big Apple.
I will never get over Luann de Lesseps asking “Is it about Tom?” last season on Real Housewives of New York. Not only was the moment hilarious and instantly iconic, but it was also clearly prophetic since RHONY is all about Tom D’Agostino these days.
This week’s episode was no exception since another one of his former flames took center stage. This time it was Ramona Singer’s friend Missy who appeared in a previous episode and was clearly invited to instigate controversy. Speaking of controversy, Ramona made sure her newly renovated apartment got screen time since she invited everyone’s ex Harry Dubin to the soiree too.
