Ramona Singer Talks Berkshires Blow-Up On The Jenny McCarthy Show; Admits She Regrets Attacking Bethenny Frankel

After she saw herself go bananas on Bethenny Frankel in the Berkshires, Ramona Singer has a bit of ‘splainin to do. And The Real Housewives Of New York star visited The Jenny McCarthy Show on Sirius XM this week to do just that. She dished about her history with Bethenny, why the situation finally came to a head, and how Bethenny’s behind the scenes drama with her “sadistic” and “evil” ex-husband, Jason Hoppy, affected her behavior the entire season.

Ramona began by recounting the incident, and the emotions that led up to it. She explains, “I just lost it on her. I don’t even remember half the things I said. I had to wait to watch it to see. I was walking on eggshells. She wasn’t giving me an inch for months, so I was hoping at the Berkshires we could have some closure. And yeah, I was sh*t ass nervous! I was drinking all day long. Every time I’ve been around Bethenny, it’s nervous energy. I’m not really acting like myself.”

I have no idea who was asking for this, but Jill Zarin returned to Real Housewives of New York last night because she is thirsting for relevancy such close friends with Luann de Lesseps. I’m sure she was hoping for a big comeback, but the OG cast member truly underwhelmed. The only major soundbite she provided was her belief that Ramona Singer is “unhappy.”

I’m not sure what Jill would know about anyone on this show since she isn’t really friends with them, but she had no issue psychoanalyzing her frienemy. Now she is explaining the comment that she solely made for attention and by “explaining,” I mean she’s backtracking from her own words and sucking up to Bethenny Frankel again.

The Real Housewives Of New York Recap: Black Out And Get Out

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s the bitter sour patch kid in Kelly Bensimon’s gummy bear bag! Okay, it’s just Jill Zarin trying to make herself happen again – but still! For long-time Real Housewives Of New York fans, the return of Jill feels kind of epic, if short lived. Also epic is the throw down in the Berkshires, starring Ramona Quimby Age 8 Singer and Bethenny Frankel, who decide to further impose upon Dorinda Medley’s gracious hosting by getting naked and mud wrestling in her parlor. Well, nearly.

Bethenny does pull a spread eagle while screaming at Ramona though, which sort of feels like a low rent Wonder Woman move gone dangerously awry. And Ramona uncorks the long-buried demons of Scary Island as she eviscerates Bethenny like never before. Her motto last night: When they go low, I go Pinot! In essence, the drama this week is served upside down, with a twist of crazy. Just the way the Housewives like it.

In her latest Bravo entry, Dorinda Medley explains how awkward things are getting when it comes to the ladies obsessing over Luann de Lesseps‘ upcoming nuptials to Tom D’Agostino on Real Housewives of New York. She thinks it’s time for the women to drop the nonsense and let Lu do whatever she’s going to do.

Dorinda shares why she agreed to talk to Lu on their behalf, “While we’re waiting for Lu, the topic of her relationship with Tom is brought up again! I want to address this once and for all: I always said if there is something you know or want to say about Lu and Tom, come to me, and boy, the girls did. I’ll keep my word, sit down Lu as soon as she arrives, and give her the heads up, but the whole thing makes me incredibly uncomfortable, and it is becoming weird.”

Tinsley-Mortimer-Mexico

As cool as I think it is to be a Real Housewife, I feel like it has to be a pretty stressful gig as well- especially for a first-timer like Tinsley Mortimer.  I like Tinsley so far, but I feel like she’s in a little bit over her head with all the outrageous personalities on Real Housewives of New York. So I don’t blame her for jetting off to Mexico while this current season is airing.

I, too, would need a break from reliving the drama watching the episodes and scrolling through social media commentary. With that said, it seems like Tinsley’s Mexican getaway looks like it was just what she needed at this point.

As The Real Housewives Of New York returned to the Berkshires, so did the unhinged craziness. So, maybe it’s Dorinda Medley’s home that’s to blame? Bethenny Frankel seems to think so! She jokes, “It’s not me. It’s the Berkshires. Here we go…I mean three years in a row is a record.”

In their blogs, Bethenny and Luann de Lesseps break down the drama, and share some insight on just how differently they see the world. Though Bethenny still may think Luann is making a huge mistake in marrying Tom D’Agostino, she admits, “Luann had strength. I felt badly, and who knows if I was projecting. I just wanted to make sure she felt safe to jump on a lifeboat if she needed to.”

Ramona Singer blog

The tension between Ramona Singer and Bethenny Frankel has been lingering for most of this Real Housewives of New York season. It pretty much all stems from when Ramona asked Bethenny if her six-year-old daughter was aware of a topless scene she did in a movie. Ever since then, Bethenny has wanted nothing to do with her…. other than the events they’re contractually obligated to attend as cast members of the same reality show.

Bethenny has been doing her best to pretend that Ramona doesn’t exist and Ramona mistook the (initial) lack of arguing as an indication of peace. Of all people to teach Ramona to be self-aware, it was Sonja Morgan who pointed out that Bethenny was still very mad at Ramona and then the episode ended on a cliff hanger with Bethenny and Ramona screaming at each other. This means that the feud will continue for the entire season at least another episode.

I think I can speak for the better part of The Real Housewives of New York viewing audience when I kindly request that they make the Tom D’Agostino storyline just STOP already. (Please? We will do anything – we will watch Sonja Morgan go in for vaginal rejuvenation number two! We will welcome Jill Zarin back with open arms! We will watch that friggin election party again – okay, too far.) Because when it comes to this dusty old Tom story, I have to channel Ramona Singer here and ask, are you kidding me? Are you KIDDING me? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?!

Alas, I regret to inform you that despite our better wishes, the ladies decide it’s still a wise idea to confront Luann de Lesseps about her upcoming nuptials to dear, openly-cheating Tom for the seven hundredth time. In this week’s installment of Are You Sure You Want To Be A Bride, Luann? Ramona leads the charge, with Bethenny Frankel throwing some tears and bizarre begging in for good measure. Then, Ramona and Bethenny go at it head to head in what may be the final round of their friendship. This all occurs after Ramona nearly literally turns herself into the cartoon character version of her former, batsh*t self. So, strap in!
