Real Housewives of Orange County

After an enormous falling out on last season’s Real Housewives of Orange County, Shannon Beador and Tamra Judge are not sharing the intimate details of their private lives with one another anymore (although they don’t mind sharing them with millions of viewers!). But Tamra is now telling OK! Magazine that she knew more juicy details about Shannon’s probably doomed marriage than any of her castmates, including the fact that David was having an affair, as far back as last year! Tamra explains, “Last year I touched on issues that were being brought up with them. I knew about this last year. I knew that David was having an affair last year.” (Did she mention “last year” enough times yet? Yes, we got it!)

So, what’s the reason Shannon kept quiet back then, but is going public with the affair now? Tamra reasons, “I think too many people knew about it and she was worried that it was going to come out.” Quick to offer fake kudos to her castmate, Tamra offers, “I think that it’s great of her and scary at the same time for her to share that with everybody,” adding, “She could’ve easily brushed it under the rug and said, ‘Oh it’s a lie.’ But the truth of the matter is it’s very real.”

New RHOC star Meghan Edmonds with her husband Jim Edmonds

Meghan Edmonds joined Real Housewives Of Orange County and was given the description “Tamra Barney‘s mini me.” Not exactly something I’d want to be known for, but to each their own, right?! New to reality TV, marriage, and Orange County, Meghan is being thrown a lot of curve balls this season, but she isn’t afraid to get in the mix!

Meghan, who is married to former MLB player Jim Edmonds, revealed they joined the show to tell their “really unique story” – of being the much-younger third wife of a former pro-athlete in a midlife crisis? of being the “hashtag cool stepmom!”

“I don’t know a lot of people who are young stepmoms. It could feel really isolating,” Meghan shares. “I want others to see that this happens and it doesn’t have to be a secret. And not only that, we have a lot of things happening in our lives.” Whoa – deep.

Last night’s premiere of the Real Housewives of Orange County set kind of a heavy, gloomy tone for Season 10. And Shannon Beador’s marriage woes – including husband David’s infidelity since last year – is partly to blame for that. In her Bravo blog, Shannon tell us why she and David decided to reveal the most intimate moments of their marriage, including couples’ therapy to work through her hurt feelings about David’s affair, on reality tv.

Shannon explains, “I really don’t know where to start. I suppose the first thing I should address is why my husband and I have chosen to show such personal and private information on television. The decision was not an easy one. But after much counseling and discussions with our children, we thought that we would tell our story with the hope that other couples who have faced similar heartbreak can repair and restore their marriage like David and I are doing.”

Tamra Judge Babyshower

Last night was the season premiere of Real Housewives Of Orange County season 10. There’s a new girl in town, but the old gals are bringing all the drama!

Vicki Gunvalson is WOOHOOING to her hooha’s content and rolling in the affirmations! Brooks Ayers and his (apparently suspect?) cancer have moved in and Vicki is relishing in the fact that she can play the nagging, over-bearing, mother hen who also holds the bank account and the car insurance. “Brooks eat that carrot or you’re gonna get spanked!” Of course, Brooks is acting the part of the rebellious teen sneaking light ranch dressing and whining that he can’t have Wonderbread with I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter like all the other boys.

“Cancer loves white bread!” Vicki lectures, making a little note to up Brooks’ insurance policy and give a rousing speech at the next insurance convention about the benefits of long-term care policies. Now she knows from experiences. WOO HOO! Vicki is having her affirmations for breakfast and selling them too.

Real Housewives of Orange County

The tenth season of Real Housewives of Orange County premieres tonight with “new boobs, a new housewife, and a whole new set of problems for the ladies of the OC” promises Bravo. The new boobs belong to Tamra Judge, the new housewife is Meghan Edmonds, and the new problems are of the real-life variety. There’s no petty drama this season. Says Tamra. So we shall see.

As we previously reported, Tamra, who claimed she’ll be “absolutely vindicated” this season, insisted viewers will see a softer side of her this season. “I become a grandmother and take a spiritual journey in my life that I am excited to share with everyone,” Tamra said while promoting season ten. “We have a death to a birth and everything in between. The season is very raw with real life issues.”

The Real Housewives of Orange County - Season 10

The countdown to season 10 of the OGs of the OC has begun, with Bravo’s original Housewives brainchild, the Real Housewives of Orange County, returning next week. There’s a new face in the group (isn’t there always? even if there’s not a new cast member?), and this season her name is Meghan King Edmonds, the very young wife of 44-year old hubby, baseball star Jim Edmonds. And she’s not afraid to start spilling the beans on her costars right away!

In a Perez Hilton interview this week, Meghan dishes on her marriage, her unique home dynamics, an her castmates. Breaking all of her vows to “never marry” an older athlete, Meghan now shares a home in CA with his 17-year old daughter (who’s closer in age to Meghan than Jim is) while Jim travels back and forth to St. Louis for work. Meghan also says she’s close friends with her stepdaughter’s mom. Sure, sure. A good friend of Heather Dubrow, Meghan says letting the Bravo cameras into their lives was a tough decision, but Heather’s given her advice to just “be herself” and “stand her ground” to succeed on the RHOC.

Real Housewives Of Orange County Season 10

Real Housewives Of Orange County season 10 premiers next week, but the Housewives assure us this season will be a very different glass of wine. Don’t expect producer-amped up melodramas, instead expect real and raw emotions as the ladies confront birth, death, Tamra Judge finding Jesus, relationships, terminal illness, and very real friendship issues

“You’re going to see a lot of real – with all of us,” shared Shannon Beador. “I think it’s a really good season this year. We have a birth, my granddaughter, we have a death, we have everything in between,” Tamra agreed. “It’s really real life stuff going on. It’s not like, ‘You didn’t invite me to a party! You took my chair!’ It’s not that stuff…”

Watch What Happens Live Andy and Bethenny

Bethenny Frankel turned the tables on Andy Cohen for a special segment of Watch What Happens Live. He dished on casting mistakes he’s made, which franchise has the most behind-the-scenes drama, whose fans he worries about burning down his house, and more.

Bethenny asked Andy, thinking back to the first season of Real Housewives of Orange County, did he think it would be as big as it is today. He said the possibility hit him in season two when Matt and Jeana Keough‘s marriage fell apart. “I was like, this is like a soap opera. Like, I care about Jeana, and things are not going well for her.”

On reality TV being blamed for the demise of so many marriages, Andy shared, “I think it has accelerated marriages that weren’t working. I’ve talked to Tamra [Judge] about this. I’ve talked to Vicki [Gunvalson] about this. They were in a relationship that wasn’t working. They saw it replayed on TV, and were like, ‘Wow, this is really bad.’ They had a chorus of people saying ‘dump him, dump him’ and they actually had the balls to do it.”
