Don’t talk about Kandi Burruss‘ mama or try to take her food. Just in case you weren’t aware! On last night’s Real Housewives Of Atlanta, the ladies tried to come together for good, but first they had to be bad.
Crossing enemy territory and waving the white – or peach – flag of surrender, Phaedra Parks invites Kenya Moore to tea. Both wielding tongues like fruit knives, they exchanged barely-veiled barbs dipped in honey and stirred with hot milk to soothe the pain. But then Phaedra invited Kenya to be part of her efforts to send kids from Flint, Michigan, to summer camp through the Phaedra Phoundation.
Kenya says that she was shocked over Matt’s sister’s scrutiny, but understood it completely. “I was more surprised that it wasn’t his mother. Matt’s sister is older than him and he is the baby. I wasn’t expecting her to be so direct with her concerns. I do, however, appreciate her love for her brother and wanting the best for him. With that said, most mothers love me, but I was skeptical of her acceptance because of our large age difference. As such, I didn’t think she would approve of our relationship.”
Since her marriage was a disaster, Cynthia Bailey assumed her divorce would be a happy land of friendship, promises of everlasting love, and compromise. I think she forgot she’s divorcing Peter Thomas.
When Cynthia learned her spurned ex had reached out to her sister Malorie for guidance she was definitely “surprised.” After all, Mal tried to sabotage the wedding, and Mal and Peter have never exactly been friends. Crisis brings people together, I suppose…
In all the years that Kenya Moore has been on Real Housewives of Atlanta, we’ve never really seen her sweat. She comes across as confident no matter what – or who – she’s up against and nothing ever seems to make her nervous.
Needless to say, it was different to see Kenya caught off guard and nervous at Matt Jordan‘s family reunion. Matt‘s sister Hallison put Kenya through the ringer. I am sure Kenya wanted to throw some serious shade Hallison’s way, but she restrained herself.
To put it mildly, Phaedra Parks and Porsha Williams got off to a rocky start when they first met, but now these two are the epitome of #BestFriendGoals on Real Housewives of Atlanta. They even refer to themselves as “frick and frack.” With that said, the best friendship does not mean that they automatically agree with each other’s decisions. Case in point: Phaedra is not exactly on board with Porsha’s proposed plan of becoming a single mother.
I figured that since Phaedra is now a single mother herself- since Apollo Nida is locked up in prison- that she would have more empathy for Porsha’s desire to be a mother. But then again, she obviously knows how difficult it is, so I can see why she would want to look out for her bestie. Nevertheless, Porsha does seem genuinely interested in becoming a mother- with an emphasis on that happening sooner rather than later.
Last night’s Real Housewives Of Atlanta was all about love and motherhood and all the complications that come with it. But first, like with all things, we must dip our toe in hate!
Phaedra Parks, Porsha Williams, and Sheree Whitfield take their camel toes to brunch to discuss Sheree’s fight with Kenya Moore. Apparently, Kenya has been conducting faulty research, which misled her to believe Sheree is a hoe. “HOE!” scoffs Sheree, “I ain’t never been associated with no hoes!” Well, except for the ones Bob was probably cheating with. Sheree is indignant that someone who “slept her way to the top of the Z-List DVD rack” has the nerve to accuse her of impropriety.
After finally completing Chateau Sheree, Sheree decided to celebrate with an over-the-top housewarming party (for her done house!), which was filmed for Real Housewives Of Atlanta as the season finale. Unfortunately it wasn’t legal for Sheree to be living in the house, let alone throwing a party there!
