As you know, Phaedra, reality starlet, quotable wordsmith, lover of pickles, and attorney extraordinaire, did not take kindly to Vibe.com financially backing Angela Stanton’s tome of slander “Lies of a Real Housewife: Tell the Truth and Shame the Devil,” and she recently filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit against the site’s parent company. Now it appears that her mother, Pastor Regina Bell, is following suit…literally!
Wedding bells are chiming for Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann! Last night’s Don’t Be Tardy for the Wedding gave viewers an inside look at the hours leading up to the sure to be over-the-top and ridiculousness of the Zolciak-Biermann nuptials.
As always, the episode starts with Kim talking to precious K.J. (is he always in a skull cap?) about the big day. The last minute preparations are happening in the back yard. Brielle and Ariana bring Kim breakfast. Kim reveals that the always romantic Kroy has insisted that they don’t see each other on the day leading up to the wedding. The couple won’t be honeymooning until after football season.
Assistant SweetieNiki is now going to serve as matron of honor in place of Kim’s biffle Jen. With all the changes that must take place in order to have Niki ready for the big day, Kim enlists Brielle to call her to make sure she will still have time to fix the girls’ hair. There is one thing that isn’t causing Kim any stress, and that is Antonio Davis. Security is making sure that he isn’t allowed to set foot on his property.
Evelyn Lozada keeps managing to expand her brand, despite backlash from viewers of Basketball Wives. However, Evelyn doesn’t seem to care what people think of her. She tells VIBE (yes, she’s a guest editor this month), that if she’s learned anything from fiance Chad Ochocinco, it’s that controversy is a good thing. Of course it is! Highlights of her interview are below, but you can read the whole thing here.
How do you develop a tough skin for [naysayers]?
You can’t do this and be sensitive. For example, you know Suzie [Ketcham], she gets a lot of sh*t from the show. After she films the show, she doesn’t watch it or go on Twitter. She’s like, ‘I don’t know how you deal with it.’ I’ve accepted that this is a part of my life and apart of my world now. The more the show became popular, and I started dating Chad, and I got engaged to Chad, it’s been like chaos.
I’m never going to hide and I’m always one of those people that say TV can be a gift and a curse, and at the same time it’s opened up a lot of doors for me that I never would have imagined. I can look at [the show] and say, Maybe I shouldn’t have handled it like that. Maybe I shouldn’t have thrown that bottle at Kenya [Bell], you know what I mean? If I’m blessed to be on TV for another five seasons, you won’t see Evelyn doing that. I’ve learned from that situation. Me and Tami [Roman] do get a lot of heat because we are straight forward and in your face and controversial. It’s not always positive, but I know we can look back and say, ‘You know what, b*tch, that wasn’t cool.’

While she may have been ousted from Real Housewives of Atlanta, Sheree Whitfield remains as delightfully delusional as ever, telling S2S Magazine that any new cast members added for the show’s fifth season will be mere additions, not replacements. See, there is only one Sheree!
“No one can replace me. I can’t be replaced.” Well, that’s true. Who else would be able to produce something like She By She Broke, our Mary’s favorite fashion line? To those who say she cried and asked for her job back, Sheree says “as if”. You see my character. I’m not even that girl.”

Reality stars never cease to amaze me. Namely, one Evelyn Lozada, but that’s neither here nor there. Vibe recently interviewed Evelyn of Basketball Wives, alongside Tamar Braxton of Braxton Family Values, Kandi Burrus of RHOA, and Chrissy Lampkin, formerly of Love & Hip Hop fame. The interview addresses the violence and drama fueled fights often highlighted on these shows, and the women, one in particular, seems to like laughing all the way to the bank. I was, however, extremely impressed to see Chrissy take responsibility for her temper. It’s a long interview, so I’m just sharing my favorite highlights. You can read the whole discussion here, and try not to laugh when Tamar says Evelyn is beautiful “inside and out.” Enjoy excerpts from that interview below!
She by SheBroke has officially hung up her rented Housewives crown and moved on to other venues. Since leaving the show that made her extravagant spending and delusional ideas about elegance and soffisication a household topic, Sheree has decided to go in a completely different direction and one that I think will serve her well. Hey, she might even become She by ShePaid!
Speaking to Essence Magazine, the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star shares how things have been since announcing her retirement. “I’ve got a couple projects that I’m working on that I’m really excited about. I’ve partnered with a company called Xooma to create a 5 million-pound fitness challenge,” Sheree reveals. “We’re trying to help a generation get healthy. I’m really excited about it because this is my realm and what I love.”
Sheree maintains that the decision to leave the show was completely her own. “It was an amicable split,” Sheree insists. “I was ready to move and I don’t need to explain myself to anybody.”
“I am super happy and I’m moving in a different direction. This is what I know. I’m not about just being on a show bickering and fighting with women. There are big parts of my life that weren’t shown that I’m ready for everybody to see.”
