When a caller asked for Tamar‘s opinion on Kenya‘s music, she shared, “She sings? No shade! I think I heard [Gone with the Wind Fabulous] in the club one time. I didn’t know it was a serious record. No shade. Well, I can’t lie, she’s not my favorite. Something about the thirst of it all. She’s a pretty girl. It’s just, like, the pageant thing kind of reeks.” Tamar admitted that NeNe Leakes is her girl.
I’m sure I wasn’t the only one watching the Real Housewives of Atlanta star’s social media accounts for a reaction. And Kenya delivered!
Yesterday Phaedra Parks appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to talk the recent events of her life – most specifically Apollo Nida‘s incarceration and their marriage! Ellen also asked Phaedra about her Real Housewives Of Atlanta castmates and if Apollo cheated during their marriage.
What struck me is how nervous Phaedra seemed – in all the heated situations we’ve seen Phaedra in I’ve never seen her literally trembling. We do know she doesn’t like to “open up” so maybe that had something to do with it. I did love her dress which, and she joked with Ellen that anyone could be a southern belle – even Ellen. Ellen joked back that she had pearls on under her suit.
We previously shared some of Phaedra’s quotes about her life now, how she was initially supportive and believed Apollo was telling the truth (“Obviously it didn’t turn out that way,” she acknowledges.) and Phaedra also denied cheating during their marriage.
Last month Apollo Nida began an 8 year prison stint and Phaedra Parks is finally breaking her silence in an exclusive sit-down with talk show host Ellen DeGeneres. Phaedra will reveal all about how her world came crumbling down!
The Real Housewives Of Atlanta star says that she was in the dark about Apollo’s life of crime due to her busy schedule. “I really didn’t [have any idea]… ” Phaedra sighed. “I work, I just got my fifth college degree. I’m pretty much an overachiever. I have two very small children,” Phaedra tells Ellen in an interview to air today.
“So, I didn’t have any idea this was going on until he called me and he said ‘I’ve been arrested and I’m having this problem, but it’s not true,'” Phaedra says.

Here’s our photo of the day! Kenya Moore took to instagram tonight to show off her $20,000 check made out to Detroit Public Schools Foundation. Kenya canceled a planned event to give the organization the money, but it looks like she does have the check ready to go. The Real Housewives of Atlantastar writes, “I’m proud to be able to give back and keep my promise to the Detroit public schools foundation to donate $20,000. Detroit is a resilient city and so am I. I will continue to shine despite the people who want to see me fail or try to turn my positivity in to negativity. See you soon Detroit! #igotyomoney #kenyalovesthekids #twirlsawayhaters.”
Hot on the heels of Phaedra Parks announcing that she’s divorcing herself from providing Apollo Nida with spousal immunity, a judge is ordering Phaedra to discuss her husband’s crimes in an upcoming deposition!
Phaedra has been embroiled in a lawsuit against a woman named Angela Stanton who self-published a book titled Lies Of A Real Housewife which alleged that Phaedra was the ring-leader in the original car racket scheme that got Apollo (and Angela) sent to federal prison. This is the first time Apollo went to prison, mind you.
A portion of Angela’s book was published in Vibe Magazine, despite the magazine issuing a disclaimer that there were no facts to back it up. Phaedra sued Vibe, Angela’s publishing company, and Angela, settling out of court with Vibe and dropping the suit against the publishing company – but Phaedra’s suit against Angela rages on.
Now the Real Housewives Of Atlanta is required to give additional deposition because according to Angela’s attorneys Phaedra doesn’t want to reveal what she may or may not have known about Apollo’s illegal activities!
Just when we were all rejoicing over Kenya Moore doing the right thing by finally making that $20,000 donation to Detroit Public Schools Foundation, she goes ahead and twirls a fast one on us by canceling a planned check presentation and postponing the donation!
Kenya was scheduled to attend an assembly at Cass Technical High School, her alma mater, held in honor of her donation this Friday, October 17th. According to Kenya a scheduling conflict with her family has forced her to postpone the event – which was also to be filmed by Real Housewives Of Atlanta!
Shannon Barr the VP of a public relations firm that works with Kenya(lord is that a company that has been working overtime given the state of Kenya’s behavior!) claims that Kenya still plans to make the donation to the Detroit Public Schools Foundation and says the cancellation “has nothing to do with the donation at all.”
