The Real Housewives of Atlanta star is touted for being one of the first (and really the only) cross-over reality TV stars – i.e. making the shift from reality TV to scripted television in a regular role. NeNe had a season-long guest role on the hit show Glee and starting this fall she will be a regular castmember on Ryan Murphy‘s new sitcom The New Normal.
According to the WSJ: “The divide between reality shows and more-traditional scripted series has long been the Berlin Wall of the TV landscape. Talent competitions like ‘American Idol’ have launched successful entertainers, and so-called docusoaps like ‘Real Housewives’ have created their own genus of celebrity. But stars who find fame under their own names have trouble getting work as fictional characters.”
NeNetellsIn Touch Weekly that Bryson kept it a secret from her for months and that’s why she denied reports that he had fathered a child.
“I only found out about everything because I ran into Ashley when she was more than six months along,” NeNe insists. “I said, ‘You look pregnant.’ And she said, ‘Hasn’t Bryson told you?’ But he hadn’t because he knew that I wouldn’t approve of him having a child so young.”
She by SheBroke lives on! Thank you Jesus! The former Real Housewife of Atlanta, who can never get her bills on straight, has been battling ex-husband Bob Whifield over child support issues for years and she’s also battling her ex-attorneys who continue to claim she hasn’t paid them. Damn, She by SheNeedsToSellThatFirkin – again?!
StraightFromTheA reports that Sheree was back in court on August 15th and was none too happy. Sheree reportedly owes 100,000s of thousands of dollars to multiple Atlanta attorneys (but notPhaedra Parks!) and just hasn’t gotten around to paying them yet. Building a chateau is a lot of work…
Last week, Sheree continued to combat allegations that she never paid her divorce attorneys. The same attorneys who famously repossesed her Aston Martin as a result of unpaid fees. The firm in question is Weinstock & Scavo, and while they are no longer in business they still have a record of whom owes what.
Ever since the fourth season of Real Housewives of Atlanta ended the buzz has been about producers adding two new Housewives – one tall, one small to the cast. While Kenya Moore has long been identified as the Team Tall addition, a bandy of names have been flying across the gossip channels (touting everyone imaginable who lives nearish to ATL) about who will be the second newcomer.
Well it would appear that Porsha Williams Stewart is has officially signed onto the show as the new lady!
First reporting on Porsha’s new job is StraightFromTheA, who insists that she is definitely the newest castmember. Other sites have said contracts have been signed. SFTA reveals that producers approached several ladies looking for the “It Factor” but no one seemed to work out. And then they met Porsha and signed her right away.
Real Housewives of Atlanta’sNeNe Leakes is one busy woman. Not only is she on a hit Bravo reality show, she’s guest starring on Glee and working on her new sitcom The New Normal. With all of that television craziness on her plate, she simply doesn’t’ have time to add another project into the mix. Sorry Donald Trump!
Apparently, The Donald had hoped The Neenster would join his famous brethren on the upcoming season of Celebrity Apprentice All-Stars. Unfortunately, the grueling schedule was just too much of a commitment for NeNe. She would have likely been too tired to bring drama of NeNe style proportions.
There are some changes coming on some of your favorite reality shows. From Michael Phelps to P. Diddy, and NeNe Leakes to Kendra Bell, read on to find out what’s rumored to be happening on some of your guiltiest pleasures!
Whether you love her or hate her, you have to admit that Real Housewives of Atlanta’sNeNe Leakes knows how to manage her career. She turned her gig on RHOA to a guest starring spot on Glee, which in turn led to scoring a recurring role on an upcoming sitcom. Back when Kim Zolciak was filming Don’t Be Tardy for the Wedding, there were rumors that NeNe was jealous for not getting her own spin-off. Well, it turns out she has had one in the works…I Dream of NeNe (amazing name, by the way). According to the Examiner, NeNe is the one who pulled the plug on the series because she felt at that time she wouldn’t be able to carry her own show. Apparently, NeNe did get a patent on the title, so the show could come to fruition in the future. Right now, she just wants to focus on her budding acting career. I guess good things do come to those who wait!
