With all the bickering withPhaedra Parks, naturally we all assumed that's who NeNe wanted exiled to the Island of Lost Housewives. But in a preview of this Sunday's hour-long WWHL special, NeNe reveals it was actually Porsha Stewart she wanted fired!
"Yes, I did feel that Porsha at that time needed to leave the show because there was something – I'm a good judge of character; I've been blessed, child, I've been given a gift – and I kept feeling like Porsha and Kordell were not being real enough," NeNe admits.
You know what that means…a certain be-wigged one will be holding down the fort for Bravo's Tuesday night line-up. Will Kim Zolciak Biermann be vying for a schedule change for Don't Be Tardy? Hear that? It's the sound of a hundred wigs crying…
Andy Cohen took a look at some of the incriminating texts and deduced it as "It doesn't look like sexting to me!" We're still waiting to see the phone so we can judge for ourselves. In the meantime we'll have to console ourselves with Kenya's musings on her Bravo blog. Miss WHO-S-A is now accusing Phaedra of setting her and Apollo up at the reunion to ruin her reputation. Didn't Kenya bring up the texts first?
Porsha, with co-guest Vivica A Fox, pulled in 2 million viewers for the late-night talk show and it ranked as the highest rated episode of the season! That's a double-digit boost (or 43%) from last Sunday's episode!
With good comes bad, it seems! NeNe Leakes just announced her spinoffI Dream Of NeNe (which will premiere this fall). Unfortunately one of her sisters is continuing to court the media in an attempt to "expose" NeNe as a liar and user.
Last night was the conclusion of the Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion. And it was a whirlin', twirlin', spinning time. There were more lies, half-truths, and defense mechanisms swirling around that stage than in the eye of a tornado. And I'm dizzy.
A certain someone in a yellow dress needs to sit down and get her twirl out of Andy Cohen's face. Lord knows that may have been the closest he's ever been to a lady's anatomy.
Things begin with recapping Kim Zolciak's exit from the stage (and the show!). She texted NeNe Leakes a bevy of glowing compliments. In exchange NeNe wishes her well and calls her out on the wig pieces she was trying to pass off as her "real hair". Wig shade never ceases to amuse me. I call Kim's clip-in beehive "Marge".
Andy kicks off the show asking Porsha how she's doing, "I'm doing alright, I'm here, I'm standing. I'm just being strong right now."
On if she saw the divorce coming, Porsha says, "I was totally blindsided. At the reunion I did feel some kind of way because I did want my husband there with me, but I was standing strong representing for my family. I was a wife, that was my title. That's what I took on and had ownership of."
Porsha then shared how she found out that Kordell filed..and it's crazy! "When I found out about the divorce, it was absolutely a surprise. I was laying in the bed and I Tweeted 'today is the first day of the rest of your life'. I put the phone down and took a little nap and I looked back at my phone and my sister was calling me over and over. She said 'have you heard' and I'm like 'hear what?'." Porsha went back on Twitter and says the first thing she saw was "Kordell is divorcing Porsha". Porsha admits she thought it was a crazy joke. Can you imagine finding that out with your husband just hanging out in the other room?
One of the perks of being a Real Housewife is undoubtedly the non-stop product opportunities. A Housewife's job is never just a Housewife as she hawks everything from modeling schools, to tasers, to spinoff plots, to handbag/hair lines/wines, etc.
Cynthia Bailey has been cashing in on Real Housewives of Atlanta fame with the opening of The Bailey Agency and now with a hair care line and a wine. Talking to The Huffington Post, Cynthia reveals the secrets of leveraging the Housewife Hustle.
"I definitely have benefited from the exposure, launching my business on the Real Housewives of Atlanta, but you do [have to be prepared]," Cynthia admits. "The main thing is don’t overwhelm yourself. Figure out exactly what it is that you want to do, stay focused on that one thing and make that successful. Then you can add things later."
