I never thought I would see Phaedra Parks and Kenya Moore getting along and having lunch together on Real Housewives of Atlanta – it’s a miracle. Nevertheless, I can’t help being a little surprised that Phaedra reached out to Kenya to help with her summer camp to benefit kids who are suffering because of the water crisis in Flint, Michigan.
It was nice to see these two putting their differences behind them to help out with a good cause, but it was tacky as hell when Kenya and Sheree Whitfield argued over their mansions (for what felt like the millionth time this season!) during a meeting that was supposed to focus on raising funds for the camp. Really though?! They couldn’t be cordial for one charitable meeting?! Shaking. My. Damn. Head. Yes, it made the episode entertaining, but the timing was absurd! As far as I saw, Phaedra didn’t get a word in during the back and forth battle, but I’m sure she has some thoughts about them stealing her shine when she was just trying to be philanthropic.
This season of Real Housewives of Atlanta only just started, but there is no shortage of drama. Every single woman in the cast is bringing their A-game. They all have a lot going on own their own and with each other – which means that they all have a lot of opinions about everyone’s business. So of course Sheree Whitfield has thoughts about Kandi Burruss’s baby daddy drama and Porsha Williams can’t help reacting to Sheree’s fight with Kenya Moore.
I love how much this cast is weaved into each other’s lives – this show makes sense instead of random scenes of people who have nothing to do with each other. Everyone on Real Housewives of Atlanta is looking out for themselves and spilling the tea about everyone else and I am absolutely living for it.
Real Housewives of Atlanta viewers are seeing a lot of Kandi Burruss‘s personal drama this season. Poor Kandi – her mom and her husband are finally getting along and now she has baby daddy drama to deal with. A lot of the time, it seems like reality TV plot lines are contrived and manipulated, but you can tell Kandi is genuinely torn up about her daughter’s biological father Block Spencer coming back on the scene.
I find it shady as hell that this man who is supposedly successful in the music industry wants to be in his daughter’s life all of a sudden – in front of reality TV cameras. He couldn’t try to contact her in-between seasons? It seems extremely opportunistic and I can’t help feeling sad for Kandi’s daughter Riley Burruss. And on top of that the always outspoken Mama Joyce has had no issue sharing her opinions with Kandi, so it’s clearly going to be a drama-filled season for Kandi.
The best part of the new season of Real Housewives of Atlanta has to be the rivalry between Sheree Whitfield and Kenya Moore. Whether you call it thirst, shade, or delusion – these ladies are pure comedy gold together. Kenya keeps up the sniping this week in her blog, alleging that Sheree is “obsessed with her.” She also explains the new relationship with Phaedra Parks.
Kenya opens by saying she tried out Kandi and Todd’s new restaurant, Old Lady Gang, over the weekend! “I hope you all had a great holiday. I was blessed to have my niece and my sister, Lisa, and her husband come to visit me at #MooreManor. We had a blast visiting my friends and family. I even snuck over to Kandi’s new restaurant and overdosed on Mama Joyce’s “Better Than Sex” cake. My stomach and heart were full.”
Kandi definitely had something to say about the remark, and it is not shocking that Kenya continued to diss Sheree on her social media accounts. She is relentless, and as much as I love Sheree, I live for Kenya’s shade throwing. She is the queen.
I can’t be the only once fascinated by Cynthia’s desire and ability to be friends with an ex. I’m loving Noelle Robinson‘s increased presence on the show, so I’m not ready for her to move so I can’t imagine how her own mother feels. Cynthia opened up about both of these relationships and what we saw during the show’s latest episode.
Don’t talk about Kandi Burruss‘ mama or try to take her food. Just in case you weren’t aware! On last night’s Real Housewives Of Atlanta, the ladies tried to come together for good, but first they had to be bad.
Crossing enemy territory and waving the white – or peach – flag of surrender, Phaedra Parks invites Kenya Moore to tea. Both wielding tongues like fruit knives, they exchanged barely-veiled barbs dipped in honey and stirred with hot milk to soothe the pain. But then Phaedra invited Kenya to be part of her efforts to send kids from Flint, Michigan, to summer camp through the Phaedra Phoundation.
Kenya says that she was shocked over Matt’s sister’s scrutiny, but understood it completely. “I was more surprised that it wasn’t his mother. Matt’s sister is older than him and he is the baby. I wasn’t expecting her to be so direct with her concerns. I do, however, appreciate her love for her brother and wanting the best for him. With that said, most mothers love me, but I was skeptical of her acceptance because of our large age difference. As such, I didn’t think she would approve of our relationship.”
