Hot on the heels of Phaedra Parks announcing that she’s divorcing herself from providing Apollo Nida with spousal immunity, a judge is ordering Phaedra to discuss her husband’s crimes in an upcoming deposition!
Phaedra has been embroiled in a lawsuit against a woman named Angela Stanton who self-published a book titled Lies Of A Real Housewife which alleged that Phaedra was the ring-leader in the original car racket scheme that got Apollo (and Angela) sent to federal prison. This is the first time Apollo went to prison, mind you.
A portion of Angela’s book was published in Vibe Magazine, despite the magazine issuing a disclaimer that there were no facts to back it up. Phaedra sued Vibe, Angela’s publishing company, and Angela, settling out of court with Vibe and dropping the suit against the publishing company – but Phaedra’s suit against Angela rages on.
Now the Real Housewives Of Atlanta is required to give additional deposition because according to Angela’s attorneys Phaedra doesn’t want to reveal what she may or may not have known about Apollo’s illegal activities!
Just when we were all rejoicing over Kenya Moore doing the right thing by finally making that $20,000 donation to Detroit Public Schools Foundation, she goes ahead and twirls a fast one on us by canceling a planned check presentation and postponing the donation!
Kenya was scheduled to attend an assembly at Cass Technical High School, her alma mater, held in honor of her donation this Friday, October 17th. According to Kenya a scheduling conflict with her family has forced her to postpone the event – which was also to be filmed by Real Housewives Of Atlanta!
Shannon Barr the VP of a public relations firm that works with Kenya(lord is that a company that has been working overtime given the state of Kenya’s behavior!) claims that Kenya still plans to make the donation to the Detroit Public Schools Foundation and says the cancellation “has nothing to do with the donation at all.”
NeNe Leakes has big things on the horizon as she prepares for her final season on Real Housewives Of Atlanta. It’s long been rumored that ratings-nabber, NeNe is the highest paid Housewife in the Housewives franchise, and as she reluctantly agreed to do one final season of RHOA there comes a rumor that she’s earning more than a million dollars! But is it even more?
“I was not offered 1.5, let’s be clear, yeah, it’s a lot nicer than that,” NeNe said coyly, adding that despite the huge financial gains she’s ready to move on from Housewives.
Kenya Moore is always up to new things – and she’s apparently been writing a lot! The Real Housewives Of Atlanta star revealed she is writing a script for a TV show today. She does own a production company…
Kenya shared last week that she wrote a second book which is set to be released, topic not revealed just yet, and today tweeted that she was headed to the gym to work on the script for her new show!
“Rise and shine! Can’t hit the gym writing a TV script! Can’t wait to share. Xo,” she announced. Kenya didn’t give up any details just yet, she’s good at playing coy, but I wonder if her good friend NeNe Leakes will land a role in it?!
Phaedra Parks has shied away from all press while her husband Apollo Nida‘s legal situation exploded, culminating with his going to prison last month. But Phaedra is finally breaking her silence in an exclusive sit-down with talkshow host Ellen DeGeneres!
Phaedra’s rep shared with us that the Real Housewives Of Atlanta star will be discussing all things Apollo and be “very candid” about her life, what happened in her marriage, and her plans for the future in an upcoming episode to air on October 15th.
Porsha Williams is speaking out about her demotion on season 7 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Today when the new recycled cast photo came out, Bravo had Photoshopped Porsha out of the photo and put in newcomer Claudia Jordan. While Porsha’s role was up in the air, she was shocked to see she was only being referred to as a “friend” of the Housewives this time around!
Porsha shared a statement tonight via her rep, “This is not an easy time for me right now, but I want let everyone to know that I loved being a “Housewife” on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and I am thankful for Bravo for the opportunity but it’s not goodbye, you will see me on the show throughout the season sharing and bonding with the other women and I promise to stay connected with my fans as I start an exciting new time in my life.”
