This week's reality TV viewer numbers are in – and an impressive 2.206 million watched the Basketball Wives L.A. reunion, bringing its season average to 2.055 million. Sadly, only 861,000 fans bothered with the Southern Charmreunion, but we hope the season finale's 1.21 million and the season average of 943,000 is enough to get it renewed.
Y'all know I'm always the first person to snark onAlexis Bellino. Those outfits! That husband! The whole "not knowing what regular words mean"! However, I must begrudgingly admit that, no matter what the situation, Alexis' heart always seems to be in the right place.
The former Real Housewives of Orange County star just returned from a vacation where she spent her time giving back to those less fortunate. As much as Alexis annoyed me on RHOC, I do feel like she's one of the few who have left the franchise and continued doing what she would have been doing had she never been a Bravolebrity. Whether that's cutting sleeves off a dress recently sewn by seamstress or giving her time and energy to those who need it, I believe that Alexis, as shallow as she comes across, does have a heart of gold. And yes, it did pain me to type that…but I do think it's true.
We're still at Shannon's dinner party and tensions are running high. I blame Shannon and her non-organic vodka and her totally toxic marriage, despite the efforts of radiation detectors. Where's the detector that detects the bad vibes Shannon radiates?! She's got everyone gripping their knives for protection and wondering when the next onslaught is going to come. At least the food was good – everyone talks about the food – and the house.
Heather is most on edge of all. Fancy Pants doesn't like the new girl with her shi-shi-shi house giving her a run for her fancy pants money. To assert her crown Heather starts taking it out on the little people. She tells Vicki to hush (which finally, somebody did!) and stop interrupting while Shannon tells her Unhappily Married Support Group opener about how she was the girl who could never be alone and then she married David because well, he said hey!
Vicki Gunvalson has been making decisions with her empty love tank. And unfortunately her mid-life crisis love tank is leading her to Brooks Ayers!
Despite everyone in her life seriously questioning her decisions in the romance department leading to family and friends ostracizing her and beau Brooks (is he not sending them enough affirming Hallmark cards?) the Real Housewives of Orange County star insists she has no regrets when it comes to the choices she's made!
"I can't tell you how difficult this has been having my daughter and myself continue to not see eye-to-eye on some very important issues," Vickiadmits in her Bravo blog.
It is so bizarre to me that people would put their entire lives on display for our entertainment (I'm not complaining though!), but I find it terribly disturbing that even with cameras in their faces 24/7, so much more drama goes on behind the scenes. More than one housewife in the Bravo franchise has claimed to be the victim of domestic abuse while on the show, and now Tamra Judge's son is calling out his former step-father's violent behavior.
Slade Smiley is embarking upon yet another career change – and hopefully this one will make him some money! Doubtful.
Slade has been sporting some interesting long hair lately that have many fans making fun of him. Gretchen Rossi got on Facebook to defend Slave's latest look, claiming it's for an acting role! Like the types of roles Gretchen gets (extras) or the types of roles A-list Superstar Heather Dubrow gets (one scene extra)?
Lizzie is a former model who has two children with her husband who works in real estate. She is quick to admit that the veteran "wives" didn't welcome the new faces with open arms. In fact she likens her co-stars cattiness to hazing. Lizzie reveals that she did not expect their behavior at all, yet she also watched the show before appearing on it, so…
On Tuesday, 1.383 million viewers sat through theReal Housewives of New York bickering their way through July 4th. Part two of the Teen Mom 2 reunion attracted 1.351 million. That's a season low for Teen Mom 2. But it's more likely a result of MTV messing with the schedule rather than viewers losing interest.
