Back at Shannon’s Aries party, Tamra Judge is spitting mad that Vicki is allowing Brooks to call her a liar and a backstabber. The unladylike doth protests too much!
Tamra believes Vicki is so influenced by Brooks (and his lies) she may be turning into Brooks! Shannon is hard-pressed to believe that the never, ever dim-witted Vicki could be bamboozled by a con man, so possibly, just possibly, she knows Brooks is faking cancer but is going along with it. Even Tamra can’t believe that – or at least that’s what Tamra is telling the cameras because the only time Tamra has Vicki’s back is when she’s stabbing it!
Gretchen Rossi may not know much, but she certainly knows a thing or two about being judged for the company you keep and the integrity of your significant other! While Vicki Gunvalson and her now-ex-boyfriend Brooks Ayers are being judged and questioned constantly, Gretchen has certainly walked a mile in Vicki’s Manolos and is imparting some advice.
It is pretty uncanny that Gretchen and Vicki’s lives have some eerily similar parallels. The boyfriend nobody likes (or trusts), the significant other with cancer, the constantly having to defend your love and your relationship to people who barely know you…
Meghan King Edmonds has many things she would like to clear up and she’d also like to defend her title as World’s Coolest Stepmom (more like World’s Craziest Stepmom!) Reacting to last night’s episode of Real Housewives Of Orange County when Meghan confessed to what amounts to stalking Brooks Ayers – dang why are so many ladies obsessed with this man (#dickmatized!) – she insists she truly believed Brooks had cancer (she did?) and was just trying to help (by hunting down his exes?).
Because Meghan feels her actions were done with purity of heart, she doesn’t owe anyone an apology. Just how far is Pink Panther planning to take this quest for justice? #Knowledge
Shannon Beador begins this week’s blog with a similar sentiment she seems to express weekly: discomfort. But this time the discomfort is not from watching her marriage crumble on TV; it’s from dealing with the sketchy Brooks Ayers situation the Real Housewives of Orange County has unfortunately made its central storyline this season. Shannon shares, “This episode is heart pounding and uncomfortable for me to watch. So much information keeps coming up and I don’t like the position I am in.”
Shannon claims she was taken aback by the lengths Meghan Edmonds will go to in order to “get to the bottom” of Brooks‘ story. She confesses, “Dinner with Heather [Dubrow] and Meghan was shocking. The speculation and conversations about Brooks’ illness are not stopping and the women continue to ask me why Brooks has not seen one of the world-renowned doctors I referred to him. I don’t have the answer to that question. It is quite clear that Meghan wants to get to the bottom of things. I would never pick up a phone and pretend that I was sick to get information. She will clearly do whatever it takes to try and gather information.”
Confusing times on Real Housewives Of Orange County!Brooks makes me suspicious, yet Meghan Edmonds makes me equally suspicious. Whose motive is weirder?! I love a mystery – Veronica Mars is my favorite show, but Meghan makes amateur private investigators everywhere look psycho.
Brooks Ayers is a professional liar, smooth as snake oil and slathering it on Vicki Gunvalson as the serum of youth. Meghan is a two-bit phony, but she has two luxuries: Time and Vendetta (and internet access). This will not end well.
Things begin with Meghan meeting Heather Dubrow and Shannon for dinner. Everyone gets along now because Shannon saw the light that Meghan is always right (AKA, get along well enough to talk ish about Vicki).
They start off talking about different dramatic storylines this season on RHOC, so Andy asks Ramona her thoughts on several of the situations. Andy asks Ramona what she thinks of the OC ladies not believing that Brooks Ayers has cancer. “If he’s lying about, it’s a pretty emotionally ill thing and should call him out on it because it means he has problems. And if he is really ill, just leave him alone.”
Brooks Ayers, the Housewife that never was (but oh, he might as well be!) continues to find himself the main focus as the ladies attempt to decipher: Does her or Doesn’t he? Have cancer, that is! Meghan King Edmonds has appointed herself the cancer crusader (can she get a superhero cape to go with that?) and is determined to fight for justice by exposing Brooks as lying about cancer. Or at the very least withholding the facts.
I’m just going to say it. Meghan King Edmonds needs to find another way to stay relevant rather than clinging to the coattails of the whether bottom-feeder Brooks Ayersis lying about having cancer. There has to be something else the Real Housewives of Orange County newbie can focus on to stay in the spotlight, right? It’s just so tedious. While I believe Meghan’s concern started from a good place, now it’s just turned ugly. I’m no Brooks fan, and if it turns out he was lying about his diagnosis, that is really gross and low. However, you know what’s grosser and lower? Being the person who keeps accusing someone of lying about being sick when that someone actually does have cancer.
To be honest, I really wanted to like her. I figured Meghan’s youth would spice up the group, and anyone who wants to go head-to-head with Vicki Gunvalson is a-okay in my book. However, even though it’s fun to watch her call out Vicki, it’s not fun to watch her constantly whining about why it’s her mission to expose Brooks.
