I figured that Caroline as a first time grandmother and Lauren adjusting to motherhood might produce some cute material for some episodes, but unfortunately a nice family that gets along is just not ideal material for reality television.
Kim DePaola [Kim D] has been thirsting for a spot on The Real Housewives Of New Jersey for years and – hilariously – minces no words when it comes to how she’s scrambled to get there. In a recent interview, Kim admitted to starting StripperGate (she still believes Melissa Gorga was a stripper), following producers’ directions on stirring the pot, and intentionally messing with Teresa Giudice and Melissa’s newfound “friendship” last year.
Above all, Kim thinks Teresa hasn’t changed in the slightest since coming home from prison. Moreover, she accuses Teresa of having the power to cast RHONJ Housewives. “I think she has taken over the power as to who they hire and who they fire. That’s my opinion,” claims Kim.
News from the Real Housewives of New Jersey ladies has been on the quiet side since the last season went off the air. Its spin-off show Manzo’d With Children isn’t even on right now. So basically no one is getting into arguments and even the self-promotion has gone down (very slightly). This week, however, there are some little slivers of news from the Garden State reality stars.
There was zero indication that Dolores and Jackie were friends and the end of Jackie and Melissa‘s business arrangement was far from amicable. I get that Dolores has “been around forever” and has known most of these ladies for years, but I feel like Jackie’s appearance would not sit well with Melissa.
Teresa has paid in full the $414,581 restitution fine she and husband Joe Giudice were slapped with in their 2014 court case, which found both Giudices guilty of tax fraud. Since that time, Teresa’s wages have been garnished to pay the sum. One can assume that those wages have largely come from Bravo – or from Teresa’s memoir about life behind bars, Turning The Tables, From Housewife To Inmate And Back Again, which inexplicablybecame a NY Times bestseller last year.
Judge me if you must but I have to keep it real when I admit that I’ve seen every single Real Housewives episode multiple times. With that said, I cannot help favoring some story lines over others – the Real Housewives story lines that got dragged out way longer than they ever should have.
Some of these plot lines were juicy at first, but just got beat to the ground. Then there are other things that happened that none of us cared about, yet they got dragged out for two or more seasons. Either way, there are plenty of story lines that did more than outstay their welcome.
