Well, dear readers, thankfully the Mayan hype was just that…hype. We're now in the last week of 2012 (has it flown by as quickly for you as it did me?), and we need to focus on 2013. It's time for gorging on holiday leftovers and contemplating the last 365 days–or 265 days if you're RHOA'sPorsha Stewart. When it comes to making New Year's resolutions, I am absolutely horrible. Check that. I'm great at making them, but I'm awful at keeping them.
For 2013, I plan to eat healthier (the BoJangles drive-thru is just so delicious and convenient), write daily (for myself), cook more, and like wine less (bwahahahaha! Like that will ever happen!). I also pledge to spend more time with family and friends–it's my one easy given. I hate total failure. :) Finally, I resolve to train for the half-marathon I've been wanting to do, and this time around wogging (walk/jogging) three miles every other week just won't cut it. Thankfully, we've got some great tips from reality stars as to how to make our healthy resolutions an actuality. Fingers crossed.
First up? Real Housewives of New Jersey's controversial scene stealer is sharing a list of her ten healthiest tips…courtesy of her trainer. Celeb Buzz is reporting on how Teresa Giudice plans to maintain her svelte figure in the new year. The exercise-loving reality star reveals, “It is so rewarding how I feel at the end of the workout, I can’t wait to come back for more. One of the lessons I learned is that this is a lifestyle change. I’m not just here for a couple of months. I’m in it for the long haul.”
Love her or hate her, you knowKim Granatell (aka Kim G) brings the drama to New Jersey!
The last we heard, Kim was working on a book (Amazon is going to be bursting with RHONJ cast members in 2013) and she was in talks to branch off to another reality TV show and leave those NJ Housewives behind. True to her word, Kimmy G is attached to the new show "The New Jersey Socialites".
This won't be your typical "I'm so rich and fabulous yet the bank just put a lock on my front door in real life" type shows. It's set to be a competition style series – for charity! Check out the full press release below!
As I'm sure you've heard Melissa Gorga is heading into the writing game. I mean she's done so well with writing her own songs, why not branch out into like real authoring with a book? The Real Housewives of New Jersey star is currently working on a self-help/advice book about having a healthy and happy marriage.
Well our source tells us this is a complete joke, because Melissa's marriage to Poison Gorga isn't so happy at all!
"This is another fake, sick, and sad attempt to 'out do' her sister in law. Melissa and Joe have created this whole 'perfect marriage' image so they can cash in on it," our source shares. "They are so desperate to earn a dollar they will do anything. Melissa and Joe love money. They are obsessed with it. "

It seems the only requirement for getting a book deal these days is semi-relevance on a reality TV show. Clearly I took the wrong approach… Anyway, with almost every lady onReal Housewives of New Jersey scoring a book we thought we'd give the readers a chance to weigh in on whose literary fete is the most interesting!
First up, Caroline Manzo's book Let Me Tell You Something… hits stores in March and Caroline is providing fans with a sneak peak of all her Christmastime advice.
In a chapter titled "There's No Such Thing As The Perfect Christmas," she talks about dealing with holiday stress and discusses how she's handled it herself. It sounds just like Caroline. Whomever is ghost writing this sucker is good.
Melissa Gorga has finally "arrived"! It's a Real Housewife rite of passage to record a song and land a book deal. Melissa already tackled the music world (and was quite the overachiever by Housewife standards and recorded more than one) and now she's officially an author!
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Tweeted a few days ago, teasing that she had HUGE news to rub in Teresa Giudice's face share soon. We aren't always the patient type, but we finally received the press release announcing her new book, "LOVE, ITALIAN STYLE: The Secrets of My Hot and Happy Marriage".
Mrs. Poison explains the whys and whats of her new tome: “I can’t tell you how many times Joe and I are approached by fans asking how they can have a marriage like ours." Adding, “A great marriage doesn’t just happen. It’s a job. I work on my marriage every single day. In LOVE, ITALIAN STYLE, I’ll share the story of my life with Joe, the secrets of how I keep it sexy and real, and how pleasing my husband informs and influences every other aspect of my life. I’ll give readers practical strategies on how to strengthen their marriage, amp up the passion, and the secrets that make my marriage as sexy and hot as it is warm and loving.”
The book is set for release next Fall, just in time for your Xmas wish list. I wonder if it'll bring some competition between Melissa and Caroline Manzo, who is also releasing a new book in March.
TELL US – WILL YOU BUY MELISSA'S BOOK? DO YOU THINK HER CAST MATES ARE JEALOUS?
Hey – this isn't looking good! According to a report police were called during filming for Real Housewives of New Jersey! Who'd Teresa Giudice fight with this time? Just kidding, actually Teresa wasn't involved at all.
NJ.com reports that Albie Manzo was partying for the cameras at Hoboken hotspot City Bistro Bar when the police were called by the crew.
Apparently an unruly and intoxicated fan (non-fan? Teresa lover?) forced his way in front of the camera and wouldn't get out of whatever all-important Manzo moment was being filmed. Security (Security! Security!) and the film crew tried to persuade the man to leave but instead he pulled a RHONJ and heaved a glass in the direction of the cast. Oh no! Protect our Albie!
This must be the season of do-gooding on Real Housewives of New Jersey! Not that they weren't doing charity events before, but it seems like they're making it a focus of the upcoming season. That sounds like a breath of fresh air after last season's dark times.
