melissa-gorga

Well, well – what have we here! A little birdie that went to the press just one day after a story emerged that her family was in major financial trouble? Or just a mere coincidence.

Melissa Gorga‘s book has been fraught with controversy and negative reviews, and though it never even came close to the bestseller list (in fact it was actually panned for seeming to advocate such concepts as marital rape!), a new report claims Melissa is earning big from her book. And that income, coupled with her salary from Real Housewives Of New Jersey, is pulling the family out from financial failure. Interesting…

Melissa Gorga is making over $1 million right now. Her salary and her book sales have pushed her into a 7-figure earning bracket,” a source tells Tom Murro via Radar.

It seems all is not well in Poison Paradise! Melissa Gorga may be stuck in that “disgusting” rental for a while.

Reports are emerging that the Gorgas financial problems are far worse than it appears and Joe Gorga is borrowing money from friends, family, and co-workers to keep his businesses and personal life afloat.

Joe reportedly sunk “millions” (of pennies?) into his document garbage business, and the couple is having a helluva time “selling” their house (aka lease-to-own disaster). Melissa was just forced to give up her Bentley after the $5,000 lease was too expensive. A source claims the couple was only leasing it for Real Housewives Of New Jersey, anyway!

melissa, dina, teresa - combined IQ 36

So far this week the only Real Housewives of New Jersey stars to share their thoughts on this week’s hot mess are Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga.

Teresa took time out from her beachy summer vacay with the family to dish on the drama and to praise her brother Joe Gorga for keeping his temper in check this time around when it came to the confrontation with Jim Marchese

Teresa shared, “As for the ugliness of the first responders party and what came after, I will say I’m very proud of my brother for keeping his cool. Jim Marchese came at him, said terrible things, and he didn’t take the bait.”

Tre feels some sympathy for Amber Marchese and she calls out Jim for lying to her face.  “I did feel sorry for Amber because she was just in a physical fight and what her husband was saying wasn’t her fault. But I wanted to hear the rumors about what Jim said directly from him. So I asked him. And he lied. Right to my face. That is not what an honorable man does. Dina and I were giving him the benefit of a doubt, trying to be nice to him, and he got even madder and uglier with us. You don’t need to speak to women like that, you don’t need to speak to anyone like that.”

Last night on Real Housewives of New Jersey we open with the drama at the First Responsers Ball, where the pillars of RHONJ society congregated in their Partay Citay deluxe luxury couture vinyl posche-y firehoochie ensembles (basically this is like the MET Gala of Franklin Lakes, NJ, here people).

Of course not everyone was in the party mood, despite the finest quality vinyl they were wearing. Amber Marchese had her hair yanked out and her husband had his authority questioned. Jim Marchese whispers in Poison’s ear (not in the way that gets the poison flowing), that he is a “dumb f***” then walked out the door. And Poison, our jr muscle man hopped out of his chair, swimming in his fireman couture, and followed Jim to demand an apology.

Jim does not fight – he’s an attorney and an upstanding citizen who will just have you arrested. Then sued. Oh yes – Jim is a grown man who does not brawl in someone’s basement wearing a low-rent version of Kappa Kappa Gamma’s Halloween party garb. Nor does Jim exchange blows on the snow covered sidewalk of a New Jersey McMansion.

Ringling Bros. And Barnum & Bailey Presents

Rumors are abuzz that fired Real Housewives of New Jersey star Jacqueline Laurita will be back to cause major drama.

Jacqueline and sister-in-law (and fellow resurrected Housewife) Dina Manzo don’t speak after the last time they were on RHONJ together, and Dina has vowed never to do a reality show with family again. Too late because Jacqs needs the money and attention!

Despite a public twitter feud (mostly perpetrated by Ashlee Holmes) at the beginning of the season which exposed how strained Jacqueline and Dina’s relationship is, Jacqueline’s intentions for returning to RHONJ reportedly have nothing to do with confronting Dina or getting into a public fight. And then of course there was the rumor that Dina got Jacqueline fired in the first place…

Real Housewives of New York reunion

The reality TV viewer numbers are in – and the second installment of the Real Housewives of New York reunion garnered 1.514 million viewers, while the Real Housewives of Orange County saw a season high with 1.974 million tuning in to see them travel to Bali. For reasons I will never understand, 2.367 million watched the most vapid person on the planet contemplate adoption on Keeping Up with the Kardashians. As if.

Dance Moms saw a tiny increase in viewership. 1.517 million watched Abby vs. Cathy, but that’s still a far cry from the pre-Kelly/Abby fight numbers.

Promise of a catty fight on Real Housewives of New Jersey attracted 1.753 million viewers, 903,000 Don’t Be Tardy fans watched the Biermann Bunch go to Florida, and a new headache-inducing episode of Teen Mom 2 garnered 1.774 million viewers. Game of Crowns lost nearly 200,000 viewers. For most shows, that would not be a big deal, but to go from 618,000 viewers last week to 419,000 viewers this week is just terrible.

RHONJ Amber Marchese

Real Housewives of New Jersey newbie Amber Marchese is fired up – an extremely angry Amber had a lot to say about Melissa Gorga, Teresa Aprea, and Nicole Napolitano after this week’s dramatic hair pulling episode.

Amber revealed that she felt betrayed by Melissa and the twins, Teresa and Nicole, who she referred to as “little evil minions” and “dumb and dumber.”

“I know this blog definitely has a lot of anger, and that’s because I have a lot of anger when thinking of this episode,” acknowledged Amber. “I drank plenty of Patron and had a lot of my friends around to get through it.”

Teresa Giudice is trying to be a different Tre on this season’s Real Housewives of New Jersey. Which means, sadly, no table flips or country club freak outs. And it also doesn’t mean she’s immune from drama!

New housewife Amber Marchese has dived right in with both Louboutins and is starting drama left and right – and it’s not just Amber, it’s also her husband Jim! Last week Jim shared that he did not feel comfortable socializing with Joe and Teresa because they were indicted for mortgage fraud and he is in the mortgage industry. There’s also some confusing information about whether or not he works with the prosecutor who is prosecuting Juicy.

In this week’s episode Jim argued with Joe Gorga about why he was avoiding the Juicys, and Teresa is speaking out about how Jim’s comments have been hurtful and uncalled for.
