Despite what anyone wants to say about Teresa Giudice, the infamous bankrupt villainess of questionable intelligence has managed to convince producers to entirely craft the storylines of Real Housewives of New Jersey around her. Genius or lucky?
In tonight's installment of Teresa's Revenge, she will go head-to-head with cousin Rosie Pierri, who was last seen in a drunken stupor instructing Teresa to participate in some lurid sexual practices. Hey – hate sex works for some people!
Anyhoodle, Rosie and Teresa will sit down tonight and try to iron out all the conflict that has erupted since their parents stopped speaking and Wallpaper Wakile joined the show as Melissa Gorga's sidekick.
Because Bravo knows a good thing when it sees it, last night we were treated to even more madness from the Real Housewives of New Jersey. While the season was supposed to be over after the reunion trilogy (The Hunger Games it was not), the network decided to milk a little bit more out of the women and the viewers. So it is without further ado, I present to you the lost footage from season four. It's actually very telling to see what ended up on the cutting room floor, and what's being revisited in light of the ongoing feud surrounding Teresa Giudice and everyone elseMelissa Gorga. Editing truly is magical!
Narrated by Andy Cohen, the episode takes us behind the scenes of what happened during the season and at the far-too-drawn-out reunion. Buckle up (if you haven't boycotted the show yet!), and enjoy the bumpy ride with Melissa, Teresa, Caroline Manzo, Jacqueline Laurita, and Kathy Wakile. It's truly a sight.
We begin with a lost cause…Andy is trying to convince Juicy Joe (once again) that homophobic slurs are offensive and nasty. Joe is all, Ahhwatdisagain? before turning into a brick wall of Who Cares. By the way, did you know that Joe went on a boat ride with seven guys and one of them was gay? He is not a homophobe. The comments he made about Gregg Bennett were meant to be funny, not mean. He's so sorry Greggy doesn't have a sense of humor! Jacqueline tells Andy that she thinks Joe speaks more out of ignorance than maliciousness. Fair enough.
So we've made it. It's the end of Real Liars Housewives of New Jersey. I don't know about you, but I am so relieved to be done with this show. I don't know where I stand on things other than to say that I can see everyone's points as valid, but I'm tired of hearing about them.
So let's get started. We begin with Juicy Giudice still under interrogation. He's familiar with it by now, I suppose, given all his legal infractions. Caroline Manzo's comments about how Teresa Giudice will leave her husband and write a book about it if he goes to prison are revisited.
Caroline seems to be saying without saying it that editing minced her comment or took it out of context. Or perhaps she just doesn't want to admit that she said and meant it. There's so much backpedaling with these people I never know what to think. Anyway, Caroline dismisses it as a "hypothetical" and Juicy snaps that Caroline is a "know it all" She is – a very unwarranted 'know it all.'
Caroline says since Teresa is discussing her marriage with magazines, it's fair game. Andy Cohen asks about Joe admitting in Napa they got paid by the magazines, but all of the sudden it's denies, denies, denies. 'Huh? I said that? I was drunk? Whaddai say?' Joe and Teresa are masters of obfuscation. That should be their next book!
Oh lawdy, last night was a night of meltdowns wasn’t it?Real Housewives of New Jersey was an emotional hot mess of whining, tantrums, crying, cursing, bickering, double talk and fat talk. Sometimes we all freak out – even if we are a forty-something father of four or a ten-year-old girl or an overweight twenty-four year old woman. You know what – we’re all just people at the end of the day.
But before we get to tantrums, let’s talk butt cheeks. There were a lot of those weren’t there? There were also bras and tampons. And I learned something important today that I never particularly wanted to know… Teresa Giudice didn’t wear a tampon until she was 27. Did she never go to the beach on her period until she was married?
So things begin in the car with Teresa and Joe Giudice. She tells him about the pool party and he starts screaming and cursing about how much he hates her family and will throw them out of his house and kill people. It was horrible. Juicy needs an intravenous drip of prozac and an anger management coach. Teresa was mortified – as well she should be – dump this loser please. He’s bad for her image and her self-esteem. Melissa Gorga is speaking out about her real life as a working mom. The wannabe pop star and Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member is insisting that despite her busy schedule of non-stop appearances and promotions for her budding singing career and reality stardom she doesn’t have a nanny, housekeeper or cook.
In an interview with HollyBaby, Melissa reveals that she does all the work maintaining her luxury 15,000 square foot home as well as caring for her three young children — by herself! #yeahright. “I have no cooks, no nannies, no housekeepers, none of that,” she insists. “I like doing it myself. If it ever gets to a point where I’m completely overwhelmed, then of course you have to. For now I’m good.” That must be a Gorga thing — because sister-in-law Teresa Giudice claims the same thing!
Melissa shares that it has been an adjustment transitioning from full-time stay at home mom to career gal with outside obligations. “It’s difficult for me because I’m so used to being with them 24 hours a day,” she explains. “Now I have to take myself away sometimes and have a babysitter step in. It’s hard to let go because I want to be there for every single thing.”
“When I’m home, we’re all sitting down together,” she describes of incorporating family time. “We eat dinner together. My husband [Joe Gorga] has a lot of the same values as I do, which works great for us because we teach our children a lot of respect for their parents and to spend time with us. We don’t just plop them in front of a TV and walk away. We want to talk to them. We sit around the dinner table together every single night.”
For those of you who seem to remember Melissa bragging admitting that she had a nanny (or 2) or saw her nanny filming with the family at both Gia Giudice’s gymnastics event and Kathy Wakile’s Christmas Eve party, you are not alone, as many fans questioned Melissa about it on Twitter!
Melissa replied that the so-called nanny was actually a visiting Au pair from Argentina that has since returned home, Tweeting:“FYI, the young girl at xmas was an aupair from Argentina! she was here for 3mths going to school & baby sat when I needed her. Xo”
Melissa added “She went back home in January 10months ago…. xo I do use a new babysitter now when I need her…. my mother & sisters help me a lot! Xo” Does anyone else remember Melissa and her sister Lysa Simpson making fun of Teresa on the show for not having a nanny and relying on her mother for childcare?
Melissa, also responding to a fan that insulted her cooking, gave a shout-out to her SIL on Twitter replying with “go scratch!”
Since no RHONJ interview would be complete without discussing Teresa, Melissa also took some time to talk about the on-going issues she has with sister-in-law. Melissa once again claims she is taking the high road and trying to consider their children. “You try to cover it up as much as you can and for as long as you can,” says Melissa, who apparently believes covering up a family feud means appearing on a reality show where the plot line centers around said feud and discussing it constantly in the media. This seems to be modus operandi of the entire NJ crew!
“There’s no reason why a young child should see their aunts or uncles or any grown adults not being able to get a long. They just want to love their aunts. The want to love their uncles,” she confesses. “So to bring them in is selfish and it’s mean. Just to make them side with you, it’s terrible,” she remarks, perhaps alluding to Gia’s comments that Melissa controls her husband, Joe.
When she’s not dealing with her reality show, family, husband or sister-in-law from hell, Melissa is hard at work on her next single! Hey – she’s keeping AutoTune in business! “My next single is coming out soon. It’s called ‘How Many Times’ and it’s a song dedicated to my husband. I’m really excited for people to hear it.” Le sigh.
Speaking of Joe Gorga, apparently he and cousin-in-law Richie Wakile believe they need a reality show of their own! Real Househusbands of New Jersey + Greggy Bennett, anyone? “From your mouth to Bravo’s ears. Seriously, call Bravo and let them know,” Joe begged WetPaint Entertainment. “We want it to happen,” Richie agreed. “We’d love that.” Yes – but will the fans?
