Romeo

And then there were four. Last night, another star was sent packing from Dancing With The Stars.

Similar to the scoreboard from Monday night, landing in the bottom two were Ralph Macchio, who had to dance through a knee injury, and Romeo, who gave two solid performances.

Ultimately, the viewers decided there was still a lot of dance left in Ralph as Romeo, 21, and his partner Chelsie Hightower were eliminated.

“I’m surprised because that was one of my best dances last night,” said Romeo. “But I’m not surprised, because of the competition this year — anybody could go at any time, but we went out with a bang. That’s the most fun I had in my life… I was terrified of dancing,” he added. “I didn’t dance at my own prom… I think I’ve showed kids anything is possible if you try.”

Romeo then expressed his gratitude to his partner Chelsie. “I wanted to do this for you. We can dance after this,” he said. “I’m super happy and so proud of you,” responded Chelsie.

Next week is the semi-finals, airing at 8/7c on ABC.

TELL US – DID THE VIEWERS GET IT RIGHT WITH THE VOTING? WHO DESERVES TO WIN THE MIRROR BALL TROPHY?

Following “American night” last week on Dancing With The Stars, the show returned Monday night with a very non cheesy “guilty pleasure night.”

And it was a good night as the first 10s of the season were handed out to two contestants. Romeo received the first 10 of the night for his lovely Viennese waltz with partner Chelsie Hightower to Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On.” “Every once in awhile in a season, magic happens,” said judge Carrie Ann Inaba. “And that was magical.”

Romeo ended the night with a score of 28 as so did Disney starlet Chelsea Kane and partner Mark Ballas. Chelsea and Mark received the second 10 of the night for their quick-step to “Walking on Sunshine.” “I’m getting a suntan from you!” said judge Bruno Tonioli. “You have so much zest. Splendid.”

And it wouldn’t be a typical DWTS night if a mishap didn’t occur. This week, actor Ralph Macchio suffered that fate when his partner Karina Smirnoff tripped over him during their paso doble to “Everybody Dance Now” by C+C Music Factory. The duo quickly recovered and ended the night with an okay score of 24.

At the bottom of the leaderboard this week and in serious danger of going home is wrestler Chris Jericho alongside partner Cheryl Burke. The duo danced the tango to Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin” with Bruno stating the wrestler looked like “a lump of granite.” Ouch.

The results show airs tonight at 9/8c and someone will be going home. Below are the scores from last night -

Romeo & Chelsie Hightower: 28
Chelsea Kane & Mark Ballas: 28
Hines Ward & Kym Johnson: 27
Kirstie Alley & Maks Chmerkovskiy: 26
Kendra Wilkinson & Louis van Amstel: 25
Ralph Macchio & Karina Smirnoff: 24
Chris Jericho & Cheryl Burke: 22

In other DWTS news, it seems Mark Ballas, 24, and eliminated American Idol contestant Pia Toscano, 22, are still going strong.  The new couple was photographed dining at a Beverly Hills restaurant on Sunday night.  Also pictured with the duo were Mark’s mom (in the blue dress), and his fellow pro dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Those photos are below!

TELL US – WHO SHOULD GET THE BOOT TONIGHT?

It’s week two on Dancing With The Stars, and unlike the first week, there was more at stake last night as somebody will be eliminated tonight.

This week, the dances were the quickstep or the jive. When it came to the scoreboard, not much changed from week 1 as the leaders of the pack performed well while others remained in danger of elimination.

There was a three way tie for first place with Romeo, Hines Ward, and Chris Jericho each earning 23 points. While Hines received praises for his quick step, judge Len Goodman went as far as to declare Romeo’s quick step “the best dance of the night.”

Meanwhile, the top scorers from last week, Kirstie Alley and Ralph Macchio, fell a bit this week, garnering 20 and 21 points respectively. Ralph received some criticism for his jive with Carrie Ann Inaba telling him he needed to be “sharper.” Kirstie received praises from the judges for her energetic quickstep with partner Maksim, which ended with a “spontaneous” kiss by the way. “I love watching you dance,” said Carrie Ann.

As for Kendra Wilkinson, she continued to struggle, only improving a point from the previous week, with a score of 19. Wendy Williams also showed some slight improvement with a score of 17 for her high spirited jive. Also scoring 17 was hotness Mike Catherwood, though the cumulative total from both weeks puts him at the bottom of the scoreboard. And model Petra Nemcova scored another 18 for the second week in a row.

The stars’ scores this week will be added to last week’s points. That total will be combined with the viewers’ votes to determine who’ll be the first to go this season. The results show airs tonight on ABC at 9/8c. Chris Brown is also scheduled to perform on the show.

Below is the leaderboard. In parentheses are the scores from last night, alongside the total from both weeks -

Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff: 45 (21)
Hines Ward and Kym Johnson: 44 (23)
Kirstie Alley and Maks Chmerkovskiy: 43 (20)
Chris Jericho and Cheryl Burke: 42 (23)
Romeo and Chelsie Hightower: 42 (23)
Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas 39 (18)
Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett and Louis van Amstel: 37 (19)
Petra Nemcova and Dmitry Chaplin: 36 (18)
Sugar Ray Leonard and Anna Trebunskaya: 34 (17)
Wendy Williams and Tony Dovolani: 31 (17)
Mike Catherwood and Lacey Schwimmer: 30 (17)

Days after announcing the celebrity-star pairings, ABC has now unveiled the official cast photos of Dancing With The Stars season 12.

Above is a photo of Playboy Playmate and E! reality star Kendra Wilkinson, who has been paired up with Louis van Amstel. According to numerous reports, Kendra, 25, is the favorite to win the show.

Meanwhile, 60-year-old actress Kirstie Alley is hoping to use the show as a weight loss vehicle. “I’ve lost 60 pounds, and I have 30 or 40 more to go,” the former Jenny Craig spokesperson told US Magazine this week. “And I think with this strenuous, rigorous dance schedule, I think it’s going to work. It’s exciting.”

That should no problem for Kirstie, who is paired with hotness/tough hard-ass teacher Maksim Chmerkovskiy . The 12th season of Dancing With The Stars will officially kick off on March 21.

TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THESE PAIRINGS? WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE TO WIN?

Following weeks of rumors, ABC officially unveiled the new cast of Dancing with the Stars on Monday night.

The upcoming 10th season will have 11 “stars” vying for the coveted mirror ball trophy. Above is a photo of ten of the stars which included the more notable Kirstie Alley, Kendra Wilkinson and Wendy Williams.

The other stars included Ralph Macchio – the original “Karate Kid”, hall of fame boxer Sugar Ray Leonard, NFL player Hines Ward, professional wrestler Chris Jericho, Disney actress Chelsea Kane, actor/host Mike Catherwood, and rapper Romeo, who’s dad Master P was part of the show’s second season in 2005. Missing from the above photo is model Petra Nemcova.

And missing from the cast all together is Tea Party candidate Christine O’Donnell, who revealed she was contemplating doing the show after being asked. Christine would have been equivalent to last season’s Bristol Palin or perhaps season 8′s Kate Gosselin aka the controversial “star” this season seems to be lacking.

Meanwhile, TMZ revealed some of the stars/pro dancer pairs yesterday. Those are below -

Chris Jericho & Cheryl Burke
Lil’ Romeo & Chelsie Hightower
Kendra Wilkinson & Louis van Amstel
Kirstie Alley & Maksim Chmerkovskiy
Wendy Williams & Tony Dovolani
Chelsea Kane & Mark Ballas
Sugar Ray Leonard & Anna Trebunskaya

Ralph Macchio & Karina Smirnoff

ABC will officially reveal the full celebrities/professional dancer pairings on Wednesday, while the 12th season of DWTS will premiere March 21 at 8/7c on ABC.
