VH1 Basketball Wives Season 4
Whoa drama! VH1 has just released the all new season four trailer for Basketball Wives, and folks, it does not disappoint!

In the five-minute clip below, the ladies offer us screaming matches, table fights and of course bitch slaps! And unfortunately for Jennifer Williams, it appears she is out of the circle, perhaps for good.

We had heard about the falling out between former BFFs Jen and Evelyn Lozada, but in the clip below, it’s pretty clear there is no love lost between the two ladies. Not only does Evelyn repeatedly threaten Jen with violence, but Evelyn’s assistant even goes as far as to slap Jen in one the scenes. Yikes. Jen reportedly filed a police report following that incident.

Also bringing the drama are newbies Kenya Bell and Kesha Nichols, as Kenya seems to be the new Meeka Claxton, getting into it with most of the cast, while Kesha attempts to go toe to toe with Tami Roman. Poor Kesha doesn’t stand a chance! The season trailer is below!

No word yet on when we can expect the “You Ain’t About This Life” t-shirts from Ms. Evelyn, but you all know it’s coming!

And speaking of Evelyn, she continues to insist the wedding no one thinks is going to happen will indeed take place. According to TMZ, Evelyn and her NFL fiance Chad Ochocinco’s continue to plan their July wedding.

So can we expect Evelyn to change her name to Mrs. Ochocinco? That answer is no according to TMZ. The reason? Chad is planning to legally change his last name back to the one he was born with before his wedding date. And just in case you forgot what that name was, it is ‘Johnson.’

The new season of Basketball Wives premieres Feb. 20 on VH1.

Basketball Wives hasn’t premiered yet, but the drama preceding the show has been happening for months! In the latest, the much maligned Royce Reed talks the upcoming season, the arguments, and her opinion of creator and producer Shaunie O’Neal! Oh, and in case your wondering if Royce has any interest in joining the popular crowd – rest assured; she doesn’t!

Royce warns that this season viewers will see a decidedly less dramatic side of her as she stays out of the pettiness and the chaos. “Sorry to bust your bubble, but I’m not really in a lot of the drama,” she tells Sister2Sister. We will see her focusing on her outside projects, though. “I’m really out there just trying to do my own thing career-wise,” she explains. “I have a career outside of on this show.”

As for conflicts, Royce says there are none with the new editions to the cast, Kesha Nichols and Kenya Bell, who she says are definitely getting along a lot better than season one non-factor Meeka Claxton!

“[Meeka] wanted to be cool with certain people that did not want to be cool with her and she pretty much got stabbed in the back like 10, 20, 30 times,” Royce reveals. “I tried to tell her. Tami [Roman] tried to tell her, and it was like in one ear and like the other. You see where she is now … I don’t have an issue with Meeka at all. We’ve actually talked. She’s apologized.” Royce adds that Meeka has since admitted she formed opinions on the ladies before actually getting to know them.

One person Royce hasn’t mended fences with is Shaunie, but don’t expect confrontations between the two. “I don’t film with her. We don’t like each other. I don’t know what her issue is with me. … She was making up lies about me that wasn’t true,” Royce insists.

Denying rumors that Shaunie acts as the puppeteer amongst the ladies, Royce is adamant that isn’t true. “She doesn’t pimp me, and I’m pretty sure y’all see she doesn’t pimp me. My thing is, she does not own the show.”

“She doesn’t make me do anything, say anything … Yeah, it brings in a check, but I refuse to sell my soul for a check,” Royce asserts. Despite some of her mistakes from last season, Royce stands by them and insists she makes her own decisions on the show. “Everybody makes mistakes, it’s just ours is in front of the world.”

Speaking of mistakes and drama, another person Royce will be ignoring this season is resident mean girl, Evelyn Lozada! Darn – who will Evelyn be flinging drinks at then? Oh, nevermind… she’ll find someone!

Speaking of Evelyn, she is denying recent rumors that her abs were drawn on for her recent Maxim photoshoot. “People thought my abs were sprayed on but they weren’t. They are all real!,” she insists to TooFab, while promoting her upcoming book, The Wives Association: The Inner Circle. Does Evelyn really expect people to believe she wrote a book?

Evelyn adds that the shoot was an “amazing experience” even though it was freezing. Is that why she looks upset in every shot? Oh, and she also wants you to buy her new make-up, E by Evelyn Lozada, which comes out this month. I’m sure we’ll be seeing a lot of it on the upcoming season. A photo of Evelyn’s Maxim shoot is below!

Also, “Shaunie O’Neal is on the path to establishing herself as a business mogul. Evelyn Lozada and Jennifer Williams’ 12-year friendship is in a precarious position. Will it recover from last season’s fracture? Strong-willed Tami Roman continues to be a force to be reckoned with both socially and now in business. Royce Reed and Suzie Ketcham attempt to navigate uncharted waters as new chapters open in their lives.”

In addition to the cast photos, VH1 also released a new promo video for the new season.

The fourth season of Basketball Wives, original flavor will be airing next month and the ladies just want to remind us that they still don’t get along — specifically former besties Jennifer Williams and Evelyn Lozada!

In a new interview with Sister2Sister, Jennifer talks the status of her relationship with Evelyn and what she believes is the real reason things fell apart in their friendship. Hint, hint — she goes “bloop!”

“Let me tell you what she’s mad over ‘cause this always comes up. She hates the fact that I’m really good friends with NeNe [Leakes], and she hates the fact that me and Mashonda are good friends,” Jennifer explains, alluding to Evelyn’s jealousy over her new-found friendships.

“NeNe is such a good person. I don’t think you really find a lot of people in the same business that you bond with because I feel like everyone is so competitive and everybody is so worried about the next person doing more than them, and it’s not like that with her at all,” Jen adds.

“She’s always trying to encourage me. She’s just always trying to uplift me, and I need people like that around me. I love that about her. There’s no jealousy. There’s no competition. We try to complement each other,” Jennifer shares. Wait… is she talking about the same NeNe we see on Real Housewives of Atlanta every week? That NeNe, queen of haterville? That NeNe?

“I feel like it’s all coming from a place of hurt, and she’s turning it into anger,” Jen reveals of Evelyn’s feelings. “Why do you care who I’m friends with? Like, that’s ridiculous. I live in New York. You live in Miami. I don’t care who you hang out with. I’m kinda over it because I just feel like I’m at a point at my life where I’m trying to get rid of negative energy.”

“To me, I feel like it’s something so minuscule. It’s not like I slept with Chad [Ochocinco]. It’s not something irreparable. It’s something stupid that you’re mad over. If you really are mad because I have other friends, I think that’s completely ridiculous.” So wow, that sounds pretty petty. I am sure we’ll get more information on the root of their friendship demise this season. At least I hope we do!

Evelyn, who is really not in a keeping her clothes on kinda mood lately, recently posed for Maxim. In the spread Evelyn is sporting various teeny-tiny lingerie ensembles. Just in case Chad has a wandering eye like his on-again, off-again fiancé sometimes suspects, these photos should remind him of what he has to lose!

“I was so thrilled and honored to shoot with Maxim magazine. This was one of the most professional and best shoots I’ve ever had and it was truly exhilarating!,” Evelyn said of her nearly-nude photo experience. You can check out Evelyn’s Maxim spread below!

Finally, to prepare us for the upcoming season and get us really, really excited, Tami Roman is dropping little hints on Twitter. “Season 4 BBW so many twists and turns! You guys aren’t going to believe what “TRUTHS” come to light. EPIC!,” she teases. She also reveals that she and Royce Reed had a fight, spilling, “Well Me & Royce fight, she kicks me in the shin LOL.” Yeah, you can put me in the category of people who cannot wait to see that showdown!

Happy, happy! Shaunie O’Neal recently celebrated her birthday complete with her cast mates, a ginormous Louis Vuitton cake… oh, and of course the Basketball Wives camera crew.

The soiree for Ms. O’Neal, who recently turned thirty-seven, was sponsored by Cicroc and took place at Phillipe on Ocean Drive in Miami. In attendance were all her closest friends, mean girls and clingers alike (I’m referring to you, Suzie Ketcham!). Celebrating with Shaunie were Tami Roman, newbie Kenya Bell as well as former biffles Jennifer Williams and Evelyn Lozada. Noticeably absent were Royce Reed, who isn’t exactly Shaunie’s biggest fan (or vice versa) and the other new cast member Kesha Nichols.

Speaking of former friends who are usually attached at the hip, The Insider is reporting that the party wasn’t all fun and games for the ladies. A source reveals that Jenn and Evelyn, whose relationship has been fizzling since that fateful radio interview, got into a bit of an altercation at the party… which is perfect since it was being filmed for next season. Funny how that works out, right?

The witness reports that Evelyn and Jenn got into a heated “discussion” (read: fight) that culminated with Evelyn allegedly smacking Jenn with her fancy designer clutch. Wouldn’t it be hilarious if her weapon purse matched Shaunie’s birthday cake? The duel was apparently separated after continuing their verbal brawl, but I guess we’ll have to wait for the new season to see what actually transpired unless a wayward guest posts it to youtube.

After the incident, Tami and Shaunie tweeted one another, saying the party was “interesting and epic.” Not the kind of thing I’d post on Twitter if my birthday had been ruined by throw-down, but I guess I’m not looking for ratings either. :) It looks like we’ll have to wait patiently for February 2012 when the new season premieres to find out what really happened!

Photos from the fete are below!

VH1 has finally spilled the beans… the original Basketball Wives will be returning for a fourth season on the network. That is good to know, seeing as reports have been swarming about the cast filming in New York City before rounding out the season in Miami. And of course, VH1 is confirming two new cast members for the February 2012 premiere.

Meeka Claxton is out, but we will be welcoming back Shaunie O’Neal, Evelyn Lozada, Jennifer Williams and Tami Roman, the group otherwise known as the ‘popular girls’ (I wish I was making up this moniker), who will no doubt be creating waves. Also returning for the drama are the girls that can’t quite make it into the coveted (??) inner circle, Suzie Ketcham and Royce Reed.

Joining the party is Kesha Nichols whose fiance broke off their engagement mere hours before their wedding. Additionally, a more notorious newcomer will be on the show as well. Kenya Bell is described by VH1 as someone who “is in the process of finalizing a divorce from a basketball star and is one of the most notorious and controversial wives in the league.” The network also cites the juicy tidbit that Bell’s “infamous reputation is well known by the other wives.”

As for the veteran stars, the site promises that Royce and Suzie still “attempt to navigate uncharted waters as new chapters open in their lives.” Ooh, it sounds almost cryptic enough to get my attention! Tami begins to make her mark on the business world, while Shaunie focuses on continuing to stir the pot “establishing herself as a business mogul.” Yeah, that sounds riveting!

Of course, after Jenn’s radio interview last season in which she had less than stellar things to say about her bestie Evelyn’s engagement to Chad Ochocinco, their friendship has chilled considerably. The new season kicked off yesterday with a special photo shoot (the photos are below) and live video feed, complete with cast interviews on the show’s homepage.

Speaking of Jennelyn or Evennifer, whichever you prefer, the ladies may still be communicating even if they aren’t actually speaking in “real life.” Last week, Jenn tweeted her feelings with a passive aggressive sounding post that seems to imply that she has plenty of friends and doesn’t need Evelyn. I guess she no longer thinks she misses someone…

And back in September, things got ugly between the former BFFs on Twitter when Jen made a generic tweet that stated: “‘Hoes Be Winning.” Evelyn apparently thought the tweet was about her and went off on Jen. Evelyn’s tweets are below -

My circle of friends gets smaller and smaller & I love it. I don’t have time for part time fake friendships. Keep it moving!

#Youshouldbeembarassed that you are living a double life & no one knows who you really are #fake

I’m the last one to mess with when I know all of your business. #subtweet

I’m a ROTTWEILER & your a mutha f-n CHIHUAHUA. I will chew u up and spit u out. “Keep it moving” #TryMeIfYouWantTo

Shots are about to be FIRED. Lets go! Trust me, you won’t win boo!!!

Kind of sad when someone makes a tweet about “hoes” and you automatically assume it’s about you.

Finally, below are new behind-the-scenes photos of the BBW cast as they shot their new cast photos for season 4! Even in the photos, you can sense the tension between the ladies!

In the world of Basketball Wives: L.A., it’s hard to keep up with who is the lady Jackie Christie and her cast mates love to hate. On the most recent episode, Laura Govan is the target, but up until then, Draya Michele bore the brunt of Jackie’s wrath. After the ladies confronted Draya about past child neglect allegations (leaving her in tears), the group received backlash for bullying, with Jackie as the ringleader.

In a recent interview, Jackie speaks out about the “misconception.” She says, “The biggest misconception is that we are mean and bullies, and we don’t like Draya, but that is not true. We all have something to offer; it’s a lot of judging that goes on, especially because of the way things seem on TV. But once you get to know us as a whole, we all are not bullies and are caring, compassionate women. But we are not bullies—we all are really good people once you get to know us.” Say it one more time and people may just start to believe it!

Of the infamous scene, Jackie, like all reality veterans before her, blames editing for creating a situation that appeared to have all the ladies ganging up on Draya. Jackie explains,“See a lot of people didn’t get to see everything that was being discussed. It comes off like I was being a bully, and it seemed as though we were all just coming down on her, but there were a lot of things that was edited out. Draya wasn’t crying from what I was saying to her.”

She continues, “A lot of things were talked about and said throughout the whole conversation, and yes, I am crazy about my husband, but who wouldn’t be? But I wasn’t just saying it to Draya in a way that came off to be aggressive, even though that is how it may have appeared. Yes, I do have a strong personality, but I also am a loving and caring person.”

Finally, moving on from the Draya drama, Jackie addresses her missing cast mates, Kimsha Artest and Tanya Williams. If you recall, it has been SEVERAL episodes since we’ve laid eyes on those women. Despite a fake facebook page hurling accusations that Shaunie O’Neal orchestrated their absence, both women claim they left on their own because they didn’t like the way their cast members were behaving constant drama.

However, Jackie says we shouldn’t count Kimsha and Tanya out for good yet. She reveals, “I like both of them. I do miss their presence on the show—they are going to come back on a few of the future episodes. We stopped filming now, but they did do a lot of filming separate from myself, because a lot of times we don’t film together. But I do like both of them; I would love to see them be a part of the show again in the future.”

Switching gears from Los Angeles to Miami, recently Royce Reed of the original Basketball Wives claimed she was leaving the show. Once again heading to Twitter to track her career decisions, Royce has changed her tune and decided to return for season four.

Royce tweeted, “Well, As stated last week pertaining 2 BBW season 4 tht things may change and after SEVERAL conversations I have decided 2 return for Season 4. How much, I don’t know because I won’t compromise my career. I was NEVER cut/fired and my decision to return is solely based on negotiations, and messages from my fans. I love y’all and u will see a different side of me Season 4. #ImOuttie”

While many of her fellow cast mates have threatened not to film with Royce, she did receive some love from Tami Roman, who responded, “OK, I don’t know whether 2hug u or smack the ish outta u-girl don’t take me on emotional roller coaster LOL-welcome back :)

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF JACKIE’S INTERVIEW? IS SHE A BULLY? ARE YOU EXCITED ROYCE WILL BE RETURNING TO BASKETBALL WIVES: MIAMI? DO YOU THINK SHE WAS EVER REALLY GOING TO LEAVE?

Following in the footsteps of her costar Evelyn Lozada, who unofficially quit Basketball Wives last month, Royce Reed has now announced she is also quitting the show!

Royce tweeted: “Good Afternoon! As of right now I have decided NOT 2return 4 Season 4 of BBW due 2 artistic differences.Things may change but as of now, NO!”

After some fans wondered if this sudden change of heart was over money (I mean let’s face it “artistic differences” is usually the code name for I want more money!), Royce denied it was over finances. She wrote: “Some things have Nothing to do with money but All to do with images/careers! Never sell your soul! Respect is hard 2 come by! :-)

Wow. Even more surprising Royce’s costar Tami Roman then hinted that she might also be leaving the show. “Well ok @Roycelr don’t be surprised-several others may follow…” tweeted Tami.

No word yet on what those creative differences Royce is talking about could be. Perhaps the producers of the show are wanting her to make up with Evelyn, Shaunie O’Neal and Jennifer Williams in other to remain relevant on the show. After icing Royce out last season by not inviting her to Italy, the three meangirls have stated they no longer want to film with her. And with Meeka Claxton reportedly getting the boot, that leaves Royce with no one to film with except Tami.

And just a few days ago, the NY Post posted the blind item below about Shaunie the show -

“Which producer of a VH1 reality show is fed up with negotiations over contracts for “Basketball Wives?” The producer was overheard telling people that the ladies “better fall in line” or they’ll be booted “like the New York Housewives.”

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out. Must say the show is in serious danger if Evelyn, Royce, and Tami all decide to walk away!
