On the 8th episode this season, the ladies travel to Madrid, but Royce’s phantom illness and Tami’s mood swings put a damper on the festivities. Meanwhile, a man catches Jen’s eye, and the ladies overindulge on the local feed.

In other Basketball Wives news, NFL player and DWTS alum Chad Ochocinco is finally opening up about his engagement to Evelyn Lozada and based on his comments, it’s safe to assume these two crazy kids will not be tying the knot anytime soon.
If you recall, Evelyn announced the engagement via twitter back in November and according to Chad, it isn’t all sunshine and roses for the duo. “To be honest, we bump heads. Like, the personalities,” Chad told Entertainment Tonight.
“I can put my foot down but I’m trying to let her feel like she wears the pants. That’s what you’ve got to do sometimes. You’ve got to reverse it,” said Chad going on to add that Evelyn controls his finances. “The thing is, I can’t even spend it, man. Don’t get engaged man, don’t get engaged. She done put a stop to all the spending and all the having fun and I’m on a budget every month now and it’s frustrating because that wild side and that fun Chad is going away. I’m so businesslike because of that other half.”
So are there any wedding plans on the horizon? “I haven’t made wedding plans. Right now, I’m still in the stage of trying to make sure we’re on the same page before we [take that step], you know?” confesses Chad.
Here’s to hoping this won’t be another 10-year engagement for Eve.

Following last week’s drama at the charity melee, a new episode of Basketball Wives is airing tonight.
On the 5th episode of this season, Evelyn and Jen help Royce and Dwayne with a fashion fund-raiser, but they soon regret volunteering while Tami has elective surgery done. The episode airs at 8/7c on VH1.
In other BW news, Tami Roman is now speaking out on her actions on last week’s episode. If you recall, Tami raised hell, got loud and even took off her shoes during her argument with costar/party crasher Jennifer Williams over her earlier comments about never having seen a food stamp.
In fact, Tami had to be physically restrained from going after Jennifer. Below are some of Tami’s tweets regarding the events that took place -

Ashley Walker, who hosted the charity event, made the following tweet following the episode. “I want to say 1 thing @tamiroman apologized to me on camera (which wasn’t shown) and off camera many times. I have respect n luv for her.”

A new episode of Basketball Wives coming our way tonight on VH1 at 8/7c .
On the 4th episode of the season, Evelyn and Jen are snubbed when invitations for a posh fund-raiser go out, but they decide to crash the party anyway. Meanwhile, Tami and Jen clash over a seemingly benign remark.
And following last week's dramatic episode that involved the ladies ambushing Gloria Govan during lunch to confront her, Shaunie O'Neal is now speaking out in an attempt to defend her actions. It seems Shaunie got some backlash from fans of the show who were surprised to see her stoop to such a level. Below is part of what Shaunie had to say in a new interview with VH1.
"I regret not following my gut. My gut feeling was not to even go. It wasn’t that important to me if I ever saw Gloria again. It’s not something that even crossed my mind. What happened there and what was said was absolutely natural. It was a natural reaction and I think most women would have reacted the same exact way. And like I said, it was a bad day and it was immature of us, but had people seen the conversation, they’d know that we didn’t go in there for the sole purpose of teasing Gloria about her relationship.I think it’s also important to remember that this beef didn’t come from nowhere – you’ve said things about Gloria, and Gloria has said plenty of negative things about you guys and the show. It says a lot that she’s back on the show. She said she’d never come back and she didn’t want anything to do with it. But she’s back and she asked to come back. Maybe that was what she wanted: those five minutes of bad-ass Gloria. I don’t know."
Allrighty. And finally, it seems Jennifer Williams is following in the steps of her BFF and costar Evelyn Lozada as some very nude photos of her hit the net this week. If you recall, topless photos of Evelyn found their way to the net last April though unlike Evelyn, Jen's photos has both her implants and waxed lady parts on display. You know what they say, birds of the same feather… Though it is interesting that Jennifer and Evelyn gave their costar Royce Reed such a hard time last season for appearing in a raunchy dance contest video. So far, no nude photos of Royce have leaked online.
It is being rumored that Jennifer's photos, taken on a cell phone, were sent to a new lover and not her husband Eric Williams. However, this is just a rumor. Jennifer stated in a recent interview that she and Eric are still together and working on their marriage.

After a one week hiatus, Basketball Wives returns tonight on VH1 for a drama filled episode!
On tonight’s episode, we get to see some of the ladies (Shaunie, Jennifer, Evelyn and Royce) as they decide to ambush Gloria Govan and Suzie Ketcham during an outing in an attempt to confront them.
In the preview clip below, we see the ladies going at it while Suzie decides to walk away. It seems Royce, who helped plan the childish ambush, is mostly quiet during the whole drama. In the very childish scene, Shaunie seems to be the ring leader as she gloats over the cancellation of Gloria’s wedding to fiance Matt Barnes. It seems the scene took place just days after the wedding was canceled. Must say, it was a tad disappointing to see the supposed classy Shaunie behaving in this manner. Gloria does appear to hold her own rather well though. And why does Evelyn believe she is this big and bad Queen Bee all of a sudden?
Moving right along to other Basketball Wives news as Jennifer Williamsopened up about her marriage crisis with hubby Eric Williams in a new interview with Essence.com. Excerpts are below -
ESSENCE.com: How did you and your husband get through the infidelity? JENNIFER: He was sort of like, “I’m not gonna do this again.” I just figured I need to concentrate on me and make myself better and what happens, happens. I can’t really control anyone else but myself. When he turns the corner I don’t know what he’s gonna do so I can’t overly worry myself about that. That’s how I deal with it.
ESSENCE.com: You seem a little detached. JENNIFER: Not necessarily detached, but I focus on myself because I’ve learned the hard way. I’m taking things day by day. Like every other relationship, we have our ups and downs and right now we’ve made a decision to work on our marriage.

They’re baaaack! Though VH1 has yet to announce the official premiere date for Basketball Wives season 2, a four minute preview clip has been released.
And judging from the video preview, there will be no sophomore jinx with these ladies. In fact, there is a new housewife on the block with the addition of former NBA wife Tami Roman, who used to be married to Kenny Anderson. If Tami’s name sounds familiar to you, it is because she was on MTV’s The Real World LA back in 1993. The preview clip is below -
In other Basketball Wives news, following his arrest on the suspicion of domestic violence back in September, TMZ is reporting that all charges have been dropped against Matt Barnes.
The incident occurred back in September after cops received a disconnected 911 call. Upon arriving to Matt and Gloria Govan’s home, cops found visible injuries on both parties and arrested Matt for domestic violence. We’re guessing Gloria refused to corporate as she immediately denied all allegations of abuse just moments after Matt’s arrest.
The couple is still engaged though they canceled their August 21 wedding this year just 3 weeks before they were set to tie the knot. And judging from the clip below, it doesn’t seem Gloria will be appearing on the show’s new season. Also below, pictures of Tami.

It seems while VH1 was airing the reunion show of Basketball Wives, the real drama was taking place in Twitterville.
Matt Barnes, fiance of cast member Gloria Govan, didn’t appreciate what the ladies had to say about he and his fiance, mostly when they all declared they didn’t know who he was before the show. The led to Matt unleashing a verbal smackdown on the ladies.

This isn’t the first time Matt has unleashed on the ladies via twitter. Gloria, who did not attend the reunion, gave a new interview to VH1 and had some interesting things to say regarding Shaunie and Matt’s twitter attacks. Excerpts are below -
What do you think of the stuff Matt said to the women on the show via Twitter?
I think he has gone back and forth with them. I don’t have a Twitter account that I have used in a long time. I don’t follow them, they don’t follow me so it would’ve been pointless to get involved. Mainly, I told Matt don’t waste his time. They’re just unnecessary. They’re not a factor in our lives, to entertain ignorance belittles you and brings you down to their level. Part of me was proud of him, though. I was kind of excited. I was glad that he stood up to them. He protected me in a sense. I was excited for that, but I also told him it was probably a waste of time.
Are ties completely severed with Shaunie?
I think so. I don’t think I have aimed any of my comments at Shaunie in a negative light. From what I’ve heard, she had tried to say things about me or about Matt or about our relationship in general that just aren’t nice. I just think it’s also very immature. For someone to be grown with five kids, I feel like she should have better things to do with her time.
TELL US: WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE DRAMA BETWEEN MATT AND THE LADIES?
Tonight is the long awaited reunion show of VH1′s new hit – Basketball Wives. The one hour reunion is set to air at 10/9c.
As we reported last week, a major fight broke out when alleged groupie Sandra Lopez was brought on to the stage, much to the dismay of cast member Suzie Ketcham. Sources reveal “Suzie got really p—– off and just got up and left, but not soon after, she came back with a huge bucket of water and threw it at Sandra.”
According to an insider, things took an uglier turn when “Sandra tried to run away, but in the process, she slipped in the water and fell.” Cops were called and Suzie ended up being arrested.
While the ladies sit down to rehash the events of the season, cast member Gloria Govan will not be in attendance, as she skipped the reunion taping.. Gloria has voiced her disdain for the show, and has said she will not be back for season two. As we previously reported, VH1 has renewed Basketball Wives for a second season.

TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE REUNION SHOW AND THIS SEASON OF BASKETBALL WIVES?
In an all new interview with VH1, Basketball Wives star Gloria Govan is speaking out on her experience with being on the hit show.
Gloria speaks out on the drama with Royce, her fiance Matt Barnes stating that he is “disgusted” with the show, and briefly touches on the scandal of her sister, Laura Govan, having an affair with Shaquille O’Neal. Gloria also reveals her wedding is coming up in August and that she will not be returning for a second season.
And how do you feel about the show? Do you feel like your portrayal is accurate?
To a certain extent. I didn’t know the women coming into the show, so I think sometimes I may come off a little naive. I may come off as the shy-girl-in-the-background type, which is not my personality at all. I’ve never had a problem telling anybody how I feel. On the show, though, I’m being me, 100 percent real the whole time so there’s no surprises. I haven’t seen any surprises.
What did you think of the fact that Jennifer and Evelyn seem insistent on pushing the point that he’s not as faithful as you seem to think he is?
You have these grown women who have been in the game for so long, and you would think they would say, “Hey listen, Gloria, I’ve been there done that for the past 10 years and here are my stories, here is my advice, take it for what it’s worth and good luck.” Instead they have to be so persistent and try to taint our relationship. I look at it as being bitter and jealous. I’m 10 years younger than most of the cast members on the show, I’m 24-years-old, and I’m in a respectful, loving relationship, I’m getting married in August, I have two beautiful kids and a family who loves me, and a lot of them are missing a majority of those components. It’s natural for them to be envious of what I have.
They’ve gone as far as to suggest that they have, maybe secondhand evidence, that Matt has been unfaithful to you. Do you have any response to that?
No. I think that they’re just very scarred individuals who don’t have anything else better to do than try to create misery. They would be happy if I was where they are now, and that’s unfortunate. If you’re someone who thrives on someone else’s misery and you’re trying to break up a happy home, I just think it’s kind of sad.
What did you think about Matt saying the show “disgusted” him in a recent interview?
Matt is very opinionated. I just asked him to make sure that he pinpoints exactly what disgusts him next time. That’s just such a broad and vague comment that it could be interpreted in any way. It didn’t surprise me, though. Matt has told me several times that he doesn’t like the show. It’s not necessarily about my role, but just how bitter the other women are. Bitter and angry and just jealous. He’s just like, “That’s not a good look, that’s not who you are, that’s not who you represent.” I think he’s more concerned about people thinking that I run in this kind of circle, because I don’t. I can’t say that I was disgusted by the first episode, but you know, I wasn’t really a fan.
Your storyline isn’t exactly drama-free, though. When you talk about Royce you say to fraternize with her would be like sleeping with the enemy.
What I mean by that is Royce is Dwight Howard’s baby mother, and Matt is on the same team as Dwight Howard, so being friends with Royce is not worth messing up Matt’s team camaraderie. If Royce comes over here and we’re all buddy-buddy and Matt’s around, that could really end up messing up Matt and Dwight’s friendship.
Obviously the reason she was so aggressive in the boxing ring is because everyone had sort of informed her of your opinion of her. Did you feel betrayed by everyone at that point?
Not necessarily betrayed, I just think that they realize that I’m not going to conform to their little group, and so I think they try really hard to make me the black sheep or the outsider. Which is fine. I don’t have a problem with that, it was just kind of funny that they try to make it seem like I’m the only one who feels this way. They’re so quick to tell Royce, “Oh, well Gloria said this,” but in turn, they were agreeing with me or it may have been that they started the conversation and I just chimed in a little bit. I just think it was everybody’s opportunity to say, “Now we have a way to turn the tables.”
I’m sure that you don’t want to get into it about your sister’s alleged affair with Shaq, but did that add any level of stress as well? The fact that you were coming in with people already whispering about your family?
No. Like I said, in the show, they already formed their opinions and they’re already friends with Shaunie. And although I’m friends with Shaunie, I can’t say that we talk on the phone or we text each other. We are cordial, but she’s not invited to my wedding. She’s not that type of friend, so it didn’t bother me. You guys have already formed your own opinions, and I’m not here to change that. I’m here to say you’re not going to talk about my sister in front of me and think that that’s OK.
Knowing what you know about the way the show turned out, would you do it all over again?
No. No, no.
Would you participate in a second season?
No.
