VH1 is bringing back a lot of your favorite reality shows for even more seasons of craziness. Not only that, but Ricky Martin is set to have his own show as well. There are no specifics on the premise, but Ricky is in good company with the other famous people who took their lives to reality TV on the network.
Hopefully there will be more info about Ricky’s new show at some point soon.
No one can ever accuse the formidable Ms. NeNe Leakes of being idle! This week, NeNe will join the ranks of bonafide celebrities (many of them A-Listers) to perform on Lip Sync Battle. NeNe’s song of choice? RuPaul‘s “Supermodel (You Better Work).”
The Real Housewives Of Atlanta star revealed a teaser clip of her performance. She’s wearing an amazing rendition of one of Ru’s signature looks, reminiscent of what the Drag Race creator and host wore in the original music video for Supermodel.
It’s a big season for RuPaul’s Drag Race! The drag queen reality competition returns to Logo on Monday, March 7th at 9:00 PM ET with a super-sized ninety minute premiere that also celebrates the series’ 100th episode…and the 100th contestant to strut down the catwalk.
Leading up to the big event, Logo will air a full RuPaul’s Drag Race marathon of the past seven seasons which starts at 7:00 PM ET on March, 3rd. The four-day event will include brand new behind-the-scenes dirt and interviews from former contestants. We’ve already met the queens, but wait until you hear who will be dropping by throughout the season!
Are you ready for the Drag Race?! Y’all know I always am! The 8th season of the iconic RuPaul’s Drag Race returns March 7th. This season is all about the Benjamins! The show will celebrate both it’s 100th episode, and celebrate the 100th queen to sashay down the runway.
Judged harshly by RuPaul, 12 queens will compete to snag the title America’s Next Drag Superstar and win $100,000!
Meet the queens below and see the trailer for the new season.
Kym Johnson’s chemistry with Dancing With the Stars partner, Shark Tank star Robert Herjavec, can’t be denied – especially after that (spontaneous?) smooch on this week’s show! For now, though, Kym is avoiding that topic, instead focusing on her recent stint (with Carson Kressley, also a DWTS alumn) on RuPaul’s Drag Race as a dance coach. “It was definitely not your typical dance, it’s sort of a twist on your normal partner dance,” Johnson tells PEOPLE about the routines she helped customize for an unusual dance competition among the “half-man/half-woman” costumed queens.
Admitting to the newness (and awkwardness!) of the situation, Kym says, “I’m usually teaching a celebrity, and I’m the pro, so that, when you’re out on the dance floor, you know that at least one member of the partnership can sort of pull the other one through if they get lost,” adding, “but when you have two people in the same situation, that makes it really nerve-racking because either one of them could mess up, and it’s hard to get it back.” Kym admits she was nervous for the drag queens to pull off their final performance: “I was watching, holding my breath, thinking, ‘Please, keep it together!’ But the ones that struggled a little bit more in rehearsals ended up, I think, pulling it off the best in the actual performance,” she says.
With no new Real Housewives of Atlanta episode to snark tonight, we’ll have to snark on the next best thing: reality star fashion! The reality stars stepped out this week for RuPaul’s Drag Race season premiere, to host events, and get their self-promotion on in other ways.
Queens – get ready to START. YOUR. ENGINES!!!! because RuPaul’s Drag Race is back! I’ll fully confess to RuPaul‘s zany, funtasitcal, and delightful reality show being one of my favorite things on television, and blessedly the 7th season will premiere next month!
Season 7 will bring some changes to the beloved format. Comedian Ross Mathews and Carson Cressley will join Ru and Michelle Visage on the judges panel, replacing long-time member Santino Rice.
It was a dragtacular evening with a bevy of fine ladies in stunning attire. But of course, because it was the premiere party for RuPaul's Drag Race season 6 – which means, unequivocally the most stylish ladies on reality TV. Can one of them take Kim Kardashian or Kyle Richards under their wings?
Behold the awesomeness, the sheer fetes of makeup and hair, the sensational attire below. I'm swooning. Set your DVRs girls, because the drag race is about to begin!
