Two weeks after filing for divorce and just days after revealing she endured physical abuse in her marriage, Taylor is now being sued alongside her estranged husbandRussell Armstrong for $1.5 million in an alleged internet scam.
In the lawsuit filed Friday in L.A. Superior Court, MyMedicalRecords.com alleges the two pocketed more than $1 million from people by misleading them into thinking they were investing in the company.
The suit claims Taylor and Russell, who is described as a venture capitalist, "successfully and secretly" funneled money away from MMR and into their own pockets.
The company is also accusing the duo, whose sketchy past was unveiled earlier this year, of misusing the funds to "live a lavish lifestyle" including paying for interior decorating on their mansion, and investing in a fancy restaurant with actress Eva Longoria.
Taylor has yet to comment on the lawsuit while Russell's attorney claims MMR is struggling economically and describes the lawsuit as "groundless" and a "shakedown."
Taylor, 40, makes the shocking revelations in an all new interview with PEOPLE magazine. While all that talk about an amicable split came about after Taylor filed for divorce following six years of marriage, she is now telling a darker tale of her relationship’s demise.
“I felt like I was dying inside,” she says. “Now, there’s some sense of peace.” Taylor claims Russell was both verbally and physically abusive, with name-calling, hair pulling, and shoving being a staple of their marriage. She also alleges Russell threw things at her when enraged. As a child of domestic abuse, Taylor was an advocate for battered women, and her efforts were highlighted on the first season.
Taylor reveals, “I’m mad at myself for tolerating things I should not have tolerated from the first moment. Allowing this to happen in my own relationship was something I felt very ashamed of.”
After several months of counseling, Taylor realized she needed a better environment for the couple’s five-year-old daughter Kennedy and decided to end the marriage, adding the decision was a difficult one. “When I knew the filing had gone through, I just started to cry,” she says. “We tried hard to fix our marriage, but it wasn’t healthy.”
For his part, Russell, 47, admits, “Did I push her? Yes, maybe things happened in the heat of the moment, but it was during a time in our lives that was not characteristic of who we were. This show has literally pushed us to the limit.” Russell, however, denies ever pulling his wife’s hair.
The viewers of the reality hit will watch the couple’s marriage implode on the upcoming season which premieres September 5 on Bravo.
PEOPLE is reporting that the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star filed for divorce late Friday following 6 years of marriage. In fact Taylor herself confirmed the news through a statement.
“It was a difficult decision but I have decided to file for divorce from Russell,” Taylor revealed in an exclusive statement. “Although we have tried our best to work out our differences, I have come to the conclusion that it is in the best interest of our family that we separate.”
Taylor continued, “Together we are the proud parents of a sweet and wonderful little girl and she remains my number one priority. I am sad for my marriage to come to an end, but am confident that this is the right choice for all involved.”
Meanwhile Russell also opened up to the Rumor Fix website. “The pressure of being in the TV spotlight was pretty overwhelming,” he reveals. “It took our manageable problems and made them worse.” Russell described this as a “devastating time,” adding, “I don’t want you to get the impression that Taylor and I are bitter enemies — we’re not.”
UsWeekly first reported the couple had split in May but they denied it back then. The couple had been going through therapy to try to fix their marriage. Taylor, 39, and Russell, 47, tied the knot in 2005 and have one daughter together – Kennedy, 5.
Taylor is asking for joint legal and primary physical custody of Kennedy, as well as spousal and child support. TMZ is also reporting the couple had no prenup. Wowzers.

TELL US – THOUGHTS? IS THE HOUSEWIVES TO BLAME FOR THIS DIVORCE?
Over a month after initially denying a reported split, Russell himself is now confirming the news to OK! magazine stating a divorce is likely the next step.
“We still love each other, but after going through counseling it has gotten to the point that the stress is just too much for both of us,” Russell tellsOK!.
OK! also reports that Russell has in fact moved out of the home the couple shares with their 5-year-old daughter Kennedy. As for what led to the demise of their marriage, Russell, whose past legal issues came out last year, blames the pressures of being on television.
“I want Taylor to be the biggest actress on TV, and I want to feel happy not being on TV!” Russell adds.
As for Taylor, who has yet to publicly comment on this news, it appears she is already moving on. The NY Post is reporting today that she had a fun night out in the Hamptons recently with “Hell’s Kitchen” chef Seth Levine. Sources tell the Post that Taylor and Seth were acting very friendly at Seth’s East Hampton hotspot Georgica before heading to the dance floor for some dirty dancing. Taylor’s rep however denies the story. A picture of Seth is below.
UsWeekly also reported back in May that Taylor and Russell were experiencing “huge marital problems related to finances.”

TELL US – THOUGHTS? DO YOU THINK THEY WILL RECONCILE OR GO THROUGH WITH THE DIVORCE?
RadarOnline is reporting that Taylor, pictured above with husband Russell Armstrong on June 12 as they celebrated her 40th birthday, is battling with her castmates and causing tension during filming.
“Taylor is telling the other women exactly what she is thinking, and she isn’t holding anything back,” says a source. “Taylor has had some tense moments with Adrienne Maloof especially. Adrienne was completely taken aback by Taylor because she usually tried to avoid conflict. There has also been some drama between new housewife Brandi Glanville and Taylor.”
The article then goes on to claim that Taylor spent the first season avoiding confrontation and being a peacemaker. Yes, I’m scratching my head on that one as well. RadarOnline adds that since being in therapy this year, Taylor is now learning to be more assertive and speak her mind.
“Taylor has been getting counseling, which will be featured on the show this year, and she has been encouraged to stand-up for herself, and not let people, including her husband, Russell take advantage of her,” the source adds.
So when can we expect the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 2, which is currently filming, to premiere? The insider reveals Bravo “has plans to put the show on the air by October of this year.”
Meanwhile, Taylor came out last month attributing her very skinny frame to simply trying out some diet pills her husband brought home. Some of you wondered what those pills were, and according to Taylor’s twitter page, the diet supplement is called RegeneSlim. “They gave me lots of energy but not jitters. I do drink caffine though so, not sure about other people’s “jitter response.”” tweeted Taylor.
Taylor reveals that her marriage has never been better, despite the stories that say otherwise. She says, “Russell and I are together and in love and happier than ever.” Taylor attributes her husband as being the person who made her realize her dieting had gone too far, and it was with his support she was able to recognize the “unhealthy extremes” she went to in order to lose weight. Read the interview exerpt below to see what caused her rapid weight loss and how she was able to change these habits to regain her healthy physique.
How did it all start?
Russell brought home diet supplements two months ago because someone he knows wanted him to look at the company. We didn’t discuss the business end of it, but I started taking the supplements without him knowing. In the back of my mind I didn’t think they would even work, so I wasn’t worried — they were all natural and I thought you had to take prescription drugs to really ever lose weight.
Why did you think you needed them?
You know how it is as a woman; I was feeling my clothes were tight. I get everything tailored to fit me just right, so even if I gain just a few pounds my clothes don’t fit. I’d gained some weight because I was so busy with the show, being a wife and mother and running my start-up business. We went to charity events at night and I was eating unhealthy “event food” or drive-thru food, so I felt I needed to lose some weight. When I was taking the supplements, I had so much energy and wasn’t hungry — I thought it was great at first.
Has Russell ever made you feel self-conscious about your body?
Not at all. As a matter of fact, like most men, he likes me best when I am voluptuous. Recently we were looking at photos and he pointed out one and said I looked so lovely in it. I laughed as I told him: “I was five months pregnant there!”
When did you know you’d gone too far?
It was Russell who got me to admit the truth. He saw I wasn’t eating much and that I was too thin. I wasn’t weighing myself or taking my measurements, but when he said it I knew he was right.
Okay, so Taylor and Russell are more in love than ever, and in two months herbal supplements caused her to shed a ridiculous amount of weight. Can I get the name of these “supplements” and directions to the back alley where they are sold? Kidding aside, I think supplements alone is a slightly odd reason for such a drastic body change. Of course, all of the stresses involved in being a reality star (NOT to be confused with the stresses of being in a bad marriage with a robot, because She. Isn’t.), could certainly take their toll on a person’s lifestyle, eating habits, and frame.
According to the latest issue of the magazine, Taylor, 39, star of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has finally left the icy Russell after 7 years of marriage. A source close to Taylor confirms the news to the mag.
“They’ve had huge marital problems related to finances,” the insider says of the couple, who were most recently seen together with daughter Kennedy, 5, at a May 7 Lollipop Theater Network event in California.
The news of a split doesn’t come as a surprise as their marital issues were well documented on the first season of the Bravo hit show which had Taylor comparing her marriage to a business arrangement. Plus reports came out months ago that the couple was undergoing marriage counseling.
The insider adds that the split has taken a physical toll on Taylor. “She’s emaciated — down 10, 15 pounds,” the source reveals. A report came out last month questioning if Taylor was anorexic after shocking new bikini photos of her came out showing a very skinny frame.
Meanwhile, the drama doesn’t end there for the RHOBH. While most of us assumed new housewife Brandi Glanville would be clashing with Lisa Vanderpump (Brandi’s good friends with Lisa’s former houseguest Cedric), it seems it is Kyle Richards who is clashing with Brandi on the show.
UsWeekly reports Brandi, 38 and Kyle, 42, have been “going at it” since filming began on season 2. “They got into a fight and Brandi lunged at Kyle,” reveals a source. “They had to be separated by producers.”
PEOPLE magazine is reporting that Brandi is “very happy” about joining the RHOBH and that “she really wanted to be on the show.” As for what we can expect on the second season, sources reveal Kim Richards is more assertive while sister Kyle has taken a more laid-back approach. Also, the entire cast has been more accepting of Camille Grammer, who clashed with Kyle on the first season.
TELL US – THOUGHTS ON TAYLOR LEAVING RUSSELL? ARE YOU SURPRISED? PLUS THOUGHTS ON THE CLASH BETWEEN BRANDI AND KYLE?
UPDATE - Taylor’s rep is now denying the split to PEOPLE magazine. A source states that while “their relationship is not without trouble… they’re still together.” The source also denies any financial difficulties. Only time will tell if the original Us Weekly story is true as US tends to be a reliable media outlet.
According to the Wetpaint site, the sisters stepped out a week ago to do some lunching in celebration of their sister Kathy Hilton’sbirthday.
Also present was Faye Resnick, as all signs continue to point to Faye being a new housewife on the show. This is the second time Kim has been photographed in public in the past 2 weeks. And just last week, a fan asked Kyle on twitter about the state of her relationship with Kim, in which she replied, “We’re good.” More photos of Kim and Kyle below.
A “source” close to the situation tells the site the two are taking steps to repair the breakdown in their marriage with the help of renowned psychiatrist, Dr. Charles Sophy.
According to Radar, Russell and Taylor will have sessions with Dr. Sophy together and separately. It gets even better as several of Taylor’s sessions with Dr. Sophy will be filmed for the upcoming season Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. However, it seems Russell is having second thoughts about appearing on camera for the new season a la Jim Bellino.
“Russell hasn’t decided yet if he wants to participate on camera. Dr. Sophy has provided the couple with a great deal of guidance, and they genuinely do seem to be working through their issues,” says the source. “Russell comes across on camera as being very aloof, and reclusive, that just isn’t who he is. Russell wants to work to improve the marriage, it just isn’t Taylor, which is a very, very good sign for the future of their marriage.”
Another source close to the couple tells Radar that there is “a little stress in the marriage” and that they want to make their marriage work. It’s a wonder these two need therapy as they seem perfectly suited for one another.
