Sean Lowe Catherine Giudici wedding

Reality TV Weddings 2014 Kanye and Kim

2014 was a big year for reality TV star weddings.

Of course, the union of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian was the biggest “to do” of them all, but not necessarily in a good way. From parading their terrible fashions (again and again and again) all over Paris and Florence to throwing a tacky wedding reception, it was an exhausting time for us all.

Believe it or not, eleven other couples DARED to get married the same year as KANYE WEST. If you search, there’s probably an epic, egotistical rant on the internet about it. Anyway, the “other” wedding ceremonies, receptions, dresses ranged from tasteless to exquisite, and everything in between.

Bachelor couple Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici were married last night in a live Bachelor Wedding special on ABC. Sean cried. (a lot) I cried. (a little) Sean's father, Jay, officiated the ceremony.  According to Catherine, "grown sexy" was the theme and "very romantic" was the mood.

Catherine looked stunning in her Monique Lhuillier gown!!

Several Bachelor and Bachelorette stars were invited, including host Chris Harrison, JP and Ashley (Hebert) Rosenbaum,  Desiree Hartsock,  Ryan and Trista (Rehn) Sutter, Jef Holm, and many more.  Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump, who competed against Sean on DWTS, attended as well.

If there's a void in your life where the Bachelor used to be, have I got a treat for you! ABC recently announced a month full of Bachelor and Bachelorette related events.  Seriously, every Sunday and Monday night in January, BAM! Bachelor on your TV. ABC is calling it Juan-uary, cause they're clever like that.

The specials kick off on Sunday, January 5 with the Bachelor: Countdown to Juan Pablo. Get an inside look at our newest Bachelor, Juan Pablo Galavis, including an in-depth look at his life as a single dad in Miami.  This special will also feature a behind-the-scenes look at the Bachelor's casting process and an introduction to few of the ladies vying for Juan Pablo's heart.

Juan Pablo's turn as the Bachelor begins on Monday, January 6. Juan Pablo, 32, is a former professional soccer player from Venezuela with a great sense of humor and a sexy accent.  Yes, please.  And I'll have seconds.

Desiree Hartsock at The Grove

Apparently ABC can only afford one Bachelor-franchise proof of success wedding at a time folks! And the first couple to get engaged is the first couple that gets to walk down the fantasy-rose-strewn televised aisle

Earlier this week we announced that Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici's wedding was going to be sending moving Bachelor lovestory montages into our television screens very soon. But there's another franchise star looking to get a made-for-TV wedding as well! Desiree Hartsock, otherwise known as the least popular Bachelorette ever, was angling to get her own nuptials to Chris Siegfried on the TeeVee when she was told, not so fast!

Desiree wasn’t originally on board with the idea of having a TV wedding, but after she thought about it, she realized that this was the perfect opportunity to launch her dream career as a bridal designer,” an source reveals to Life & Style. Oh – yes why not use your wedding not only to celebrate the love of your life but for an ulterior motive to launch your career. Aaahhh…love in the land of the famewhores!

It's official – Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici have set a wedding date!

Bachelor couple Sean and Catherine are set to be married January 26, 2014 in front of family and friends. Oh, and ABC's cameras, of course!

Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici continue to beat the Bachelor odds.

Still together, the engaged couple has settled into a "normal" life in Dallas now that the reality TV offers have dried up.  Sean and Catherine are hoping one more offer will roll in though – a free televised wedding of course!

"We've always said our relationship started on TV, so we may as well solidify it on TV," said Sean. "Hopefully we'll have a date sometime soon."

Sean continued,  "A free wedding is always a good thing.  You can create the wedding of your dream – all her dreams – then you don't have to sit back and worry about the budget and freak out about stuff like that."

Is Bachelorette hunk turned Bachelor star turned Dancing with the Stars contestant Sean Lowe finally done with reality TV?

A few months ago, Sean and Catherine Guidici left that door open, saying, "Opportunities may pop up that are just great and we might feel that they're great for us as a couple." Really? Other than a televised wedding – more on that later – I doubt there's a ton of interest in past Bachelor couples. I mean, like, beyond following them on Twitter and whatnot. Judge me all you want but I'd rather watch the singles whore themselves out on Bachelor Pad

Anyway, turns out that these opportunities which only exist in Sean's ego must not be that appealing, because Sean recently shared that he and Catherine aren't interested in more reality TV. Aww. So sad.
