My mother always told me that good things happen to good people. When I would complain that the mean girl always seemed to get the dream guy or the amazing job, she would remind me that mean people are often miserable no matter what successes they have. She'd say we should feel bad for those who are so hateful and be thankful to have love in our hearts and not be one of those people. Snarking on reality stars aside, I think it's sound advice…and she was right! Just look at Real Housewives of Beverly Hills!
Brandi Glanville has struggled to get back on her feet after a nasty and public divorce, and she's tried to be as straightforward and honest (if not totally brash) when it comes to her life. Her frankness and sharp tongue have proven to be Brandi's greatest allies as she gets the last laugh on her haters. Likewise, Adrienne Maloof, who had me fooled season one, has channeled her inner mean girl, and it's not very becoming.
Adrienne was reportedly using the relationship as leverage to return for season 4, but producers were disinterested in the idea. That must of been the nail in the coffin for this publicity stunt relationship!
"They've decided to distance themselves and become friends. Nothing bad happened," an Adriennesource tells Us Weekly. "They're still going to hang out as friends, they enjoy each other's company."
Adrienne and her new beau Sean Stewart attended the First Annual Have a Heart Silent Auction at Mixology 101, where Mario and Maria Menounos were auctioning off kisses for charity. Adrienne reportedly shelled out $25,000 for the kiss.
Oh sweet Jesus is there really more back and forth between Brandi Glanville and Adrienne Maloof? Yes – of course! While that mess is still ongoing it seems Brandi is willing to put one acrimonious feud behind her!
And one person who is totally in agreement with that idea is friend (and support system) Yolanda Foster! “I made Brandi promise me this week that once her book tour is over she will never say her name again,” Yolanda shared with Perez Hilton. “At some point you need to move on. There’s children involved, so hopefully she can keep her word.”
Yolanda, you and me both. If I ever have to hear LeAnn Rimes' name again, I may turn to drinking and tweeting!
The women of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills seem to be following in the footsteps of their Bravo counterparts. Every day one of them is giving an exclusive interview, and usually at the expense of one of their cast members. Now Camille Grammer is hoping that the hatefulness will end. Or at least that's what she's saying so that she'll stay in the tabloids.
Adrienne Maloof is also working overtime to make sure that she remains relevant, and what better way to do that then to keep reminding us of her May-December romance with Sean Stewart. Enough already! She actually goes so far as to call herself a trendsetter. Yes, you read that correctly. And no, I couldn't make this up if I tried.
It's nice to know Paul Nassif isn't a man to hold a grudge – even against his ex-wife Adrienne Maloof which is really saying something considering the allegations she made during their divorce process.
"As long as she's happy, that's all I care about," he told TMZ. As for whether or not he's still a Rod Stewart fan, Paul said "of course!"
Moving on, Brandi Glanville (and her thigh-high slit) appeared on Good Day LA to promote her new book Drinking & Tweeting – and her dress line Brand B. And by the looks of things only people who look like Brandi herself could pull them off!
Is anyone else out there totally over the Adrienne Maloof/Brandi Glanville drama on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills? I don't even mind Brandi so much, and I definitely don't think that she should have aired Adrienne's dirty laundry, but I also have to wonder…who goes to such great lengths to keep that a secret? I'm just baffled.
I'm also tired of Kyle Richards trying to win back fans (ain't happen' Splits!) by playing nice. She's going to get a rash if she refrains from pot stirring for any length of time. That said, I applaud her efforts to play nice and straddle the fence (those splits come in handy!), but I don't buy any of her behavior as being sincere.
We'll start with the most disingenuous of this week's Bravo blogs, and we'll end with a candid and sincere interview with Kim Richards about her sobriety. Let's get started, shall we?
