EXCLUSIVE: Daphne Wayans Is Excited To Join Season 2 Of Hollywood Exes; Hopes To Change The Trajectory Of Reality TV

Just hours after VH1 announced the addition of Daphne Wayans to the season 2 cast of Hollywood Exes, Daphne took the time to chat with us about reality TV, motherhood, her friendship with her ex, and to share just how well she knows her co-stars.

Preparing for the interview was challenging because there is so little known about Daphne! There were no prior DUI's, no dramatic details about bitter divorce proceedings, no child custody battles or crazy interviews to be found! A real rarity in this business. All we knew about Daphne is that she was previously married to actor Keenen Ivory Wayans and that they share five children together: Jolie, Nala, Keenen Jr, Bella and Daphne.

I kicked off by asking Daphne if there was any truth to the rumor that she was originally meant to be part of season 1. She did confirm this as truth; she was part of the initial pitch for the show, but she simply got cold feet and decided to sit season 1 on the sidelines. What changed her mind for season 2? "The product speaks for itself. It is exactly what I was hoping it would be and even more. She says that what we see is the real deal. "That's the truth of it, that's not PR, that's not anything else."

CONFIRMED: Daphne Wayans Joins The Cast Of Hollywood Exes For Season Two

It's official… not only will Hollywood Exes be back for a second season with the original cast intact, but Daphne Wayans has been added to the cast.

VH1 confirms Daphne's addition to show today via a press release. Daphne is the ex-wife of Keenan Ivory Wayans. They were married from 2001 to 2004 and have five children together. Daphne joins her long-time friends Nicole Murphy and Sheree Fletcher.

Today's press release also reveals that Hollywood Exes was a hit for the network!

Hollywood Exes Renewed For Season 2

Good news for fans of Hollywood Exes! The VH1 realiy show featuring the ex wives of some of Hollywood's most famous men will be back for another season!

VH1 confirmed today that the show has been renewed. We're hoping that means all five ladies (Nicole Murphy, Jessica Canseco, Andrea Kelly, Sheree Fletcher and Mayte Garcia) will sign on for the new season. There have been some rumors of new additions to the show, but so far nothing is confirmed!

This may prove to be an interesting situation for Nicole since the show films in L.A., but her fiance, Michael Strahan, has just signed on to be Kelly Ripa's new co-host – in NYC!

Nicole Murphy Talks About Eddie Murphy And Season One Of Hollywood Exes

Nicole Murphy, star and executive producer of Hollywood Exes, recently spoke out about her relationship with her ex and her hope for the future of the show. Nicole is currently engaged to former NFL player Michael Strahan, but she is the ex wife of Eddie Murphy. They were married for 12 years and have five kids together. Thankfully, they're on good terms now.

"Eddie and I are friends; he’s my babies’ daddy so we speak to each other and have a great relationship. I think that’s important when you have children involved, Nicole told Radar Online. "We can be in the same room and hang out, it’s all good!"

Nicole added, "I don’t have an issue with my ex, I think the other girls are good too, but Drea Kelly is still going through a little something with hers."

Hollywood Exes Recap: That’s A Wrap

This episode wraps up season one of Hollywood Exes. The Exes have shared great times and endured bad times, but season one ends nicely. The women end the season with a toast to a new journey and new friends.

Last week on Hollywood Exes, Mayte Garcia auditioned for a role in a movie. Mayte is anxious, waiting to hear back from her agent. Just as Mayte asks Nelly if she has any pills for anxiety, Gladys calls with the good news. The director loved Mayte's audition tape and wants to offer her the role. Mayte and Nelly celebrate the good news while Mayte's dog Boogie walks on a treadmill. Those L.A. dogs aren't just born that fabulous, you know, they have to work for it!

Sheree Fletcher surprises her husband Terrell Fletcher with a trip to Harley Davidson.Terrell has been pining over a bike for awhile now, but Sheree is against the idea. However, now that she has an agenda, she's down with it. Sheree hopes a new bike will distract Terrell from the fact that his wife lives in L.A. while he lives in San Diego. For ~~ever~~ now, Sheree is not willing to relocate. She's banking on the motorcycle buying her at least another year in L.A.

Hollywood Exes Recap: Check Your Email… They’re All Friends Again!

The Hollywood Exes are focused on their individual business ventures this week.

Sheree Fletcher and Nicole Murphy meet for breakfast. Sheree isn’t willing to relocate to live with her husband, Terrell Fletcher. Terrell lives in San Diego, but Sheree is in L.A. She’s come to realize that she fears losing her identity. She doesn’t want to be reduced to “Pastor’s wife.” Nicole can relate. She says, when she was married to Eddie Murphy, no one knew who she was and her plans were put on the back burner.

Andrea Kelly returns to Millennium to talk to the owner Robert. Andrea is disappointed by the attendance in her dance class. Andrea is stressed – she left everything in Chicago to come to L.A. – but she’s not attracting the crowds she is used to. Her ego is a little bruised, I’m sure. Robert suggests a showcase… and all is right in Andrea’s world again. Andrea leaves excited and hopeful.
