The last episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta was the first one in a long time when every cast member got along. It didn’t provide any GIF or meme-worthy content, but it was significant in a different way.
The Atlanta Housewives came together to film Kenya Moore’s public service announcement about domestic violence.
The door between NeNe Leakes and Porsha Williams remains closed, people! At least for now, and possibly for a good chunk of the season to come on The Real Housewives Of Atlanta. NeNe claims it’s because she is held to a higher standard than Porsha – and the rest of the cast, in fact – when it comes to owning up to her behavior.
Laying blame entirely at Porsha’s feet for their beef, NeNe justifies her actions at Marlo Hampton’s tea party, at which absolutely nothing was resolved between the warring women. NeNe defends, “I definitely don’t think we got anywhere at Marlo’s tea party! I’m still very puzzled as to why I even had to sit down and talk with Porsha about something she totally created.”
Anyone who has been watching the current Real Housewives of Atlanta season knows that Porsha Williamsreached for a story line took issue with NeNe Leakes mentioning her name when a fan asked who should be fired from the show. That interview stood out for a minute, but ironically enough Porsha is the one who gave this interview so much life in the public eye.
And of course, more people are asking the OG cast member to share her thoughts on who should and who should not be on the show. Porsha really just made this whole thing worse for herself, didn’t she?
Yes, it was great to have Tyra in the house, but NeNe was the real star of the show. I’m sure Porsha Williams, Kim Zolciak, and Sheree Whitfield did not enjoy the episode. Even if they didn’t watch it, NeNe had some noteworthy quotes about all of them that I’m sure they’ll have to address at some point.
I was actually really pleased by last night’s Real Housewives Of Atlanta. In addition to the usual drama and bickering, all the ladies came together to film a PSA produced by Kenya Moore about domestic violence. It was thoughtful, emotional, and really prescient – so here’s to RHOA setting a good example for once! Of course we also had to squeeze in some necessary nonsense.
It’s been THREE long weeks since we’ve checked in on our peaches. They went to San Fran, that ended in disaster, and now the disasters have been toted back to Atlanta in borrowed and fake Birkins and trudged on by Jimmy Choos.
Additionally, Sheree is living through the aftermath of last year’s bombshell that her ex-husband Bob Whitfield abused her. Since hiring a life coach, Sheree seems to be opening up about the most private aspects of her life. And she claims that talking to her children about the abuse on camera was tough, but necessary. “Having the conversation about the unhealthy relationship between me and their dad was probably the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do! I love my kids with everything I am and have always chosen to protect them. I never wanted them to look at me as damaged, broken, or less than the strong, loving, fun, supportive mom that they know.”
Given the incessant side-eyeing Kenya Moore’s received over her “secret” nuptials to restauranteur Marc Daly, the Real Housewives Of Atlanta star thinks she has something to prove. And apparently, prove it she will – in a second wedding to Marc slated for 2018! Yup. Kenya will be technically renewing her vows only one year into the marriage. It’s a new Housewives record, people! (And we all know how well multiple weddings/vow renewals go for our beloved Bravolebrities. See: Shannon Beador.)
Kenya shares her appreciation for her phantom husband during the tough time of her grandmother’s passing. She reflects, “It was just a few weeks since Marc actually met my grandmother in Detroit and she smiled so big when she met him. I knew she was happy that I finally had someone to share my life with.”
Last night’s Real Housewives Of Atlanta was all about love. Sweet, blessed, shady, soul mate from another realm love. Lord these ladies need a therapist. Call Dr. Jeff back in!
It was another NeNe Leakes-free episode because apparently she is in LA and Bravo cameras are only permitted there if they’re filming Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (which premieres tomorrow night). What are our thoughts on NeNe getting to participate like every other episode? Like, she misses half the practices but she still gets to play in the all-star games? Hmm. Well, I guess she did start the team!
First up, Sheree Whitfield meets Porsha Williams at an extremely expensive housing fixtures store run by Prince William’s long-lost brother. Sheree pretends she’s buying $8,000 doors for the “spa” she is installing in her basement, but we all know that’s some BS. When life gives you plumbing leaks, make a sauna! Porsha, to her credit, played along nicely that Sheree could actually afford any of this stuff since she was there for the gossip about Sheree’s bae and the mess that happened in San Fran when Cynthia Baileyfled the winery.
