Sister Wives Finale Recap: Lots Going On–Literally

Last night was the season finale of Sister Wives. There were college visits, big decisions, and a lot of running around the desert. When you think about it, that would be the best way to best capture the flowiness of Kody’s mane, which, let’s face it, is the true star of this show.

Logan is graduating from high school, and he has narrowed his college search down to Southern Utah University and UNLV. Mariah wants him to go to SUU, but Madison hopes he’ll stick close by as he’s her best friend. Logan reveals that while his dad, moms, and siblings want him to stick around to be close to the family, but Logan isn’t planning on sticking around till he’s forty to see his brothers and sisters grow up. Can you blame him? His mom Janelle thinks he’ll have more ties to his religion if he goes to SUU. Logan isn’t dead set on whether he’ll be a polygamist. He sounds JUST LIKE Kody when he talks.

Sister Wives Recap: Kody and Meri…And Some Other Wives

Last night’s Sister Wives was more like solo wife, as the majority of the episode focuses on Kody and Meri.

Kody is taking Meri to Mexico…she’s beyond shocked. He’s been saying he wanted to take her back to Mexico for ages, but she never expected him to actually follow through. Kody’s having a hard time packing, given that his closet is spread out among several houses. Kody is hoping that trip will provide him with the opportunity to force Meri into a decision about having another baby with Robyn as the surrogate.

Both Meri and Kody admit that there is pressure when such a big trip is planned. Kody hopes the other wives aren’t expecting the same treatment, and Meri hates that she can’t act too excited for fear of hurting the other wives’ feelings. Robyn and Janelle think that Meri is long overdue for a big trip. Christine agrees and says she’s thinking about where she wants to go on her next Kody vacay…cut to Kody talking about the pressure of his wives’ expectations.

Sister Wives Recap: Brotherly Love and a Sibling Road Trip

On last night’s Sister Wives we were treated to two family filled episodes. In the first, we are introduced to Kody’s brothers. In the second, the older teens are highlighted, and I must say I really like them.

Kody’s brothers arrive to take on Vegas. The family is gathered at Meri’s house. The wives haven’t seen his brothers since the family moved from Utah. We are introduced to Scott and Curtis, and the three Brown brothers head off on motorcycles with Curtis joking he’s going to pick up some ladies. It’s hilarious because Curtis is monogamous unlike his older brothers.

Sister Wives Recaps: Two for the Price of One…IVF and Valentines

Last night we were treated to a double dose of Sister Wives. First off, Kody and Meri tackle their fertility issues, and then the Brown clan celebrates Valentine’s Day polygamist style. Throw in some drama about financing four new homes, and TLC’s bringing the tame drama! I’m not complaining…I’d take tame over crazy any day of the week!

Kody and his wives are trying to find homes in closer proximity with one another. Right now, the wives are all spread out over Las Vegas, and the children (all the children!) aren’t really functioning as a family. The wives meet with a realtor and lender hoping to be able to purchase four houses on the same street. Currently everything on the street is under construction. Basically, two of the wives, if approved for financing, can move into two homes within the next month. However, the other wives will have to wait until their houses are actually built. Kody and his wives reminisce about their perfect home in Utah, but hopefully they will have four perfect homes in Nevada…sometime. The lender admits that it isn’t unusual for her to work with polygamists. However, it’s tricky having five borrowers trying to buy four homes at one time. Kody, his hair, and his spouses vow (0nce again! haha!) to get all the necessary paperwork together for the loan officer.

Sister Wives Recap: The More the “Meri”er

Kody and his Sister Wives have been struggling since moving to Las Vegas, so they are trying to make it a positive experience for the children and all the women. That can only mean one thing…date nights!

Kody has a new car thanks to his marketing gig. The family meets at Robyn’s to see the crew’s new ride. It’s a convertible, so that’s practical given the amount of children this brood has. Wait, am I watching Sister Wives or the Bachelor? It seems as Kody planned individual dates for each wife so that their relationships can grow separate from the giant polygamist family they’ve created. Chris Harrison would be so proud. First up? Meri is granted a decades long promise from Kody, and the couple is going skiing together for the first time.
