According to Life & Style, the always sweet and easy to get along with Mrs. Giudice has taken a turn for the worse and is terrorizing fellow NJ Housewives with her demanding, diva behavior. In fact, the theme for this season might as well be: Teresa Gone Wild!
She is even going so far to talk smack about former BFF Caroline Manzo by “criticizing her cooking and the fact that she does her grown sons’ laundry,”in the forward for her new cookbookFabulicious!. The article also warns fans should expect further jabs from Teresa during her upcoming book tour: “Teresa plans to take the feud further, attacking Caroline while she’s not there to defend herself.” Uh-oh! I can’t wait to see Caroline call Teresa a “clown” next!
An insider reports that Caroline and Jacqueline Laurita are beyond annoyed with Ms. Diva New Jersey: “they don’t know how much more they can take. This isn’t the woman Teresa used to be.” Imagine, reality TV fame changing someone… So, what’s the reason for Teresa’s increasingly demanding behavior?
Since Teresa’s husband Jr. Mafia Joe is having all sorts of money trouble, including filing for bankruptcy to the tune of $11 million and being arrested for multiple driving infractions, it is now Teresa who is “bringing home the bacon” and acting as the main breadwinner for the family of six (and hopefully no more on the way!) with her two cookbook. Teresa’s harder than usual to handle behavior is the result of needing Bravo’s paycheck more than ever so she decided to replace the ousted Danielle Staub as the show’s villainess and wants to become “the most valuable star on Housewives.” A source reveals to Life & Style: “She says Jacqueline’s boring and Caroline’s old. She thinks they can’t do the show without her.” Well – she may have a point – who else is crazy enough to flip a table during dinner?
Unfortunately, Teresa’s not just having issues with money, her husband, and her friends; she is also having problems with her new castmates – who she happens to be related to! Teresa’s sister-in-law Melissa Gorga (who is married to Teresa’s brother Joe) and her cousin Kathy Wakile, are the newest Jersey Housewives, and it has been well documented that Teresa did not want her sister-in-law on the show. In fact, she even threatened to quit if she was brought on, but then Teresa remembered she needs the money, so nevermind that!
Teresa, herself, tells E! Online a different story, claiming Melissa and Kathy never even told her about their participation in the show: “I didn’t find out until I had heard from Bravo,” she said. “I got the phone call from Bravo and I was like blown away. I was like, ‘Really?’ And then that’s what made me a little upset because I was like, ‘Wow, it would have been nice for my brother to call me or my cousin to call me. It’s just weird to me. It really is. Just blows my mind.”
The E! Online article explains Teresa and Joe were once best friends, but the relationship apparently fell part after he married Melissa. Teresa further explains she used to like her sister-in-law until she started getting more attention than Teresa: “I wanted him to get married so bad. That was his third fiancée, so we just wanted him to get married. We always said we wanted our kids to grow up together. And I really wanted her to become the sister I never had.” She even asked Melissa to be the godmother for her daughter, Gabriella.
Teresa claims the strained relationship she has with her family “breaks my heart,” and “that’s why you’re going to see a totally different side of me this season. It’s really sad. I cry a lot on the show and it’s very hard for me.” A different side of Teresa? A side that’s not volatile, argumentative, and violent? Well, it must not be too different because: “in the premiere of season three, a full-on brawl actually breaks out during Melissa and Joe’s christening party for their son after they exchange nasty words with Teresa.” Yikes!
Well the good news is we can likely expect just as much drama without Danielle Staub! Real Housewives of New Jersey premieres May 16th at 10p EST on Bravo.
Will you be watching this season? Do you think Teresa’s behavior will have taken a turn for the worse?
If you have been following the news reports about Teresa Giudice for the past few months, and have recently wondered if things could possibly get worse for the Real Housewives of New Jersey star, we are here to report the answer is yes.
The media outlet RadarOnline has uncovered some new documents filed on Thursday by Roberta A. DeAngelis, the US Trustee overseeing the bankruptcy petition of Teresa and husband Joe Giudice, basically asking the Judge in the case to dismiss the Giudices’ Chapter 7 bankruptcy petition because of fraud.
The main fraud accusation has to do with that little known book Teresa wrote titled Skinny Italian. The accusation is that Teresa failed to disclose the $250,000 advance she received from her publishing deal with Hyperion, which might explain why she went on a $60,000 shopping spree just days after filing.
This is fraud because the contract Teresa signed has been uncovered, and it is dated October 22, 2009, which is exactly a week before she filed for bankruptcy on October 29, 2009 to the tune of $11 million in debt. “The Defendants have knowingly and fraudulently made false oaths in this case” states the court documents.
Popeater also reports that while Teresa acknowledged in an April 2010 examination under oath that she received the book advance, her legal team failed to officially update court records about the newly disclosed assets.
Other assets the couple is accused of concealing include a bank account of Joe’s, two pieces of real property, vehicles, the ownership of an online boutique called TG Fabulicious, as well as Joe’s 1601 Maple Avenue Associates, LLC.
The complaint also accuses the Giudices of presenting false income tax returnsto the bankruptcy court. And as the days go by, prison time is starting to look like a real possibility for the Giudices, that is if the feds decide to file fraud and perjury charges against them.
As if this wasn’t humiliating enough, RadarOnine is also reporting today that Teresa will be hosting a table flipping contest in Delaware on September 25. The site states “Teresa will appear at the Funky Monkey in Wilmington Delaware, where she’ll hold a meet-and-greet with fans and invite women to flip a table for a prize.”
TELL US – WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE LATEST NEWS ABOUT THE GIUDICES?
Not that you needed any more reasons for your disgust dislike of Teresa Giudice, but we’re about to give you 60,000 more.
The NYPost is reporting today that the Real Housewives of New Jersey star celebrated being debt free by going on a $60,000 spending spree, after filing for bankruptcy to the tune of $11 million in debt back in October, 2009.
The shocker hasn’t even come yet. According to the Post, Teresa and hubby Joe Giudice blew $8,800 for curtains and nearly $45,000 on wall hangings, mirrors, frames, tables, urns and chairs, just days after filing bankruptcy. Just days folks…. Unbelievable.
This little tidbit came out yesterday as the morons Giudices had their attorney James Kridel file a court document with receipts that detailed the irresponsible spending, as a way to show the court that some of their auction items were purchased after their filing. The Post reports even Kridel seemed at a loss for words when trying to explain the asinine spending to Judge Morris Stern, saying he knew the documents presented “a dilemma” and that the Judge might view it as “conspicuous consumption.” Ya think?
“These were not Ikea-purchased furniture items,” Judge Stern said. “These were from high-end design stores.”
As we reported yesterday, the judge refused to stop the public auction of the Giudices home items, but postponed it to Oct. 3. Bankruptcy trustee John Sywilok, who has accused the Giudices of concealing assets, was also present during the hearing and stated that right before their bankruptcy filing, the Giudices purchased $21,000 worth of furniture and paid off a total of $11,000 of that amount just two days before filing.
And there’s more folks! While Teresa refused to comment on her irresponsible wasteful disgusting spending spree, hubby Joe, who is said to have been sweating profusely, got a little testy at the reporters. “None of your business! Back off before I get pissed!” stated an angry Joe outside of the courtroom.
And somewhere in America, an average couple is holding multiple jobs to keep a roof over their heads, feed their kids, and pay off their debt, while the Giudices get to remain debt free and live in their $5 mil mansion! Surely this has to be criminal…
UPDATE: Teresa’s lawyer James Kridel tries to explain the unbelievable spending spree she went on just days after filing bankruptcy.“That was the money she earned as an advance for her book Skinny Italian,” her attorney tells PEOPLE. “Since she earned it after the filing, she was absolutely free to spend it.”
It doesn’t end there. Kridel then tries to explain why Teresa needed to buy $60,000 worth of furniture while also acknowledging just how incredibly awful and disgusting this makes his client look. “She needed to re-buy furniture because she didn’t have any furniture in the house,” says Kridel. “It’s a big house and she wanted furniture consistent with her style on the show. There is nothing wrong with doing that, except that it doesn’t look good for her to be doing it.” No Kridel, it doesn’t, not by a long shot.
Must say it’s quite interesting that Teresa managed to receive her book advance just a few days after filing bankruptcy.
