When Sonja Morgan isn't performing impromptu burlesque shows and cooking eight-course meals in her handy toaster oven, she is quite the philanthropist. She has always been very involved with LGBT organizations and AIDS charities, and the Real Housewives of New York star was recently recognized by Inspired New York for her endeavors.
However, it wasn't all do-gooders and kind deeds…some attendees at the event wondered if there could be a romance blooming between Sonja and her co-star Aviva Drescher's ex-husband Harry Dubin. Of course, both Harry and Aviva (along with Bravo's camera crew) were on hand to support the flighty reality star as she accepted her award.
Tom dished, "Sonja gave an unprepared and somewhat rambling thank you speech (but she looked hot so who cares). It seems Aviva has made nicey-nice with her ex hubby Harry Dubin as he sat having friendly conversation with the ladies (Sonja, Aviva, Luann and the new girl) while they filmed for the show. I guess he's all caught up on his alleged past due child support?? Maybe he was dropping of a check? I didn't even know he existed."
According to Tom, the party was cramped and hot with a cash bar with, "some dude rationing out some drink tickets (2 to a person) to the VIPs. Near the end they ran out of tickets and I heard the waitress ask Luann for her credit card which she gave to pay for the last round and a bottle of Ruffino sparkling wine that I drank with some friends (Thanks Countess!)."
Tom shares that there was a lot of filming going on for the new season – and he even ruined Aviva's entrance footage. "While walking in I kissed Aviva hello as she was getting out of her towncar. She kiss me and said ''You messed up the shot''. So they did it over. Sorry Aviva!! So much for unscripted."
Our favorite reality TV stars can't get enough of the spotlight during their regularly scheduled time slots, so they take to Twitter to share even more of their daily lives with us. And we love them for it! Here's a roundup of some of our favorite photos from the Twitterverse this week! Enjoy!
Oh poor Aviva Drescher! She just wants everything to be about her, her, her! Sadly being an overgrown Veruca Salt (with a creepy daddy to boot) doesn't win you friends or fans on reality TV!
Rumor has it that producers for Real Housewives of New York hired an image consultant to boost Aviva's appeal to viewers. Good luck with that, Bravo! Aviva has been spotted filming several scenes with her longtime friend Amanda Sandersaccording to the NY Post's Page Six.
Sources reveal that Sanders, who is actually an image consultant in her real life, was hired by Bravo to "make over" Aviva and turn her into a more "likeable" Housewife – to both fans and her castmates!
Happy Fourth of July, RT readers! Just as our forefathers wanted, I've got some Bravo drama for you on our nation's birthday! Not shockingly, it's from the ladies of Real Housewives of New York.
The craziness starts with a polo lesson courtesy of Ralph Lauren model Nacho Figueras…and I have on good authority that Bravo cameras were there catching every catty situation! The sixth season of RHONY is hyped as being the most dramatic ever, and I'm sure the ladies don't want to disappoint.
The ladies of New York headed over to Coney Island for the annual Mermaid Parade yesterday, with Carole serving as the Queen Mermaid of the event! The RHONY cast really got into the spirit of the parade, complete with costumes. The annual parade almost didn't happen this year because of damage the community suffered from Hurricane Sandy.
Burlesque shows, wacky mermaid costumes…it looks like these ladies are going to have a ball this season and not take themselves too seriously!

Real Housewives of New York fans, we are in for a treat this season, depending on your definition of treat. We haven't heard much from the ladies of NY since their contracts were finally signed and sealed last month and filming got underway.
This weekend Sonja Morgan showed off her saucy side and stripped down for a good cause, putting on a show at the Speakeasy Moderne cabaret party in East Hampton. Sonja was shaking her groove thing for the benefit of the LIGALY Youth Center.
