Mo money, mo problems, right? Maybe the phrase should be "Mona money, Mona problems" because the cast of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta can't seem to stay on the straight and narrow. Leaked sex tapes and funeral shootings and Nikko's smirk, oh my! Mona Scott Young should pitch a spin-off that's sober house meets Couples Therapy. Just kidding…I'm trademarking that idea as I type. TM, Mona, T.M.
So I predicted that Mona posted Stevie J.'s bail after he was arrested for owing more than $1 million in child support (how is that even a thing??), and it turns out I was right. However, it seems that not paying for his children isn't Stevie's only issue (and I'm not counting the Puerto Rican princess).
Mona Scott Young has been accused of a lot of cover-ups lately. According to a new report, Mona is so desperate to protect the Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta brand she is lying about her stars to keep them on the show!
It was Mona who posted the $25k bail for her prized Stevie. It seems Stevie's true financial status has been in question for some time. In April, Mona, along with several producers and music industry execs and insiders who do business with Stevie, were subpoenaed by Project Child Support (a non-profit which aids custodial parents in seeking funds owed for child support), to determine his true "income and revenue sources."
How sweet of Mona Scott Young! I hope Stevie J. names an entree after her at Sleazy & Zino's Bistro and Bar. She deserves it after posting bond for him after he was arrested Monday for failing to pay in excess of $1 million in child support. Okay, so I'm not totally positive that Mona ponied up the cash for Stevie's bail, but I'm also hoping that one of the script writers from Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta will see my proposed story line and hire me to help create the most ratchet of reality television. I'd so love to be responsible for the words that come out of Joseline Hernandez' mouth!
As you know, the Stevie J. bus was parked in jail after the ridiculous reality star was nabbed for allegedly owing $1,107,412.00 in back child support for the two kids he had with ex-girlfriend Carol Bennett back in 1997 and 1998. He's a class act, that one!
The long arm of the law has finally caught up with Love & Hip Hop Atlanta'sStevie J. And no it is not over a shooting at a funeral or for allegedly abusing his current girlfriend. TMZ is reporting that Stevie J was arrested on failure to pay child support. Child support that he has not paid in over 13 years!
It is also against the law to leave a state in which you owe more than $10,000 in back child support. It is not clear if these charges were filed as well, but the child support is due in NYC and he films in Georgia…so I would say he is also guilty of violating the Child Support Recovery Act.
But none of that is the shocking part. The shocking part is just how much he owes.
Forget about riding the Stevie J. bus–theLove & Hip Hop: Atlanta star may want to look into driving one! He's going to need the extra cash to pay the massive (and I mean MASSIVE!) amounts of child support that he allegedly owes.
I will hand it to Stevie, the man likes to go big or go home. This time, he's totally out done himself as his child support debt is described to be one of historical (yes, you read that correctly!) proportions. We've all seen the precious daughter Stevie shares with "maid" for drama co-star Mimi Faust, but he has four other children with additional women. Carol Bennett is a former girlfriend of Stevie's, and the mother of two of his children. You won't believe how much money he's said to owe her!
