In her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills blog this week, Lisa Vanderpump explains how The Vanderpump Dog Foundation began and shares her thoughts on the pantygate drama between Erika Girardi and Dorit Kemsley.

First, Lisa talks about her fight against the Dog Meat Festival and the birth of The Vanderpump Dog Foundation, “As we first entered into the pet world creating Vanderpump Pets, we became slowly enlightened of the brutalities that transpired each year against dogs in China during the summer solstice. In an effort to draw attention to it, we marched to the Chinese embassy, we sent placards around the world, the slogan Stop Yulin Forever was plastered over many t-shirts, a resolution was formed, as we managed to garner interest and support from a congressman and hopefully pass through congress a resolution that would draw attention globally and end this barbarity once and for all.”

Lisa Vanderpump at Capitol Hill

It’s nice to see a Housewife using her platform to do something other than promoting her own brand. This is actually very rare, but Lisa Vanderpump is one of these people. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star puts in a lot of effort to help causes she believes in and she goes beyond writing checks. LVP went to Capitol Hill to speak against the annual Yulin Dog Meat Festival in China and the dog meet trade.

And of course, Lisa could not be a crusader for dogs without bringing her trusty pet and sidekick Giggy with her to Capitol Hill to add a face to the cause.

Eileen Davidson blog

Eileen Davidson channeled her inner Yolanda “Stone Cold” Foster when she wrote her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills blog this week.

“I kind of took a backseat to all the other issues this week. Clearly there are still a lot of problems brewing with everyone, but the real important issues were the causes being supported,” shares Eileen, who goes on to write a mean-spirited blog influenced by her “other” issues with Lisa Vanderpump. Sad. 🙁

Yolanda Foster blog

From Lisa Rinna‘s love of labels to real friends vs. Beverly Hills friends to Lisa Vanderpump‘s love of dogs, Yolanda Foster has lots to say about this week’s episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

“How different life was seven months ago. I guess the only thing constant in life is change, and boy did I experience change in 2015,” says Yolanda. “I fought to live, I loved, I lost, I missed, I hurt, I trusted, I made mistakes, but most of all, I learned..and with that knowledge I choose to move forward, one day at a time.”

Yolanda says she’s proud of Camille Grammer for sharing her “journey” and turning her “mess into a message,” sharing, “I was happy to be able to support her beautiful event, even if it was just for a quick visit.”

Lisa Vanderpump at March to End Dog Cruelty in Yulin

Lisa Vanderpump led the StopYulinForever march in L.A. yesterday to raise awareness and put an end to cruelty against dogs in the annual Yulin Dog Meat Festival in China.

“[This festival] was brought to my attention, and I was absolutely devastated at seeing this kind of heinous, barbaric torture of these poor animals,” the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star said prior to the march. “I don’t feel I could live my life knowing this goes on without making an attempt to stop it.”

Several of Lisa‘s current and former the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-stars attended the march with their pups to show their support, including Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna, Joyce Giraud, and Taylor Armstrong. Rumored new Beverly Hills housewife Kathryn Edwards and former Real Housewives of Orange County star Gretchen Rossi were there, also. Check out pictures from the march below.
