For a few of the moms on Teen Mom 2, it’s been a long time coming for some big moments in their lives. Briana DeJesus joined the cast this season pregnant and still with baby daddy Luis but so much has happened in between, it seems like she’s been pregnant for years. It probably felt like it for her too!
Kailyn Lowry has actually been waiting and working for years to graduate college and this week’s episode shows that she is one step closer to walking across the stage to get her degree. Leah Messer works on a new dream of hers, while Jenelle Evans unexpectedly clashes with her mom Barbara, and Chelsea DeBoer takes her family on a Florida vacation.
Jenelle and David tied the knot in an outdoor ceremony at their home in North Carolina. All three of Jenelle’s kids, Jace, Kaiser, and baby Ensley were at the wedding, as well as David’s daughter Maryssa. She kept her word and didn’t invite her mom, Barbara Evans.
Last night, we all got treated to a bonus episode of Teen Mom 2 and if you happened to miss it, I’m here to give you all the details on what went down.
Kailyn Lowry has waited six long years but she is finally finished with school! As much as she wants to focus on that achievement, Jo has a focus of his own and that’s getting 50/50 custody of Isaac in place. He calls his dad and explain that he tried to talk to Kail about the whole thing first but since she didn’t react well to that and refused to hear him out, he had no choice but to file papers with his lawyer. His dad hopes that it will be resolved before they even get to court but Jo doesn’t look so sure.
Last night’s episode of Teen Mom 2 has given us the long-awaited conclusion of Jenelle Evans’ court battle for Jace. Spoiler alert: Jenelle doesn’t exactly get her way. Speaking of court, Kailyn Lowry thought she could catch a break from it now that her divorce is finalized but her ex, Jo Rivera, has different plans and she finds herself speed dialing a lawyer again. The other Teen Moms have decidedly less drama so let’s start with them.
Life is good for Chelsea DeBoer and husband Cole as they plan for their upcoming wedding reception and settle into life as a family of four. Chelsea meets her Dad downtown at her Stepmom’s shop to pick up the kids after Randy watched them last night. They talk about how Aubree is going to see Adam Lind for Father’s Day but Chelsea isn’t so sure she will actually do anything outside of seeing him. On the drive home, Chelsea asks Aubree if she’s excited to see her Dad and she says he always sleeps when she is there and never plays with him.
Tonight’s episode of Teen Mom 2 left me with more questions than answers when it comes to the state of affairs for Kailyn Lowry, Briana DeJesus and Jenelle Evans. It seems like everything is always up in the air and nothing is ever resolved in their lives.
Starting with Kail, the ups and downs with ex-husband Javi Marroquin continue and ever since he filed for child support, they have been down. Despite the tension, Kail claims she is doing her best to make sure he sees the boys but when he can’t pick them up at the spot she designated, that quickly goes out the window. She decides to meet him in a parking lot that’s convenient for her but after a few texts from him, pulls off angrily and explains in detail to the boys that “Javi” (not Dad) doesn’t have the right car with car seats to pick them up so they have to come to school with her.
Teen Mom 2 is trucking along and it’s a lot of the same old same old. Kailyn Lowryand ex Javi Marroquin were on good terms as of last episode, but we all knew that wouldn’t last long and low and behold, it hasn’t thanks to Javi requesting child support. Briana DeJesus is still feeling stressed and overwhelmed that baby daddy Luis isn’t stepping up to the plate and having an upcoming baby shower doesn’t change that. Leah Messer is seeing Ali’s specialist to get some answers on her recent breathing issues and Chelsea DeBoer is guiding Aubree through her last day of first grade. Finally, we have Jenelle Evans and the never ending drama between her and mother Barb about seeing Jace. It’s not quite as bad as last week’s blow up but clearly, there are plenty of leftover feelings in play.
Starting with Kail and Javi, Kail decides that since they are cool (for now), Javi can come over and spend some time with the boys. How nice of her! She is also relieved he’s coming over because she has a lot to do. While she starts to paint the baby’s room, Javi takes Isaac and Lincoln outside and helps Isaac learn to ride his bike. It’s going great and Javi has to ask Kail to come outside to see. She agrees but tells him to make it quick. Once she sees Isaac riding, she is super excited for him and Javi dutifully runs beside him in the street, making sure he’s safe from falling.
This is Jenelle Evans‘ third? fourth? engagement but the Teen Mom 2 star is confident she’ll make it down the aisle to everlasting love with David Easonso long as the TV cameras are rolling forever and ever. Ain’t that sweet!
Jenelle believes the secret to making their relationship work is because she and Daviddo everything together. Except effective parenting. Like, he’s even helping her launch and produce her upcoming makeup line! Dishing out relationship advice, Jenelle opines: “You stay busy, and if you stay busy there’s nothing really to argue about.” Too bad we see you – we see you on the TV!
We all tend to roll our eyes when reality stars cry “bad editing,” but in the case of Chelsea Houska, the woman has a point! If you’ve been watching Teen Mom 2 this season, you know that Chelsea’s scenes with her family have been brief and very laid-back. Instead of showcasing Chelsea’s happily-ever-after, the show is trying to stir up some drama and storyline where there isn’t one, according to Chelsea.
The Teen Mom 2 star took to Twitter during last night’s episode to share her increasing frustration over the way her scenes and interactions with daughter Aubree, 7, are being edited this season.
