The girls of Teen Mom 2 are at it again. They make a good decision, then they make two bad decisions. They seem to be on the right track, then they derail faster than Chelsea can whine that Adam’s changed. And the guys? Oh the guys! I know boys mature slower than girls, but COME. ON. It’s time to step up to the plate, with everyone acting like adults. There are children involved, after all.
We rejoin Jenelle Evans as she moves back in with mom Barbara after filing domestic violence charges against Kieffer. She is trying to redeem her failing grades and focus on her upcoming nineteenth birthday. Her mother seems passively supportive of her daughter’s efforts, but she is concerned that Kieffer will throw her back off course. The two both agree that Jenelle spending time with son Jace is the right thing to do.

Oh, Leah. Leah, Leah, Leah. MTV, as well as teenage pregnancy awareness groups, often advocate that the Teen Mom spin-offs (along with their 16 and Pregnant predecessors) are doing an amazing job warning young girls about the perils of practicing unsafe sex and having babies too early. While that may be very true, it’s ironic that the same girls featured on these shows as “examples of what not to do” are the ones who are learning nothing from their current situations.
Case in point, Hollybaby.com is citing a story that claims Leah Messer, the just recently divorced mother of twin girls, is expecting her third child with boyfriend Jeremy Calvert, 22. You know, the guy she met in July a month after finalizing her divorce (also the one she moved in with in October). Apparently, she’s taking things slowly for a nineteen-year-old which scares the old lady in me immensely!
One of Leah’s “friends” (God love these girls’ “true friends”) tells InTouch Weekly that Leah has wanted to get pregnant with her new beau’s baby for a while… and that ‘while’ can’t be more than a couple months just by math’s sake, given the pair’s quick courtship. The pal reveals, “She was actively trying to conceive with Jeremy. She stopped using birth control last month.” Can I make a suggestion that will likely be shot down by readers and MTV alike? If your teen moms really want to continue being teen moms several times over, it’s probably time to take them out of the rotation.
On December 9, Leah was seen leaving St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Virginia. According to the source, the already mother of two “was glowing.” States the source, “She looked like she had just heard some big news.” Said witness is apparently also a lip reader, as he/she reported that Leah called Jeremy on her way out of her doctor’s appointment — which confirmed her home pregnancy results — to exclaim, “I’m pregnant.”
The friend continues as he/she is getting paid by the word, “[Leah] sees Jeremy act like a wonderful father and she believes the baby will make the family stronger. She thinks this is the best decision for Ali and Aleeah.” No word currently as to whether the 2-year-old twins’ father, Corey Simms, agrees. I’m going to venture a guess that he’s not on board. A source close to the former spouses agrees, admitting that Corey is beyond angry with his recent ex-wife. Corey, 21, allegedly said, “[She is] a slut and doesn’t have her head on straight.” Let’s watch it with the name calling there, bud. You have daughters to raise!
Another friend (they just come out of the woodwork, don’t they?) shares, “Leah forgets that she’s only been dating Jeremy for a few months.” Concurring is Leah’s stepfather. The pal says, “He thinks she is too young for another kid.”
Hopefully, if this news is true, Jeremy is in on this grand plan. The same blog is also reporting that Leah is ready to bestow the role of new daddy on her live-in love, and she is openly gushing that she’d love to be engaged to Jeremy. Is MTV taking the hint and planning on yet another wedding as the backdrop for season 3 of Teen Mom 2?
“Leah is going full stream ahead, she loves that Jeremy is acting like a father to the girls. She is more than fine with him taking Corey’s place,” says a source, who adds,“She doesn’t see anything wrong with it and is happy to be moving on.”
Not shockingly, Corey isn’t keen on being reduced to second fiddle in the twins’ lives. He retorts, “My girls know who their daddy is. I’d die for my girls. Jeremy is not there to replace me. No one will keep me from them.”
It is a blessing that the girls are loved by so many, with Jeremytweeting on December 16, “Happy Birthday Ali and Aleeah! You girls mean the word to me. I love you both beyond words!” He followed up his well wishes on Tuesday with a declaration to their mother: “@TM2LeahDawn baby I’ll always be there for u no matter what ! I love you!” Funny… not too long ago, Mr. Calvert’s tweets were private. I guess he can’t leave his fans in the dark! Regardless, wow. Oh, Leah. Leah, Leah, Leah.
DO YOU THINK THAT LEAH IS PREGNANT AGAIN? SHOULD SHE BE TRYING TO REPLACE COREY WITH JEREMY IN THE TWINS’ LIFE? TRICK QUESTION—OF COURSE NOT! DO YOU THINK JEREMY’S TWEETS ARE APPROPRIATE OR SHOULD HE BE MORE SENSITIVE TO COREY?
Last night’s Teen Mom 2 doubled the depressing. Jenelle Evans and Kailyn Lowry both battled issues with their distant mothers, while Leah Messer-Simms and Chelsea Houska spent twice the time in the hospital.
Leah is taking time off work to spend time with the twins. She can’t get over her anxiety about Ali’s impending brain MRI. Leah tells her friend that while her daughters are her world, her life would be very different — and probably much easier — if she had waited to have children.
Kailyn is signing the lease on Isaac’s and her new digs. She found the apartment through a non-profit group and she’s keeping the news secret from her mother after getting an ugly note from her mom’s live-in boyfriend. Kailyn is excited to share the news with her boyfriend Jordan and has already decided to turn the laundry room into a small nursery for Isaac since she doesn’t have a washer and dryer. Jordan seems excited about the prospect of being able to visit Kailyn and Isaac without having to deal with her mom or Jo… although it’s hard to tell, as he’s almost as monotone as his girlfriend.

Amber Portwood is having one heckuva year! In the latest drama to plague the Teen Mom star she is back in an Indiana jail after numerous probation violations. Oh dear…
Amber was issued an arrest warrant yesterday for an unknown issue, although it is suspected her arrest is related to failure to comply with the terms of her probation — including staying sober in public. TMZ is reporting that pending a judge’s assessment Amber could land up to two-years in jail for the violations!
Amber’s brother tells E! Online that after his sister missed her most recent probation hearing, authorities went to her house. During the visit, cops went through Amber’s purse and discovered some “old pills” that Amber could not show proof of prescription for. She was then arrested and put in jail.
Following the warrant Amber was booked in Madison County Jail in Indiana, where she is expected to stay through the holidays unless she can post bail. Luckily her salary from MTV should be sufficient! Amber is scheduled to appear in front of a judge, January 13. Her booking photo is below.
This is a disappointing turn of events for Amber who recently admitted to suffering from and receiving treatment for bi-polar disorder and claimed things are looking up for her. Hopefully, Amber will be able to straighten her life out for the sake of Leah.
In other Teen Mom news it’s unfortunately nothing positive. Star Magazine is reporting that Jenelle Evans has no desire to regain full custody of her two-year-old son, Jace. Despite putting some of her legal problems behind her and rebuilding her life, a friend tells the magazine that she believes Jenelle is fine with her mother Barbara Evans retaining at least partial custody and that Jenelle may never be a full-time mom! “I don’t think Jenelle will ever get full custody of Jace. I don’t even think it hurts her,” the family friend reveals.
“Years down the road, when Jenelle might have her life together, it’ll be weird for them to just start living on their own. It’s sad because he’s so happy when he’s with her,” the friend continued, adding that Jenelle is “great with Jace.”
Apparently part of the problem for Jenelle is the Teen Mom 2 star, who signed over custody to her mother following a tumultuous year which included an arrest and a stint in rehab, has gone boy-crazy since her mother stepped in. “Jenelle is obsessed with male attention,” the source discloses “She wants whatever she can get.” #priorities
“It’s not Jace’s fault he was born to Jenelle,” the source — who believes Jace is safer with Barabara — continues, “Barbara didn’t do this for Jenelle; she did it for Jace.” Hopefully Jenelle will realize the importance of motherhood and consider how much her son needs her.
ARE YOU SURPRISED AMBER WAS ARRESTED? DID THE JUDGE MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE? SHOULD JENELLE BE MORE CONCERNED WITH GETTING HER SON BACK?

It seems that even though the ladies girls of Teen Mom 2 have taken over our television sets, the original “mothers” are not going quietly into that good night. Never one to be absent from the tabloids and Internet fodder for long, Amber Portwood is now facing two years in prison… at least she waited for her Child Protective Services case to be closed.
While her ex Gary“Strippergate”Shirley has gained primary custody of the couple’s daughter, Leah, Amber’s clean slate may not be as clean as she’d like. She’s on two years probation for socking Gary while MTV cameras rolled. However, she had just a few stipulations for her probation, and according to TMZ, she’s violated them all. Court documents obtained by the site state that the several terms of Amber’s probation have not been met.
Amber’s probation officer is accusing her of a multitude of violations, including —
— “Failure to behave well in society” — namely, drinking too much and hitting a person at a restaurant last month
— Failure to obtain a GED
— Failure to complete 6 months of anger control evaluation and classes
— Failure to pay probation fees
— Failure to set up a $10,000 college fund for her baby daughter
My personal favorite — “failure to behave well in society” a.k.a. binge drinking and beating up on IHOP restaurant patrons.
Amber’s original sentence for that whole “punching Gary national television” situation was suspended pending she meet the criteria of her probation. Now that she’s been accused otherwise, will she face the two year jail sentence? Her hearing is set for January, so let’s hope the second cycle of Teen Moms ramp up their drama then for competition’s sake we should know more about her legal fate then.
While Amber’s dealing with legal issues, fellow cast mate Farrah Abraham is focusing on matters of the heart. The young mother, at the ripe old age of twenty, is currently romancing Marcel Kaminstein — fourteen years her senior — who she met on the Internet dating site JDate.com.
“I’m happy and hoping for the best,” says the mom of Sophia on her budding relationship. Life & Stylerevealed in September that Farrah is searching for “a man who is happy, supportive, works hard, is successful, can stay in but also go out, is active, outgoing, easygoing, likes children and dogs, can be serious but knows when to have fun, and is a romantic,” per her online profile. You know who that sounds like, right? Paging Kieffer Delp, paging Mr. Delp!
Farrah and Marcel went public with their romance in December. After brunching and beaching in Miami, the couple posed for pictures and shared kisses with Farrah later tweeting, “I had a great time at the beach with my bf!” Tweeting and using tween lingo like “bf” — sounds exactly like what the normal 34-year-old looks for in a 20-year-old lady friend.
A friend of Farrah’s reveals that even 2-year-old Sophia is smitten, stating, “She’s always hugging him. He’s great with kids.” He should be, he’s dating one. Zing! Inappropriate? The magazine reports that Farrah plans to keep Sophia full time in Florida, even though the toddler has been mainly living with Farrah’s mother Debra in Iowa.
So, is this mature suitor the MTV teen (mom) queen’s perfect match? She admits, “I want to build a strong and lasting relationship with him.” Sounds like perfect fodder for season three!

WHAT ARE YOU THOUGHTS ON AMBER’S ALLEGED PROBATION VIOLATIONS? SHOULD SHE SERVE TIME IN JAIL? THOUGHTS ON FARRAH’S NEW RELATIONSHIP? IS HER NEW BOYFRIEND CREEPY — NOT BECAUSE OF THE MATHEMATICAL AGE DIFFERENCE, BUT BECAUSE SHE ACTS LIKE SHE’S TWELVE?
On last night’s Teen Mom 2, Chelsea Houska decides to give jackleg Adam Lind YET ANOTHER chance, Kailyn Lowry finds herself worrying about making ends meet (and she’s the only responsible one!) and Jenelle Evans ends up living in her car with deadbeat boyfriend Kieffer Delp. Don’t these girls make bank for doing this show? Or at least enough to pay rent? It’s depressing to watch, much less recap, but I Just. Can’t. Turn. Away.
Kailyn is feeling the strain of living with her mother and her boyfriend. She shares a note with her friend that she received from said boyfriend after coming in late from work (yes, work… does he realize it could be MUCH worse?). Kailyn is extremely hurt that her mom is turning the other cheek while she works hard and attends school full time. Kailyn is ready to get her own place and cut all ties. I will say her mother has always rubbed me the wrong way.

With Teen Mom 2 back on the rails, we’re likely to see the girls from MTV’s second cycle of the series everywhere we turn. If nothing else, it gives us a much needed break from stories about the ladies of the original Teen Mom, right? The upcoming issue of US Weekly is no exception, highlighting some of the messier relationships the girls face this season, like Leah Messer’s divorce and Chelsea Houska’s horrible relationship decisions.
According to the magazine, even though she’s the one who filed the divorce papers, Leah Messer, 19, is adamant that she had high hopes her marriage would last. She insists, “I wanted to go through counseling, but he didn’t. I wanted the divorce to stop.” The mother of 2-year-old twin girls with her ex-husband, 21-year-old Corey Simms reveals that up until the end, “I was trying to make it work.”
Of course, fast forward to July of this year — a mere month after the couple’s divorce was final — and Leah has met a new man, Jeremy Calvert, 22. After all she’d been through, Leah vowed, “I was never going to have a boyfriend again.” She even admits, “I was scared… I stood him up.” Of her new beau, Leah gushes, “He’s really mature.” As you recall, the lovebirds moved in together in October.
Speaking of people who make me want to shove a pencil in my eye lovebirds, Leah’s co-star Chelsea Houska, 20, is dishing to the magazine about her on-again-off-again relationship with cheating d-bagAdam Lind, the father of their two-year-old daughter Aubree. As of the magazine’s publication, the pair is currently off, but knowing these two, it’s only a matter of time before Adam is nice to Chelsea for a full ninety seconds causing her to fall head over heels and start supporting his freeloading ways.
While Adam has admitted to cheating on Chelsea multiple times, she admits, “I’m comfortable with him.” She continues, “It’s hard to let him go. I can’t even count how many times we’ve gotten back together!” Someone please give this poor girl some self-esteem!
Chelsea’s extremely supportive father joined her family, friends and all of MTV’s viewing population in thinking that his daughter’s relationship was “a trainwreck.” He, unlike Chelsea, must still remember those scathing text messages Adam sent his daughter on their episode of 16 and Pregnant. Of their recent, but now defunct, reconciliation, Chelsea reveals that her dad was “disappointed.”
She says, “I couldn’t explain to him why I do it — I don’t even know… I know it’s not right, but I do it anyway.” Perhaps Chelsea should figure that out and work on showing her daughter what it’s like to value and respect herself so Aubree doesn’t make the same mistakes.
It’s this kind of drama that has more viewers than ever tuning in to watch Leah, Chelsea and their co-stars Jenelle Evans and Kailyn Lowry. TVbytheNumbers.com is reporting that 4.2 million people watched last week’s season premiere, giving it the highest ratings of a premiere in the franchise. The number of viewers increased 21 percent from the show’s first season premiere, not to mention making December 6th, MTV’s most viewed Tuesday night in the network’s history. So, in the words of Chelsea’s father, it may be a “trainwreck” but we certainly can’t turn away from the aftermath.
A new episode of Teen Mom2 premieres tonight at 10PM ET on MTV.

DO YOU THINK LEAH WANTED HER MARRIAGE TO WORK EVEN AFTER FILING FOR DIVORCE? WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON CHELSEA AND ADAM? WILL YOU BE TUNING IN TONIGHT?
With Teen Mom 2 second’s season premiering this past Tuesday night, I am sure the young mothers (if they are anything like their original counterparts) will be giving us a lot on which to report.
Never one to be out of trouble the lime light for long is the troubled Jenelle Evans. I must say that I hope Jenelle (she’s admittedly one of my favorites… I see a lot of potential in her — let the comments begin! :)) gets her life in order, and as Hollybaby.com is reporting, it appears that she is hopefully changing her situation for the better.
Highlighting a recent magazine interview, the blog discusses Jenelle’s decision to check into rehab. She explains, “My life just started spiraling out of control, my emotions were running wild and I didn’t know how to slow them down. I was having trouble quitting marijuana. I just had to get away from all the drama. If I hadn’t gone, I’m pretty sure I’d be in jail.” She continues, “I’m doing everything in the right direction. I’ve learned how to control my anger.”
As viewers of Teen Mom 2 are well aware, it’s Jenelle’s anger — or mishandling of that anger — that gets her in the most trouble. She admits, “Now when I have problems with people, I confront them about it, but I’m civil instead of yelling. I learned it’s better to leave than have Jace watch me argue with my mom.” Well, that revelation is clearly a step in the right direction!
However, Jenelle believes that her mother, the always yelling Barbara Evans, isn’t ready to see her daughter’s improvement… although many would likely say, ‘Can you blame her?’ Still Jenelle reveals, “She’s just really scared of me getting custody back, because I’m so close. She’s going to do anything in her power for me not to get him back.” I have to wonder if Barbara is so anti-Jenelle as Jenelle seems to think, or just simply pro-Jace.
While Jenelle continues with counseling, she wishes her mother would join her in an effort to resolve their issues. According to Jenelle, her mother will not attend therapy. She explains, “She claims she doesn’t need it and that I’m the one that needs it.” Jenelle adds that the pair don’t get together to tune into the MTV hit because it will likely result in a fight. As for Barbara, she comments, “Jenelle continues to struggle with motherhood.”
Still, Barbara hopes that Jenelle will continue to improve. “I’m hoping the situation gets better,” says Barbara. “I can never give up on my daughter, and it’s important to me that Jace has a close relationship with his mom.”
As Jenelle continues to work on herself and her relationships, she also seems to be faring very well (read: incredibly lucky) in her legal battles. EOnline.com reports that Jenelle has once again avoided jail time. After her recent hearing, the reality star (I hate to give these girls that much credence, but MTV already has, so it is what it is) tweeted, “And the judge congratulated me to [sic] being clean since August and got drug tested at court and I passed of course. Probation got continued!!” Now, let’s just take some of that exuberance and channel it into being a mother and regaining custody.
After facing charges for drug possession and, later, assault, U.S. District Judge Marion R. Warren of Brunswick County, North Carolina last week found that Jenelle was abiding by all of her probation terms. Until her probation period expires in April, Jenelle will still be subject to twice monthly drug testing. Jenelle can also cross off her list the required anger-management courses and parenting classes which were a stipulation of her probation, as she has completed them.
Her attorney Dustin Sullivan states, “She has been doing everything that has been asked of her. She’s been doing tremendously well.” He says confidently, “I have no doubt it will be a successful probation.”

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF JENELLE’S INTERVIEW? DO YOU BELIEVE THAT SHE IS TAKING STEPS IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION? SHOULD JENELLE REGAIN CUSTODY IF SHE COMPLETES ALL OF HER PROBATION REQUIREMENTS?
