Teresa Giudice is having like the worst year in the history of bad years. I would say things can only get better but with her federal fraud trial scheduled to begin in February 2014, I don't believe that's true!
This week Teresa and husband Joe Giudice were charged with an additional two indictments for Bank Fraud and Loan Application Fraud, bringing the total number of charges to a whopping 41! FORTY-ONE counts, people! FORTY-ONE. Seriously – I am still in disbelief about the 39 original counts, my brain can't handle more! #CheckMyCharges
Anyway, Teresa says she plans to continue with her career on Real Housewives of New Jersey and as for accusations that she's not taking her legal situation seriously, she said putting on a stoic face is all for the sake of her children.
“Look — every family has problems. Nobody’s perfect,” Teresa tells In Touch Weekly (does she have a contract with them again?!). “I have to be strong for my kids.” Yeah, nobody's perfect but most of us imperfect people manage to avoid allegedly defrauding the government of millions. Teresa and Joe have plead not guilty and plan to contest the situation in a trial scheduled for this February.
Following a season of lackluster ratings, ridiculously transparent producer and editing manipulation, and a déjà vu storyline, Wendy challenged Andy about making changes to the formerly successful show.
Wendy straight up called out this season as "not the best." Andy agreed and admitted, "We need to make some adjustments." When Wendy suggested "new Housewives" and "no more Manzos" or Wakiles, Andy said, "alright, alright" but he seemed off-put and annoyed. I think he's also realizing this show is doomed without MAJOR shakeups!
The couple was slated to stand trial in Newark, NJ on October 8th, but now will appear in court on February 24, 2014! Joe is already standing trial in October for his fake ID trial, the judge opted to push his other fraud trial back as lawyers for both sides petitioned for a continuance.
Yesterday the Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion taped for an EPIC 15 hours! Seriously – is there enough booze in the world for that group to last that long?
We had thought an apocalypse came and claimed Franklin Lakes, NJ since no one was tweeting all day yesterday. Naturally we assumed Jacqueline Laurita had been nabbed by aliens, right? Nope – she was just being quarantined on a sound stage by Bravo. Luckily today she returned, tweeting: "Yesterday was a great day but VERY long!"
Teresa Giudice allegedly brought her attorney to the taping. A girl can never be too prepared! “Teresa wants to clear her name, but she’s extremely limited in what she can talk about,” a source told Wetpaint. “It’s very frustrating to her.”
Are you one of the three people who believe in Teresa Giudice's innocence? Wanna donate to the Free Teresa Foundation? Here's your chance!
Tonight the Maliblue Oyster Bar in Long Island will be hosting a fundraiser for Teresa's legal bills! What about all the creditors she stiffed – do they get a fundraiser?
“We believe Teresa will be vindicated soon but in the meantime, we are collecting funds to aid her defense,” a spokesperson told In Touch Weekly. “She has four young children who desperately need her in their lives.”
So you mean to tell us there's more footage of Teresa Giudice dropping thousands of dollars in cash on over-the-top bling?! Apparently!
According to sources prosecutors have confidentially asked Bravo and Sirens Media to hand over hours of unedited and unaired Real Housewives of New Jersey footage chronicling the Giudice's behavior, which may be used as evidence in their upcoming fraud trial!
“For every hour that airs, there are more than 20 hours of unedited footage,” a source reveals to NY Magazine.“They shoot for three months and end up using only the footage that fits into the story line they want to focus on.”
We know y'all have been dying to discuss the latest and greatest Teresa Giudice exploit, so here it is. Eat your hearts out.
Teresa, whose defense strategy is 'Juicy did it! Y'all know I'm illiterate so I just signed where he told me to sign!', is attempting to walk away from her 39-count federal fraud indictment without doing any jail. You know, stranger things have happened… maybe.
Earlier this week the Giudices entered Not Guilty pleas at their arraignment and the Real Housewives of New Jersey stars had a trial date set. However, according to sources before going before the judge, Teresa and Joe's defense teams attempted to reach a plea agreement with prosecutors and were rejected!
“Teresa wanted a plea deal that keeps her out of jail so she offered to do anything else BUT jail time and have Joe serve all of the time in jail. The prosecutor dismissed the deal outright," a source tells RadarOnline.
