In today’s Real Housewives of New Jersey news, a local NJ store owner is accusing Kathy Wakile’s husband Rich Wakile of bullying him around.
Ed Bergan, owner of the Something Sophisticated clothing store in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey did a photo shoot with Rich and his son Joseph to help promote his store after they reached out to him. In exchange, they received some free shirts (two shirts apiece).
That all sounds good enough. However some drama ensued when according to Ed, Rich decided he didn’t get enough free shirts (the polo shirts retail for close to $100 a piece) and had his assistant send the store a scathing email, demanding they stop using Rich’s image to promote the store.
In the email, which was sent to Reality Tea, an assistant for both Kathy and Rich writes, “Richard and Joseph lending themselves to your shop for a photo shoot is definitively much more of a benefit to you than it is to them… I feel it is totally of bad taste and disrespectful not only to give both Richard and Joseph a limit of two items that they could take from your shop.”
The email continues, “Two shirts at a price point of a total for maybe $100 in exchange for all that associated your shop with both Richard and Joseph is not at all being thankful nor grateful for whom they are. Richard and his family are already established brands.” Wowzers.
To end the email, the assistant Leslie Mota then demands the store immediately stop using the Wakiles’ images for any promotion. “I must regretfully inform you that we are not allowing the pictures to be used by you, your shop and/or photographer in anyway. We are not authorizing you to use them for the purpose of promoting your business and/or clothes line.”
The store owner first relayed the story to Tom Murro of Celebritymagnet.com, who was there visiting the store with new couple Kim Granatell and Michael Lohan. Yes the two are reportedly now dating. Tom adds that the store however has other supporters in the form of the Manzo brothers, and as for Kim G., she was “disgusted beyond words” upon hearing the store owner’s story.
The Wakiles have yet to respond to this story. In their defense, these are the words of their assistant… though the assistant was likely doing their bidding. A screen shot of the entire email is below plus a photo of Kim G. and Michael Lohan at the store.
Meanwhile, a week after writing the following on her blog – “It’s getting harder and harder to keep the girls from reading the outrageous headlines when we’re in the store,” Teresa Giudice once again graces the cover of In Touch magazine while granting them yet another interview! The cover story this time around? “I’m Terrified of Being Poor.”
Teresa is pictured on the cover with one of her daughters which brings up a point made by one of our readers, Frankswif3y, who questioned in a recent comment if Teresa is using images of her kids to gain public sympathy. Kim Kardashian Receives Backlash For Casey Anthony Comments, Plus Other Reality Stars Speak Out
Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kim Kardashian found herself on the receiving end of some very public backlash yesterday, all over the Casey Anthony verdict.
Moments after the
disgustingshocking not guilty verdict came in the Florida case yesterday, majority of the public were incredibly outraged and many compared the results of the case to that of the now infamous 1995 O.J. Simpson verdict.The irony of the situation was lost on poor Kimmie whose father, the late Robert Kardashian, happened to be one of OJ’s defense attorneys who got him off the hook. Kimmie took to her twitter page to voice her opinions. “WHAT!!!!???!!!! CASEY ANTHONY FOUND NOT GUILTY!!!! I am speechless!!!” tweeted Kim. “I am truly sick over the Casey Anthony verdict! So if the courts don’t believe she is guilty then who do they think killed this little baby?” she added.
Immediately after making her tweets, Kim received some very nasty and negative replies from many who felt she should not be commenting on the case due to her dad’s involvement in the OJ case. “ME TOO!! ITS LIKE WHEN YOUR DAD HELPED GET O.J. OFF!!” was one of the more popular responses made by a twitter user to Kim’s statement of being “speechless.”
Kimmie then tweeted, “Reading the comments here &its nuts people think just bc I was close to the OJ trial I can’t have my own opinion on the Casey Anthony case?” To which a
geniustwitter user @MattHelgeson replied, “To be fair I don’t think you should have opinions about anything, not just this case.” Kimmie took the hint and stopped tweeting about the case all together.Meanwhile, other reality stars were also outraged by the verdict. Below are some of those tweets -

What’s sad is that when this is all said and done, Casey will end up wealthier than ever with the paid interviews, million dollar book deal, made for TV movie and of course somewhere down the line perhaps her own reality show. In fact an offer to star in a porn movie has already been made to her. Disgusting times we live in these days. As for Kim, she shouldn’t be held responsible for her father’s actions, but perhaps she should have had some tact and stayed away from the issue.
