Today is a big day for Girls Next Door alum Holly Madison with the release of her tell-all Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny. Hugh Hefner’s ex and the former Holly’s World star has written a memoir detailing her time in the iconic Playboy mansion, as well as her relationship with Hef himself. She’s already piqued the public’s curiosity with tales of Hef offering her drugs and her less than friendly relationship with co-star Kendra Wilkinson.
While Holly stole many hearts as the sweet and ditzy Playmate vying for Hef’s affections (and bed) on Girls Next Door, her book paints a less rosy picture of what went on behind closed doors. Not surprisingly, not everyone (I’m looking at you, Hef!) is on board with her recollections of her Playboy mansion past. As Holly hopes for a successful book toured topped off with a potential movie adaptation, Hef is defending himself against some of her accusations.
In her book, Holly claimed Hugh offered her “thigh opener” drugs the first time he met her. Creepy, right? Yet, despite the warning signs, Holly stayed the night and moved into the mansion a few weeks later. A decision which led to years of verbal and emotional abuse.
The wait is almost over. Holly Madison‘s book, Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny, hits stores June 23rd. I fully admit that I have already pre-ordered the Kindle version. Holly was (still is) my favorite from The Girls Next Door.
“I’m excited to finally share my story and what I have learned from my personal experiences both inside and outside of the Playboy Mansion,” Holly said when she announced Down The Rabbit Hole in March. “I think my stories will surprise people and I’m looking forward to lifting the veil of mystique and clearing up the misconceptions so often associated with my life.”
Former The Girls Next Door star Kendra Wilkinson is super excited about her husband's newest business venture. Sadly, Hank Baskett's NFLcareer isn't going so well. He's currently a free agent, but Kendra says he has "moved onto the next phase of his life."
The good news – Hank has opened a gym in Los Angeles with his friend Travelle Gaines. They named the gym Performance Gaines. Kendra describes the gym as a private training facility where pro athletes can come to train. Kendra could not be more proud of her husband.
"He loves it," gushesKendra. "This is exactly what he wanted to do in his life."
